We (family of 2+2) have stayed at Scandic Eden Nokia Spa hotel last 3 Eater holidays. This year we decided to try another hotel - Holiday Club Turun Caribia which is more than 50% more expensive so the expectations were higher. I will compare those two hotels as rivals:
+ location very near to city center of Turku and beside to Super park (kids inside playground)
+ nice K-market just 200m from the Hotel opened 7:00-22:00
+ very good breakfast with a big selection of everything also for gluten free / vegan people
+ dedicated swimming pool (16.7m long) for swimmers and aqua aerobic
+ large jacuzzi for more people and space for swimming for kids
+ outdoor swimming pool with a warm water (in Nokia is much colder water outside)
+ 2x quite long slide with tubes that you sit on
+ we have had quite big family room

The original capital of Finland, Turku is the country’s oldest city that features a bustling harbour, an array of museums and restaurants, and is renowned for being the cradle of Finnish culture.
During the summer Turku’s waterfronts come alive with boat bars and cafés, along with popular festivals such as Ruisrock Festival and Turku Music Festival, which are held in July and August respectively.
The city offers a number of entertainment options and landmarks such as the Wäinö Aaltonen Museum of Art, Turku Cathedral and the medieval Turku Castle, which overlooks the harbour.
Tallink Silja Terminal and Viking Line Terminal offer regular ferry services to destinations such as Stockholm, Åland Islands and Moomin World Theme Park, located on the island of Kailo.

Turku is a very nice smaller city in FInland. There are lots of intereting places to visit in the surrounding area, the river aura, the cathedral, the museum, the harbour, Ruisallo island, the botanical gardens. Also plenty of good places to eat.

We didn't get to see much of Turku, unfortunately. We stayed there as it was convenient for Naantali. However, there were a number of museums and galleries etc that I would have liked to have seen.

It is a good experience from spring until autumn.
It is a good experience from spring until autumn. In between everything is gloomer with less opportunities. At any time of year, you should not expect that most people will meet your eyes nor smile. Nature is nice and during the summer there are possibilities visiting archipelago. If you are in the downtown, don't forget to visit over 100 year old Turku market hall, where you can have a great lunch and feel the local vibe. There are also plenty of unique nature walks around the sea or forests close b

Nice places to visit: Turku Castle, Cathedral. The city is beautiful and very clean.
Ate a couple of times at Timbuktu. Very nice African restaurant.
Public transport is cheap, on-time and convenient. It is 3 euros for two hours on any bus line.
The city doesn't sleep in summer time. Firsthand experience!

Just a lovely city with plenty of attractions to visit, naval history, medieval castle, lovely parks, plenty of choice regarding eating out (recommend Panimoravintola Koulu; Lone Star (burgers, fries)), easy to get around by walking, bike and/or scooter. Great base for exploring the islands of the Turku Archipelago. Must see attractions include Luostarimaki open air history quarter, walking or running along the Aura river, Turku medieval castle at Linnanpuisto park, Ispoinen beach and Sauna; various historical sailing ships along the Aura.

I went to Turku for Knotfest, so I didn't have enough time to see all the views. But, since I've been to Turku many times, I can tell you that it is an excellent place to visit with many sights to see, and not overly touristy. I recommend seeing Turun Linna (Turku castle), the River Aura, the old wooden neighborhoods, and the Turku cathedral.
If you are traveling on a budget, the public transport system works well, unless you use it after midnight when music festivals have just finished, such as Knotfest. In that case, be prepared to get ditched by bus drivers. For cheap food, you can download the ResQ app to buy cheap lunches from restaurants and help reduce food waste in the process. Here's the link, if you would like to check it out: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=club.resq.android&hl=en
I enjoyed my stay in Linnasmäki hotel. The room was quite clean and comfortable.
The breakfast is really good, tasty and high quality.
I would like to extend my appreciation to Katja from the reception for her hospitality, friendliness and helpfulnes. She made sure everything is fine and helped immediately when needed. Thank you for your excellent customer service.
I recommend hotel Linnasmäki and would stay here again during my next visit to Turku.
The arrival was easy, rapid and convenient. The process is contactless, and you get all the needed information before your arrival. The room was larger than I expected, with a nice view on the Turku Cathedral. Everything was clean, well equipped and quiet. Overall a great choice if you stay in Turku for a weekend or more, as the hotel is well located downtown, and only 15min walk from the University (if that is of interest for you).
Hotel atmosphere as an old jail is still living in there but everything has been updated and upgraded for modern hotel.
The stairs between floors are the biggest reminder of old purpose of the building, nice that they have not been replaced. Even though they were so quiet to step so maybe some upgrade has been made?
Breakfast included famous Kakola oatmeal porridge which was good, maybe better than previous residents had?
The breakfast was generous, varied and delicious. Service was efficient. The location was ok -it was close to the University where my meetings took place and though it was a bit far from the city centre, it was a walkable distance; all in all the location was fine. In addition, as a black woman travelling alone, I felt safe and at home in the Original Sokos Hotel Kupittaa.
The staff was really nice, they were happy to fulfill any request we had. The room was spacious and fully equipped. Great location: 15 mins from all places of interest in Turku. As for COVID measures, it's pretty safe. Breakfast area has a lot of space, so no contact with other people at all. Overall, the hotel is definitely one of the best in Turku.
Lovely stay in Port Arthur, short stretch from Kakola hill and Turku Castle. Lovely garden and friendly neighbours. Apartment silent and confortable, well furnished and nice bed. Different coffee making options. Cooking facilities in place. Clean and cozy, good linen. Handy with bicycles.
I had an outstanding experience with Centro Hotel! The breakfast was excellent. The evening light meal buffet was also included in the price, it was also very convenient and the food was delicious. The personnel was very friendly! The location is excellent. I highly recommend this hotel!
-Excellent location, near centre of Turku (walk about 5 mins to Hansa Turku shopping centre)
-Near bus stop, Brahenkatu
-Friendly staff, provide delicious breakfast buffet
-Comfortable room and bathroom( there are towels, shampoo, body wash), hot water to bath
All is as described in BC flat presentation. Good location 10 min from the market place by foot. Quiet, good matress. New building, all is working. Excellent ie. for a couple who seek for a week stay. October day price was half of Turku hotels.
I had special requests and they filled them all. Staff was very friendly and the room was nice with the view I asked for. Parking was easy and it was easy to explore the city from the hotel. Nothing bad to say!
Parking hall was right next to the apartment. The accommodation is also in close proximity to the harbour and 10 min car drive to the city centre. Turku Castle and Marine museum are nearby as well.
It is located inside an university residence. Room is rather small, with bathroom. It is a useful place if you do not want to spend a lot of money on a hotel. Price is good for Finland.
The apartment was terrific for my family of 5, and we loved the sauna. The facilities, including the aqua park, were fantastic, and the breakfast was well worth the price.
