Really good hotel right on the beach and a short walk to all the bars and restaurants. We had a room with a garden view which actually was the car park but there were nice trees so was nice to sit on the balcony in the sun. The staff were helpful and pleasant, we did not have breakfast but it smelled delicious. Would stay here again

Arcachon is a French resort on the Atlantic coast, about 55 km from the city of Bordeaux. Known for its oyster farms, Dune of Pyla, the long sandy beaches and the Victorian houses, this seaside city is a perfect holiday destination.
Set among the ocean and a pine forest, the breathtaking Great Dune of Pyla is the tallest sand dune in Europe. Reaching a height of about 107 metres and a length of 3 km, this natural miracle is a massive hill ideal for paragliding.
Popular for its oyster production, Arcachon was home to one of the first farms opened in 1849. Today about 60% of the oysters in France come from this region. Visit a waterside restaurant and savour delicious oyster dishes accompanied by a glass of fine French wine.
The Landes forest is the biggest maritime pine forest in Europe, filled with a wonderful natural park with cycle paths. Booking.com will help you find the right hotel, apartment or holiday home in the area of Arcachon.
Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport is in the small town of Mérignac. The airport has flights to big cities like Dublin, Barcelona, London and Lisbon.
Arcachon is a rather unique bay, very worth visiting.
Arcachon is a rather unique bay, very worth visiting. It has great nature and wildlife (birds), in addition to interesting early 20th century architecture. The area is quaint and good humored with lots of families staying and visiting the area. Access can be congested during rush hour and on top vacation days! The food is outstanding, both in restaurants (we recommend Le Saint Ferdinand! Great seafood!) and at local food stores and bakeries!
Climbing the Dune du Pilat is a must with phenomenal 360 degr. views!
The boardwalk in Arcachon proper along the bay is gorgeous!

Attractive location and a good place to stay.
Attractive location and a good place to stay. We wanted to visit Bordeaux but didn’t want to stay in the city. Arcachon has a good regular service by train into the city and this suited us well.
You need to know that boat trips around the bay have to be booked in advance and will cancel your booking if there are too few passengers. We didn’t manage to get a successful booking.
Arcachon is a seafood paradise for those wanting oysters, crustaceans and fish. It’s also more expensive, we assumed because it’s a tourist haven.

The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. We had booked dinner in a nearby hotel for a dinner and the staff organised a taxi for us to travel there. Otherwise, everything you needed is in a pleasant walking distance. I can't wait to return to Arachon

Arcachon is a clean and welcoming place with plenty to do and lots of lovely places to eat. There are many options for boat trips in the Bassin d’ Arcachon, which are well worth doing. There is an excellent, cheap bus service to access places further than walking distance and the station has regular trains.
This was a very nice apartment rather than a traditional hotel. So you get a Whatsapp message from the owner with the digital door codes, a slightly more difficult payment method for city tax, but once that is over your in. Chosen as a Pet friendly place it has all the comforts for a cosy home, and has a deck feature to sunbathe, as we didnt choose the harbour view. The place is 15 minutes away from our main destination - The Dunes du Pilat. We did try the breakfast downstairs looking at the harbour which has a breakfast deal.
I am sorry to say, but i did not like anything but the location of the property.
It is totally outdated, dirty, not renovated for a very long time. Space is scarce. Our room was handed to us without being vacuumed - full of hairs and sand. Just awful. Personal not particularly helpful. It seems it is just exploited without any reinvestment. It is understaffed. Reception was available only like after 11 am- 12 pm. I am sorry, but i would not recommend it at all. there are other see front properties in Arcachon to check.
We got a splendid big room with see and market view. During our 3 nights stay the staff was super nice and smiley every time we passed by the reception. You can feel that they all enjoy their work being full passenger oriented. Sébastien was our main host in the hotel and he was friendly and super caring. People like him make a full difference no matter if you are staying in a luxury or budget hotel. Thanks!
Our hosts were warm, welcoming, and competent. Breakfast was terrific, with homemade pasteries as well as yogurt, fresh fruit, bread, homemade jams and jellies and more. The house is charming, in an old restored villa with abundant art work and immaculate and modern bathrooms. The location was close to the best beach and walking/bicycling trails on one side, and charming Arcachon center on the other.
Really appreciated and enjoyed the surprise upgrade to "The Junior Suite" as we decided to stay a few days longer than had originally planned (we extended our stay since the people and area of Arcachon were so nice & good to us)! Somehow the cleaning staff was always able to clean & make our bed... around our non-predictable schedule and yet never be seen by us, just like magic.
Location was perfect, very central, easy access to the centre of Arcachon. Very quiet block of flats. Flat was very clean and nicely decorated and very light (loved it). Terrace which was nice. Bedding was very good also.
Thank you Mireille, nice to meet you, very easy to get our keys and arrange a time.
The breakfast was excellent as seems to be the rule in France. The modern decor (each room has a name as well as a number and the name seems to suggest a theme, though I only saw my one room so I'm uncertain) and the really bright spaces really suited the beach town feeling.
Beautiful quirky boutique hotel very close to train station, bus route and the beachfront.
Room was very nice.
Bathrobes provided.
Staff were very welcoming
Breakfast was lovely as was roof terrace.
Sparkling/ still water complimentary which is a really nice touch.
The hotel is located in Arcachon centre, right on the sea promenade. It is modern and it has also a private underground parking, which is really convenient. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated. Good ratio quality/price.
The apartment was very clean and ideally located. It is kid friendly and is also very well equipped. Private parking space is also available. Would definitely recommend booking this apartment if you are visiting Arcachon.
Hotel and location were perfect. Staff were helpful and nothing was a problem. Close to numerous cafes and restaurants. Beach was minutes from Hotel. Room was lovely and overlooked beach. Thank you 😊.
