The flat and its situation were very pleasant but not suitable for us who are in our mid eighties. Had this been clearer it would have been helpful. Also more clarity about the address would have been useful. The owner when phoned was good and we managed and enjoyed our stay. This is not a complaint but a suggestion that the advert and name of property be improved

Lovely old house in rural edge of town, which has an excellent choice of restaurants . Marie is a very pleasant and friendly host.
We were not visiting Bernay. The hotel was an overnight stop avoiding Rouen centre hotels, and the cheap hotels in the surrounding suburbs. Most of which I find ghastly. We ate at the adjacent restaurant, as there was no obvious alternative in the immediate vicinity. An interesting if not inexpensive experience, but hey we're on holiday and would go there again.

Bernay is a lovely quiet town with all the amenities you will need. Be careful though on market days (we arrived on Saturday)the streets are closed to traffic until 3.30 . Would recommend the restaurants at the bottom of the main street very good food and lovely staff.
We loved the couple who now own the hotel. It’s an old place and shows some wear and tear but the new owners have only been there 6 months. It has a lot of potential. It was perfect for our needs. We were only passing through on our way to a factory tour. We would stay again. It has a very homey feel to it - just needs a little modernizing. It was very clean. Bernay, by the way, is a lovely little town with a small river passing through it. Easy to explore.
Perfectly nice hotel in the old center of Bernay. Simple but clean room and very friendly ladies at the reception. Better breakfast facilities than we had in some 3 star hotels on our trip. Also very pleased about the private parking. Eating out tip: Chant d'ivresse, a much, much better and far more original option than all the average brasseries you tend to find just about everywhere in France.
This place is a super stopover for traveling up back to the uk or down to south of France. Especially when traveling with dogs. Rooms are really lovely and the staff are super nice. Plus the rooms are key entry so you don’t have to worry about getting room keys. Plus Bernay is a lovely little town in Normandy and a short walk away it has some great places to eat.
The hotel is ideally situated for an overnight stay when returning to Calais from the South. It is very comfortable and the staff are exceptionally welcoming. Breakfast is available from 6am which is perfect when you need to make an early start and is excellent. There is a very good restaurant a few steps away from the hotel as well.
Pretty, small hotel, excellent decor and furnishings. Friendly and helpful staff, very good breakfast, comfortable and quiet room. Pool and other facilities looked good. Location was fine but not spectacular with good parking. Close to town but you would probably want to drive in as it's a bit of a climb back.
Second stay here - easy access to bernay on foot, free parking, lovely pool area, fantastic breakfast. The room we had was perfect for a family of four, massive bedroom, fridge and microwave which are very handy when travelling with toddlers. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this lovely hotel
Location was easy to find, on the hill as you enter the town of Bernay. Plenty of off-road parking. Spacious breakfast area and conservatory. Very comfortable and warm rooms and the bed was perfect, I managed 6 hours solid sleep which was a bonus.
Out of town hotel so very quiet with a restaurant in the car park, very convenient for onwards journey. Staff were friendly, pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was ok but not spectacular. Room was clean and comfortable and just about big enough
Safe parking, supermarket opposite (but quiet location), Bernay village with restaurants in walking distance - perfect for a stopover from Le Shuttle.
Bonus of a fridge with icebox - again, great when travelling on.
The breakfast was very good plenty of everything and very attentive young woman on hand.
The location was excellent an easy walk into Bernay for an evening meal.
We much appreciated the fridge in our bedroom.
