The pool area was amazing. Lovely and clean. Brilliant slides for the kids. Table tennis, football, tennis all included. Aqua aerobics several times a day. Lovely, affordable restaurant and nice family entertainment on a night. Near to a lidl for self catering. The staff were lovely and friendly. Be prepared to speak a little French as not everyone speaks English ( but I quite liked that!)
On a great bus route and lots of electric scooters out the front to go exploring on. A 25 min walk to the beach which was gorgeous and clean. Lots to do in the area!

Le Barcarès really surprised me. A very lovely small town, really well organized with nice markets and good food. Although the city itself doesn't have much to do in the winter we we're lucky enough to enjoy two days of nice weather (around 22°C) with a walk on the beach. The city is also close to Perpignan (about half an hour drive) and other beautiful landscapes in the south of France.

BARCARES IS A LOVELY SMALL TOWN WITH A SUPER PORT AND MARINA.THE BEACHES ARE FABULOUS AND EXTENSIVE.THER IS A REGULAR MARKET IN THE HIGH SEASON IN THE MAIN SQUARE THAT IS SUPERB. QUITE OFTEN THERE IS EVENING ENTERTAINMENT THERE, WHERE EVERYONE CAN JOIN IN DANCING, OR JUST CHILLING WATCHING OTHERS ENJOYING THE ATMOSPHERE.ITS A LOVELY PLACE AND CENTRAL TO THE SURROUNDING AREA WHERE MANY MORE VILLAGES AND BEACHES ARE EASILY ACCESSABLE.PUBLIC TRANSPORT IS FREQUENT AND CHEAP.IF YOU ARE INTO BOATING AND WATERSPORTS ITS PARADISE.
We stayed overnight while travelling with our bikes. The accommodation is up four flights of stairs and is reasonably well equipped with a small balcony large enough for eating outside. It was quiet and peaceful.
The basic cost was fine for us as we were camping some of the time and therefore had our own bed linen, otherwise bed linen is an additional payment.
There is also an expectation that the property is cleaned when leaving- again we were fine with this at the price.
Thank you, Fred for a good overnight stay.
Helpful and friendly staff, and not just the owner, they all were.
Good variety of breakfast, and plenty of it. Outdoor seating area available to enjoy the morning sunshine.
Our king size room overlooking the beach was ideal, bed linen good quality, brilliant shower.
Hotel location was perfect for parking, beach and town access, restaurants and the market. Despite being October with several places closed, there was still some choice of good places to eat.
The location is great, public free parking right in front (not sure how it is during busy periods, as we stayed off-season), friendly and collaborative staff, English speakers are available. The room is very clean and hotel offers decent breakfast, even though we didn´t get it (for our option). Location easy to find and the staff was kind enough to share assertive information on how to get into the facility even though we checked in late in the evening.
It was close to the beach, 3min from the promenade.
It had a parking lot, even it was outside the residence parking lots.
Close to cruise ship Lydia the emblem of Le Barcares, which we took advantage to visit it free of charge on patrimony days.
It was at the1floor and had an elevator(we did not used it much)
To be rented only if you go there for sleeping and you are out for the day.
Hotel La Casa is a great small hotel right across the street from the beach. Our window opened onto a sea view. Our room, bathroom and the whole hotel was super clean. Great shower in newly renovated bathroom.
Breakfast was wonderful, with the option to eat on the front terrace in the sunshine.
Lots of restaurants right outside the door.
The staff was wonderful. Highly recommend!
Very comfortable room with great AC at the beach and in the town with lots of restaurants and a street market in the evenings. Also plenty of free parking. Very nice breakfast and the attached Snack bar had some excellent food. The staff was very nice as well. A really good choice for Le Barcares
The location: 5/10 mins from the beach; the layout: indoor & outdoor spaces; the security: gated and all windows shuttered; facilities: 2 loos, 2 showers, utility room, air con upstairs and downstairs, superb sun area & electric awning
we had no check in because the elevator could not fit in son (he uses wheelchair) and myself to get 5th floor.
so this appartment not good for people on electrical wheelchair unless they do not need assistanse.
location is good, but strange thing was yo will have to pay for wifi like 8€\devise , unresponsive staff, when you will get there 100€/night or more for deposit money they ask otherwise you know.
It was very clean and modern. Very well equipped, had everything you may want.
I like the garden, patio area.
Location is good- short walk to beach and supermarket.
The apartment is really nice and cosy, the location is perfect, the views are wonderful! And the host is very attentive. Thank you so much, we’d like to come back.
Very kind & helpful family running the hotel. The bed was very comfortable, clean, and soft. I slept with my baby and we both got amazing night's rest.
