Hosts were amazing, the chateau is gorgeous and well kept, breakfast was excellent with freshly baked bread and home made jams. The rooms are beautiful .
This is a 'go to' hotel and restaurant whenever we are in the area.
The staff are very friendly. Check in is seamless.
Large secure car park.
The restaurant atmosphere is wonderful. We eat well every time. In October, the truffle menu is a must and not to be missed.
The rooms are large, and quiet.
The bar/lounge is a great place to finish up the day with a quiet drink.
The hotel is charming, a home away from home.
The room was much larger than I had expected, which was fantastic. Well laid out with plenty of space for suitcases, etc. The bed was a great size, and very comfortable. Extra bedding and pillows were available. Loved that there was a bathtub, especially as the weather was freezing and we had a long drive prior to arrival. Staff were friendly. Dinner at the restaurant was very tasty. We enjoyed breakfast as well.
Our room was very spacious and comfortable.
Communication was very helpful with regards to our dogs visit prior to our arrival.
The location is perfect for a motorway stopover, you would never realise just how close & accessible the hotel is, as it is peaceful location.
The restaurant served wonderful fresh delicious food.
Breakfast provided a good selection of buffet foods and refreshments.
The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful! Nicolas also arranged an amazing champagne dégustation for us with a grand cru producer otherwise unknown to us (Simon Michelot) - amazing stuff. The town of Matougues is rather sleepy, but you're close to the Côte des Blancs and so many other great places. A car is practically necessary though. Nicholas's tip sheet is excellent...
Had a lovely stay in a family room. Very nice hotel, great food, good wines. Clean and nicely decorated room. Enjoyed heated swimming pool and little garden. Very convenient location, free parking. Very friendly and accommodating staff. would definitely recommend this place!
In spite of being adjacent to a main road the hotel was quiet. A well landscaped courtyard was a lovely place to relax with an aperitif! The effect of COVID has diminished the menu of the restaurant which used to be renowned for its use of truffle.
The hotel was adorable and a fantastic value for the money. We stayed in a family suite and the children loved that their rooms were in an upstairs room with separate twin beds. the reception and staff were very accommodating.
The staff were really helpful and friendly. The restaurant was excellent. The Hotel is quite individual and has character. It is situated conveniently from the motorway.
