Absolutely everything was divine! The room was huge, spotlessly clean, and is appointed to the highest standard. It has a beautifully comfy bed, plenty of hot water, fluffy white towels, and a gorgeous terrace with views over the countryside. As you walk into the room it smells divine with lots of lavender and dried flowers around the suite. It’s only a short walk into town with spectacular views along the way. The hosts were extremely friendly, and so interesting to talk to. They spoke English with us, smilingly tolerated my broken French (ha!), made suggestions for dinner and what to see in the town and around it, and even booked us a table for dinner at a beautiful bistro not far away. The breakfast was amazing - croissants, bread, cheese, homemade jams, yoghurt, fruit, juice, coffee/hot chocolate all served to you on your private terrace overlooking the gardens. I only have one very minor improvement suggestion - perhaps the inclusion of a face cloth/face washer in the bathroom? This is an incredibly beautiful place to stay and we were so impressed with Mas de la Baume and its peaceful, relaxing atmosphere.

Incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. Our stay really made us like we were spending holidays in a secondary home. And on top of it, Maubec is a little Lubéron on its own.

Mas Serena is outside the village of Ménerbes, so rating...
Mas Serena is outside the village of Ménerbes, so rating Ménerbes itself may not be as useful. Like many small hill town villages, parking is s challenge which creates anxiety. But a lovely village once inside it. Mas Serena is closest to Beaumettes, a tiny perhaps overlooked village with one very good restaurant in it, which was a delight to find. One of my personal favorite villages, Goult, is about five minutes away, so loved being able to head there a few times. Also, charmingly romantic Oppéde le Vieux is nearby, with a favorite terrace restaurant located there, Le Petite Café.
The location is perfect to explore Oppede, Menerbes, and surrounding areas. Close to lots of great restaurants, sightseeing, wine estates etc. The property and its setting is even more beautiful than in the pictures! Hosts were very helpful in recommendations and made you feel very welcome. The use of the outdoor kitchen was an extra touch that we didn’t expect. Really nice to relax and enjoy all your local treats you purchase! The swimming pool is heated and the setting is just magical.
We really enjoyed our stay in this cosy and lovely apartment. It is very well equipped, clean with comfy bed and a small balcony, and did not get too hot even in summer heat. It was easy to get into the apartment, we were in regular contact with the owner on whatsapp and did not need more than that. The apartment is just next to Ménerbes old town and is well located to discover Provence by car. We would definitely like to stay here again if we come back to the region.
The location is a haven of peace and tranquility, despite only being a few minutes from the beautiful village of Menerbes.
Stephane is a truly attentive and caring host, and this care and his attention to detail shines through every aspect of Le Cabanon. It is both comfortable and stylish, and has everything that one can think of to ensure a most enjoyable stay.
We have every hope to return when the opportunity arises, and to stay longer than one night.
Staying in this historic residence is a most unusual and marvellous experience. It gives an opportunity to experience a uniquely grand old mansion for an affordable price. Our accommodation was spacious and splendid, the views from our room and from the delightful courtyard terrace were exceptional. This is not a normal hotel or B& B experience and staff are not resident, so guests are largely alone in the building.
Incredible property located walking minutes to the beautiful hilltop town of Menerbes. Hosts were super helpful. Property spectacular with flowering gardens, fruit trees, two pools, terraces overlooking the breathtaking valley. Living areas large and comfortable with plenty of space for the four of us. Would highly highly recommend.
The property was spotlessly clean, quiet, and private, with a fantastic heated pool.
Incredible hosts, who were there when you needed them, but otherwise gave you privacy.
Fantastic views from the room, across the pool and olive garden and up to Menerbes.
The bedding and linen was exceptional, making for the best nights sleep.
beautiful boutique hotel, excellent value, huge bedrooms with stunning views. great pool and well furnished interiors. breakfast is very cute - each room gets a basket in the morning in the kitchen. A real sense and experience of the region. all the guests were cool younger (under 40) couples. we stayed in room “Eleanor”.
we stayed in the suite which was lovely and large. the pool was great and a welcome respite after a day of exploring Provence. our hosts secured us a reservation for a great restaurant the first night, but we used our kitchen and made simple dinners at home which was nice as we didn’t want to drive in the dark.
The location was perfect for my husband and I traveling through the Lubéron region on foot. We were met by exceptionally kind and compassionate caregivers with the best meal we’ve had in France! The garden and our room was a welcome retreat after our long day of hiking! Merci and bravo!! 💗
I made no mistake in picking this B&B lodging. Eve is simply the best . Spoke very well English and makes THE BEST homemade breads & jams . Everything is made fresh the morning of . I must say I am really happy I chose this place for our 2 night stay here in Provence . Highly recommended .
The apartment is well located under the old walled Menerbes which means it is easily accessed + you can park your car right in front. The apartment is very well equipped and maintained and Nadine is very responsive to any questions. Recommended!
Very well equipped. Lovely view and walk to Menerbes is very nice. Pool was kept very clean. Rooms had air con. Kitchen was fully equipped and neat. Beds comfy. Terraces and furniture sufficient. Outside lighting very good
Unique place, loved that it was not a hotel, but convivial, artistic. Felt like a home and we treated it as such. By far our favourite place. Please keep it that way!
