It was lovely to be able to get drinks and snacks late at night after coming off the ferry

Hotel is well located for the beach and car ferry. Hotel room was functional and clean (although see below). This Hotel seems principally used for its Spa Facilities by a predominantly French client base (judging by car registrations in the Hotel Car Park).
B&B HOTEL Ouistreham is set in Ouistreham, within 2.3 km of Riva-Bella Beach and 14 km of Botanical Garden of Caen.

Check in process after late arrival on a Sunday was a nightmare! Nobody available to help and a wait of 60 mins for people to use the check in machine! Needs to be easier.
Located in the heart of Ouistreham, a 5-minute drive from the ferry port, Hotel Le Cosy Riva Bella is an ideal place to relax after a day spent discovering the Côte Fleurie and the D-Day landing...

Clean comfortable friendly staff. Secure carpark. Ideal for early or late ferry.
Ideally located only 14 km north of Caen, La Villa Andry makes an excellent base for discovering the protected area of the Pointe du Siège and the Côte de Nacre.

Lovely, homely hotel; friendly staff and very well located. I was on a short military history trip and it was an ideal sanctuary. I know it will get busier in the summer, and deservedly so, including my fellow Brits, but just sitting in the mornings and evenings with a few French holidaymakers this week has been wonderful. Thank you.
Situated in Ouistreham and only 1.1 km from Riva-Bella Beach, Heima, appartement cocoon à 500m de la plage features accommodation with quiet street views, free WiFi and free private parking.

It is a lovely place to discover, beautiful walkways along the the marina, the historic center is pretty. The big problem is the presence of the africans,, all young men with Iphones and trendy clothing, certainly not refugees, lurking around everywhere, day and night, breaking into UK cars, if they are big enough to try to get to England. They are squatting around every corner, littering , urinating etc. Really it is a shame.

We were getting there to eat at "La moulerie" in front of the Casino (for sea food) and get to the "Criée" early in the morning to buy fish and sea food. We managed to get everything done properly.

I really wasn't there long enough to say anything about Ouistreham itself - I stopped briefly in Caen on the way and I certainly enjoyed the old half-timbered houses in the centre. The Castle will be a must see on my next visit, as will the beautiful old Norman/Romanesque churches and the nearby coastline, such as nearby-Dives-sur-Mer, where I stayed on a previous trip to Normandy and I can certainly recommend with its ancient church. Falaise Castle, said to be the castle of William the Conqueror, is the far side of Caen.

We have been here 20+ times as it is our twin town. The beach is lovely, the town is pleasant and we always have a good time. We stayed here in the hotel for one night after a trip further south and chose the Hotel du Phare because of its position. It is a typical, old style French hotel. The drains smell was off putting: the breakfast was good and the staff excellent.

Be prepared to walk a lot, so comfy shoes a must, I did find out on my last day that you can hire push bikes at the beach per hour, which is great because Ouistreham and it’s surrounding are quite big, the beaches are spotless and very impressive as is the history surrounding the area, I would say the area is very geared up for French tourism, so a basic grasp of French is a good idea, as most menus, and staff only speak French, having said that, there are plenty of English speaking people around in case your struggling !!

The resort was a surprise, because we expected just the port...
The resort was a surprise, because we expected just the port, but when we went for a wander around after driving up from Guidel Plages we found the enormous long sandy beach and all the amenities. It’s obviously hugely popular on warm days and stretches for miles. Many of the 2nd WW beaches are within easy reach. This might not be the prettiest place, but it has a lot more going for it than we had expected.
Clean and spacious rooms. Looks like recently been refreshed/updated. We had a family room with enough space for a few nights. Free parking available outside the hotel. Central location for restaurants and Normandy beaches. The ferry port it literally across the road. Very soundproof rooms as no noise from ferry port or outside. Breakfast was good, bread, croissants etc. enough available. We would definitely stay here again.
Hotel de la Plage was perfectly located for the start of our La Velo Francette Cycle Route. The Hotel has a lovely terrace frontage, where breakfast could be taken. The Hotel is just a few minutes walk from the beach, sea front and numerous restaurants. The hotel is quiet and in a quiet residential location. Our bedroom was compact and a little basic, but adequate for our stay. The Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
Location for the ferry port is excellent and yet is close to bars and restaurants.
The reception was extremely friendly and helpful (Julien) and although hotel reception is only manned for a couple of hours in the afternoon, Julien had made every effort to ensure that we knew how to access our room, with email and text instructions.
The rooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean.
No facilities that I could see. The room was very small, the bed super uncomfortable with two very small pillows which looked like they belong in a cot. The shower room was tiny and the toilet inadequate due to the number of attempts it took to flush the thing. Only thing this hotel has going for it is it's proximity to the ferry port.
It was very quiet and clean, we relaxed a lot in the pools and me and mg mother enjoyed the different treatments. I really loved the relaxing massage although it’s only 25 minutes. The hotel is located in front of a big beach which allows for long and nice walks. Breakfast was really good with lots of choice.
Arriving late from an afternoon ferry from the UK, it was good to find a very quiet place. Staff were helpful without being intrusive. Great location for getting on to my onward journey. Decent sized rooms, tea and coffee making facilities welcome and not always common in France. Super clean.
Friendly, family run hotel with a great location, within very easy reach of the beach, centre ville and the ferry port. Clean, comfortable and (English speaking) friendly staff. Perfect for an overnight stay before catching ferry or a great base to explore Ouistreham and its environs.
The room was beautiful and clean. There is a real family-business sense about the place and service was good and was very personalised. The hotel was full of charm and I would definitely recommend on balance. Very relaxed but attentive customer service.
Nothing. It was so horrendous that we stayed for about half an hour before deciding the situation was unsalvagable, and we left and got a room at a nearby hotel. This us a terrible accomodation for someone who's got to catch an early ferry.
Friendly and helpful staff. Good value breakfast. Nice, clean and modern room with hot drinks supplied. Good location for exploring Ouistreham or the wider region. Close to the ferry terminal and town centre with good restaurants nearby.
Easy to find when coming off the ferry in the evening. Reception was open and easy to deal with.
Breakfast had a great choice of cereal, toast, croissants, yoghurts, ham and cheese and ham. All staff were pleasant and welcoming.
The Staff of the Hotel were excellent!!! We would like to thank in particular the Woman who had family from Lancaster, PA, USA. She was very helpful and always facilitating our stay.
Close to the ferry port at Ouistreham (Caen)
Very clean and modern bedrooms
On-site free parking
Excellent breakfast
Very friendly and helpful staff - nothing too much trouble
So conveniently close to the ferry port and such a welcoming, clean hotel with good food and parking. Perfect for the traveller, especially one who travels alone.
