Great hotel just by the sea with big size rooms with enormous bed and spacy balcony with view on the Mediterranean sea. The staff was very friendly and the facilities were amazing. It was very nice to wake listening to the waves and sit on the balcony or on the terrace in the evening and watch the sunset. Great breakfast with fresh produces and a lot of choice.
Located in the heart of Porticcio seaside resort, Hotel de Porticcio is 50 metres from the beach, 20 minutes' drive from Ajaccio and 10 minutes' drive from Ajaccio - Napoléon Bonaparte Airport.

This is a simple basic hotel in a good position very close to one end of a long sandy beach that stretched round the bay to Ajaccio, close also to the ferry terminal to Ajaccio and a two-minute walk to a nice bar-restaurant 'Le Colisee' overlooking the beach and marina. We had chosen an 'economy room' in the hotel without realising it meant a shared toilet on the landing and a somewhat spartan room up in the eaves! However, the price included breakfast, typical French fare of bread and jam, croissant, juice and coffee - not from a machine but a little jug of filter coffee and a jug of hot milk - lovely! - served in the pleasant breakfast room.
Set on the beachfront in Porticcio, Hotel Le Maquis offers 5-star accommodation in a former Corsican family home with a gastronomic restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, indoor heated pool and a bar.

Porticcio is very touristy, it has a beach yes (but a very urban view), can get crowded. There are other beaches 10-15minutes drive from apartment that should be explored and have nice views.
We visited A Cupulata - turtle mini zoo which was a nice experience just 25 min drive.
The best supermarkets are outside Ajacio, like Carrefour, Eleclerc and Geant Casino, I found the small supermarkets near Porticcio more expensive.

Beautiful beaches, but quite expensive.
Beautiful beaches, but quite expensive. No buses to move around. Be careful with taxis. A ride airport hotel could be 45 eur-80 eur for less than 15 min ride. To move from one hotel to another one in the same area (2 km distance) the ride was 20 eur and ee waited for 1 hour to get the taxi. The driver told us taxis are not interested in short / cheap rides. Restaurants and hotels are expensive

It was a nice place to stay; not far away from the airport and it had all amenities (supermarket, petrol station with car wash, cloth shops, bars, disco, restaurants, a sandy beach and a beautiful sunset !!)
1. There is a swiming pool in the hotel and they lend you towels
2. You have access to Agosta beach in front of the hotel (5 min walking distance)
3. The view over the sea is beautiful (If you have a room on the other side though, the view is not interesting at all)
4. The matresses are confortable
5. The bathroom is big and pleasant (but the toilets are integrated and don't have a door and the shower system is difficult to understand at first)
6. There are outside parking spots available in the hotel
The flat is in a great location directly opposite the beach, a short walk to a supermarket, or a short drive to Porticcio. A great place to stay away from the traffic of Ajaccio. The flat is spotless and has everything you need. Livia is a fantastic host and was very kind and helpful. She offered me a late checkout - I didn't even have to ask - which was great. Thoroughly recommend!
The hotel far exceeded our expectations and was by far the best place to stay in the Porticcio area. It has its own secluded beach and parking ,which is so valuable and I believe it is underpriced for what it has to offer. The staff are exceptional and so invested in your stay being the best it could possibly be. Truly an exceptional experience. I hope to return one day.
Everything!
Close to airport. Amazing view to see even from bedroom.
Really large living room.Next to Agosta fun beach ( jet ski ,parasailing…)
Helpful stuff. New flat in the new house.
Best decision to stay in Corsica.
We advise to choose this apartment for everybody.
Big thank you Fred!
It is an amazing hotel, exclusive, excellent, and exceptional. Very comfortable and welcoming. It is all located in Porticcio, not far from Ajaccio but far enough to make it quiet and clean and amazing. The staff is amazing, the rooms have everything that you may need, even more.
Amazing hotel! quiet, absolutely beautiful view, right next to a fantastic beach, very friendly and helpful owners/staff, easy parking, check in and check out, super quick to ajaccio airport, great restaurants and adventure activities. recommend very highly
Super comfortable and well maintained rooms and pool area. Pool is heated, which is great for the kids. Apartments have everything you need. Beach near the hotel is excellent, as well as all the beaches in the area.
The hotel is located in a truly beautiful place, it is very enjoyable to be there. The staff were very professional, helpful and attentive. I really enjoyed the beach and the maginificent views.
It is an amazing hotel. It has everything that you world require during your Corsican vacation. The location is unbelievable. All rooms have a view and a large balcony. Enjoy!!!!
