The house is beautiful and super well equipped, situated in a quiet part of town really close to the forest. If you like a view that is only green and hills this is the place to be. We have stayed in Saverne several times as it is a convenient place to break the drive down to Southern France. It never disappoints, we have always been at Christmas time and the high street has wonderful decorations and Christmas lights. Very pretty, especially the rose garden.
Very pretty, especially the rose garden. The museum is ok - cool which was a bonus as we were there in the heatwave. Restaurants seem to keep opening hours secret so eating out was patchy. Would recommend the Lebanese which wasn't far from the apartment. The Stebuel close to us wasn't accessible being down stairs to the restaurant then treacherous stairs to the toilets. It's great watching boats go through the lock that takes the canal under the road beside the main square.

The Rohan Castle is right around the corner as well as bakeries, small concept stores, and restaurants. Check out the food - especially the eclairs at the neighbouring bakery and the tarte flambés found in most restaurants!VVincentGermany

I was happy to find this location, because it was really clean, all new and fresh (renovated 2 years ago it seems), very spacious, fully equipped, close to multiple supermarkets and the Saverne 'centre' and rather cheap! Communication was quick and the instructions where clear.
