Ballina is a friendly and very interesting town.

Ballina is a friendly and very interesting town. There are many places of interest with interest boards and murals explaining about people and places. The Jackie Clarke Collection is well worth a visit, and it is free. You can read about many people and events in the town and surrounding area then go visit them. It is clear the War of Independence and the Civil War had huge effects upon the town and surrounding area.

Plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants in this picturesque town on the river Moy. We can see why Jack Charlton loved the place. We enjoyed watching the anglers waste deep in the river fishing for salmon. We had dinner in the hotel on both evenings and the food was great.

A lovely town, with lots to see and do in the area, nice places to eat, close to many other nice places to visit, so a good base for the area. Get out and enjoy the music and arts, and its ambition to be the most climate friendly town.

Amanda was fantastic and she went out of her way to let us arrive early and everything was laid on that you could need within the apartment for a few days stay, all the little extras that were left made it a wonderful place to stay the apartment was very comfortable and situated in the centre of town, couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and would recommend it to anyone that was planning to visit Ballina for a few days or a few weeks and would definitely stay there again if I was visiting thank you for a lovely stay.

Location was great. I chose this over a different hotel due to the parking availability. It's right around the corner from the hotel. I was traveling alone so I didn't want to haul luggage for a while. Staff were friendly and helped me to bring up my bag. Room is clean. Bed is comfortable. Bathroom is great. Shower is hot. Bathroom mirror has its own lighting. Loved the coffee machine! Good quality hangers in the cupboard. I'm not a breakfast person so I didn't get around to try the breakfast downstairs.

Our hosts were wonderful. We had a long talk about our families, the economy, living and earning a living on a working dairy farm in County Mayo, raising children, immigration, how Ireland and Mayo are changing, agriculture policy and climate change, how EU climate policy affects farm management, and our shared family friendships. Seamus and Marcela are grand people, the food was very fine, their children took our teenager into the work of the farm, and we heard about local places most tourists would miss.

Location. Located only a short taxi ride from the train and bus stations it is quite easy to get to for those traveling without a car. Get taxi numbers from the hotel desk before you arrive. The staff was exceptional. Food was wonderful in both the Jack Fenn cafe and in the Library Restaurant. The castle/museum tour was so informative. I highly recommend making time for that. My room, with it’s lovely view made me feel like a lady of the manor.

This is a lovely B&B. Super friendly host. The bed was comfy and this place is spotlessly clean. We stayed as a stop off to break the drive into North Mayo and there is plenty of amenities nearby to spend an evening. It’s a short drive to the seaweed baths and lovely beach and swimming pier at Enniscrone. The breakfast was fantastic and set us up for the rest of the day. Breege even gave us some Scones to take away too! Highly recommend.

When we arrived at the B&B, she greeted us with chilled wine, candy and a ton of local information. her breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed talking to her about the area over coffee. the room was clean and the bed very comfortable. All in all it was a lovely visit

This was a very nice, small self-service hotel. The rooms were very clean and nicely laid out. Even with the two pubs in the adjacent courtyard it was quiet. We ended up parking in the public parking behind the hotel since we had a 9-passenger van. Communication was great before and after our stay. Great restaurants near the hotel for dinner and breakfast. The shower was the best we encountered on our trip.

Quiet and safe location within easy reach of the beautiful beaches of North Mayo and Sligo. Great garden for the dogs. Right at the edge of Belleek Woods so a a lovely pace for a walk in the evening. When restrictions are eased it would also be pleasant to walk to Jack Fenns restaurant in the evening as it is situated in the woods. Our hosts were very helpful and very informative.
