We came to Bunratty to attend the Medieval Banquet.

We came to Bunratty to attend the Medieval Banquet. This is well worth a visit. The food was great! I really enjoyed the Mead welcome drinks too! The staff who were serving our food were also the entertainment. The singing was absolutely fantastic! I sing in a Welsh choir, I was seriously impressed! They instrumentalists were also exceptional. The host was also very funny, so it was a great night! The castle is a fantastic attraction to visit and spend time with family and learn all about the medieval past. After the banquet we went into the village and visited the local pubs. What an exceptional warm welcome we received. Both pubs had musicians playing and singing! What a place to visit for a bit of authentic Irish entertainment.

Bunratty provided a close location to Shannon Airport necessary after an overnight flight. We dined at JP Clarks which is lovely and delicious. Dirty Nelly's was adorable, but we couldn't get service. Bunratty Folk Park is well worth a visit. The breakfast served at Bunratty Mews B & B was plentiful and delicious which we could enjoy and be on our way.

Bunratty Castle gives you access to all the rooms.

Bunratty Castle gives you access to all the rooms. If you have trouble walking on narrow steep surfaces you would not have access to most of the castle, however the rest of the park is very interesting and accessible.

This is a perfect way to start an Irish vacation. It is a short drive from the Shannon airport and the Bunratty Castle/folk museum is a great way to shake off jet lag. There is shopping and restaurants in town that are very good options.

Joe, the proprietor, was one of the best hosts we have ever encountered. He made us feel welcome immediately and introduced us to a wonderful Irish breakfast. He was very helpful and it was a pleasure to know him. The location is a very convenient walk to Bunratty Castle and only 11 minutes from Shannon Airport by car. We reserved a room the night we flew over so that we could check in as soon as we landed at 0600. It was worth every penny. Joe offered us breakfast as soon as we arrived.

It was the perfect place for the night as we were leaving from Shannon the next day to come home. We also booked our dinner at the medievel castle in Bunratty that evening and it was real close. Both Diedre and her husband were very accommodating. It was quiet and as we were wrapping up our stay in Ireland, we were pretty tired. We had no idea they had a full house of quests (with kids) until breakfast the next morning.

Very comfortable and spacious accommodation. Everything had been prepared with good taste - quality bed linen, furnishings, decoration. Catherine was very helpful, informative and pleasant. The location - surrounded by countryside but within easy reach of Shannon Airport and motorway - was ideal. I was so pleasantly surprised by this accommodation - so much more than a hotel room!

Bunratty Castle Mews is a very functional B&B. Easy, access, a nice, open driveway to park your vehicle on, and 10 minutes walk up to the village past the folk village to the castle and some adult beverages. I got up early for breakfast which was as extensive as you want to make it, with plenty of homemade baked goods, juices and all manner of Irish sausage, bacon, eggs etc.

The location to the Bunratty Castle was perfect to attend the late evening Dinner in the castle. The administrators at the front desk were wonderful and welcoming. The family room was extremely roomy for 4 adults. Bunratty Manor was a perfect place to rest and prepare for the next day’s journey.
