The Holiday Park is close to the town and many other interesting places. It is very quiet at night (early May). The fully self-contained 2 bedroom unit was spacious, warm and comfortable.

The lake frontage with stunning views of the mountains and lake and choices of eateries catering for vegetarians
Good parking but roadworks made it difficult at times to get around
Would recommend the Big Fig for vegetarians and Charlie Brown for great crepes

A wholesome town just outside of Queenstown.
A wholesome town just outside of Queenstown. I could've stayed here weeks. It was a great location to be based at for Roy's Peak Summit, more hiking and days spent by the lake. Bonus activity was a dinner and movie night at Cinema Paradiso. A really lovely town with a very live-able atmosphere.

Wanaka itself is a lovely spot.
Wanaka itself is a lovely spot. It was lovely without being too much of a tourist trap. The art gallery I visited was very good, and the two local restaurants also good and reasonably priced. The staff at the Thai restaurant were especially friendly and helpful. I wish I had stayed long enough to drive out to a few places from Wanaka.
Excellent location and facilities. The kitchen is well equipped and huge. I travelled alone, last minute 2 day trip trip during busy school holiday season. Not many vacancies in town, i decided to stay in private room with ensuite. Big room (#1) with view of Lake Wanaka- clean with large bathroom and separate entrance. Very comfortable. staff were very courteous and helping.
New world supermarket, lake and main Ardmore street is 2 mins walk. so convenient
This was a clean, spacious, well-equipped apartment in a set of villas - exactly the sort of thing you would expect from a typical holiday town. Everything we needed was there, including a small outdoor area where we could sit and enjoy wine and cheese. It's not easy walking distance to the main area in Wanaka, but it's not far (about 20 minutes).
Everything about this property is gorgeous from the location, setting and furnishings. It's a really lovely holiday for a family group and a nice change from the usual Wanaka hotel chains. And for nervous drivers, don't worry - it's a simple 20 min drive into beautiful Wanaka.
The rural setting was beautiful. Waking up to SILENCE was FABULOUS !! Unlike staying in a motel or hotel .... there was no-one else to make noise or interrupt your stay .... THAT, made it all wonderful. We would stay again and recommend it to family and friends.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The apartment had an incredible view of the lake and had everything we needed for our family holiday. The beds were so comfortable, the kitchen was amazing to cook in and the whole apartment felt luxurious..
Hands down the best place to stay at while in Wanaka. The view from the balcony is exceptional!! The property is in close proximity to many restaurants, super markets and the lake. The amenities provided were great and we had a wonderful stay!
Wanaka luxury apartment is in the quiet end of Wanaka and a 5 minute stroll through the park to the famous Wanaka lake and Wanaka tree. We were there in spring and the entire road is covered in cherry blossom trees in full bloom.
Absolutely fantastic apartment the most amazing views and very comfortable. We really enjoyed staying there and hope to be back. Very comfortable beds, close to town and great for a family holiday.
We were in room 412 upstairs with a lovely view of the lake. The staff on reception were very friendly and professional. The hotel is only a ten minute walk along the shore to the Wanaka tree.
The motels were comfortable and warm. The facilities in the studio were clean and adequate. The 2-bedroom apartment had a great laundry, 2 good bathrooms and good living space for a family.
Owners were very friendly. Room was clean. Location of the motel is quite close to the Wanaka tree. There is also a self-cleaning car wash facility with brush and hose provided.
