The location, close to the centre, with a view of the river. The setup, with the dorms around a courtyard, good for security and for meeting other travellers.

Excellent location with beautiful views. A 15 minute easy walk into town. A one minute walk down to cafes, restaurants and small shops by the wharf. Had everything for our weekend stay. Nice breakfast options. The spa was a bonus.
A lovely little town with surf hiring gear & clothing shops.
A lovely little town with surf hiring gear & clothing shops. There are nice boutiques & a couple of galleries selling locally made work.
There’s a good selection of restaurants & coffee shops plus two shops for groceries if you’re self catering.
The beaches are easy to reach & very spacious & well known for surfing 🏄🏻♀️
All the local people we met were friendly, interesting & kind.

I want to start by saying I got COVID there.
I want to start by saying I got COVID there. I’m sure I would have enjoyed it a lot more if I hadn’t. Had to stay extra time.
The place is lovely, the people are overall really polite, and some people are still against masks and will make completely unnecessary, unrequested, unwanted commentary about it.
Really good food. Really gorgeous beaches. Perfect place to just walk around and discover things.
Got on Raglan Sunset Cruise (the Wahinemoe) and it was awesome. Informative, gorgeous, and offered the option of Raglan Fish which I’m told has declined in quality, but seemed edible enough.
It was a good place to rest. Raglan Roast is delicious. The Stoned Cow has a really nice Banana Bread. Orca bar & restaurant gave me the best meal of my life.
I was pleased with it.

We stayed central and was able to enjoy all the great coffee (Raglan Roast, Indy) and food. Raglan Roads and Indy offered fantastic coffee and service. For food we visited the Raglan Bakery for breakfast and lunch and it is the best bakery I've come across on my travels in New Zealand - highly recommended with well priced food. WE also had lunch at Indy and the The Mexican Place. ULO's Kitchen was our go for dinner place -great food and atmosphere - we were there two nights in a roll.
There was yoga at the Space - very enjoyable.
We went kayaking with Raglan Kayak and Paddleboarding - that was the highlight of our trip. The weather was not great but they put as at ease and accommodated our request. We had winds and some rain which just added to the great adventure.

We only spent one Saturday morning in Raglan but we loved what we saw. We had a delicious breakfast at "The shack" a cafe recommended by staff at our motel. Everywhere eating establishment we saw looked inviting. After breakfast we ventured around the shops. There are lots of interesting art and craft shops to explore. Sadly we only saw glimpses of the beach as we were on a tight schedule. We are now planning a much longer stay.

Raglan is a lovely little town, the Sunset Motel is within walking distance of the town centre with a number of Cafes and restaurants. There is also a small supermarket next door with a good range of grocery items.
Unfortunately it was cold and wet when we there so we didn't get to experience any water activities.
Really recommend it as a holiday destination for a few days.
Incredible property, located in a quiet and relaxing area with incredible views from the decking. The owners are just below and very lovely, providing a list of tide times in the property so you can time when to drive your car across. Although it’s not an issue if the tide is high, you can leave your car at the bottom of Lorenzen Bay Road and walk across easily enough. We also walked along the coast to Raglan Fish at low tide which was great. Would absolutely recommend and would return. One of our favorite destinations to date!
We loved everything about our stay here. Lovely hosts Sue and Tony are very caring and really made sure we have everything we need to have the best times in Raglan. House is very well equiped and comfortable. We really enjoyed the garden view with birds around and nice area with comfy chairs on the terrase. :) Thank you so much for the lovely stay here and fresh bread, coffee and nice chats. :)
Hi Mark & Nora
Apologies for being a little late with the review.
Our stay at your retreat was excellent and the unit was so well designed.
The bed was super comfy, the place nice and warm and to me the most important was that the shower pressure was top notch as was the cleanliness.
If we come to Raglan again we will look no further than your place.

The hotel is in a good location, it is reasonably close to the centre of town, only a short walk to cafe's, restaurants and Pubs.
The room was very well presented, clean and tidy. We were in an upstairs room which was a bit of a challenge with luggage but not a deal breaker.
Raglan is a lovely town, we enjoyed our stay at the Sunset Motel and enjoyed looking around the area.
We had a lovely few days in Raglan, & were extremely with our accomodation. This beautiful house is new, clean & had everything we needed. Communication with the owner was excellent.
I would certainly recommend a stay at this lovely home, & we will certainly booking it, when next visiting Raglan.
This was a very comfortable studio apartment within walking distance of the town of Raglan. It was a perfect first stop on our roadtrip around the north island. It was extremely clean. There are blackout curtains. We slept well and recommend Long Street Studio.
It was a great location next to Rock-It Kitchen which was amazing.
close to where all the kids were at Sound Splash.
Close to the beach and Raglan town
A bit noisy at night with the Soundsplash traffic.
but we loved our time there, thank you ...
The property was much more spacious than I expected. It was very clean and comfortable. A short walk into town. A little bit of noise from upstairs tenants but we were made aware of this when booking and it wasn't bothersome. A good stay.
A lovely spacious home in a nice quiet location, a short drive out of Raglan township. beautiful views a home away from home. Kids enjoyed trampoline and playhouse.
Property has all you need for a comfortable stay.
Raglan Backpackers is a really chilled place and all people are really nice. The size of the room was good and the hottub is the best :) I liked the kitchen also and the eating room with a library and a chimney.
Situated out of Raglan. The cottage had a great feel to it and had all that you needed for a relaxing time away. Views were amazing overlooking Raglan. Bed was really comfy. Kitchen was quite well equipped.
Beautiful rural setting, the host had great communication. The place was very cozy & comfortable & the shower was amazing. Only 8min from Raglan so very convenient. No TV but we loved that.
Location is fantastic, right next to the water and very close to restaurants, bars, cafes etc. The cottage is charming with plenty of space and a beautiful terrace with views of the water.
