We loved the location, which was in the hills above Whangamata, but only a 20 minute walk to the town through beautiful countryside, or 5 minutes by car. The views from our room were stunning. Our room had a balcony with table and chairs so you could sit out and watch the sun go down or watch the sea and small boats. The room was large, clean, warm and comfortable. It was equipped with everything we needed. The small town is beautiful with lots of water based activities, good restaurants and cafes. The beach and harbour are stunning and you can walk at low tide over to another small Island.
A great beach holiday spot which has not been spoiled. It is clean, feels safe and the people were friendly and welcoming to visitors.

The Blake Court Motel was extremely comfortable and offered value for money. It was a short walk into town and close to all that Whangamata has to offer. We really enjoyed the stay and would return in a heart beat.

The style and setting of the motel, courtyard and gardens is very tropical and lovely to roam around in. The setting for the spa is nice.

The bush, the quietness and rustic charm.
We loved the feel of the place, its warmth and decor. Such a pleasure to be somewhere that strives to be at one with nature.
Wonderful breakfast provisions and the homemade sourdough was lovely.

Loved the location, right beside the beach! Park is set up well, with great communal kitchen area. Eels can be fed under the bridge too. Shower pressure was incredible. Info board at entrance of park was helpful for tides and weather.

Whangamata is a small town but has everything you need, several good restaurants and cafes, shops and bars. The beach is beautiful, sandy, wide and safe. It is totally unspoiled. There is a small harbour, lots of fishing and boat rides. The surrounding countryside and views are magnificent. At low tide you can walk to one of the small islands.

Whangamata can give you what you want, whether its a quiet peaceful time or a bit of a night out. Lovely walks whether ir is a beach, forest or hill walk. Golf course, cycling tracks, or just a gentle stroll on the beautiful beach. Lots of cafes, places to eat, like European, Thai, Indian, Turkish Kebab or fish & chips as well as 3 clubs in town for a small fee can enjoy a drink as well as lovely food. Downside is places close early & not like the big towns/cities for food & drinks.

A brochure on how to work the dishwasher would help.
A brochure on how to work the dishwasher would help. We don't have one at home so didn't like to use it. Also had difficulty getting TV going. We rang and a lady came and helped with that and connecting to WiFi.

The town centre is small but pretty busy for the off season we had been there. However, not on Sundays, were almost everything is closed. The beaches are fantastic and also the mountainbike park nearby is really nice (note: you need a daypass for $20)

We always find Whanga a great place to stay in the off season. It has a lovely small town vibe when there are less people around. The beach is a great walk from the harbour to the estuary. You don't need to drive anywhere just walk.
Great location and fantastic amenities! Pool was clean, tennis equipment supplied, great spa and sauna too.
Short walk to both beach & town. Couldn’t go wrong really. Alot bigger than we anticipated. A plus there was a gym we could use, despite being a very short walk away, it was fully stocked and tied into the price which was awesome. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
It is all that you could want in a beach accommodation. We loved the deck and the sunlight that streamed into the unit. The place is just a bit scruffy around the edges, but really comfortable and ideally located. It is a super short walk to the beach. The owner was keenly helpful with information about Whagamata, the islands and SUP rentals.
Room was great and really more like a small studio so there was plenty of space! We unfortunately only stayed for a night but the spacious closet and kitchenette would make this a great place for a longer stay. Great location close to downtown area and beaches.
Hosts Lynda and Mark are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Stayed a number of nights and the rooms were warm, comfortable and well equipped for my needs. Good choice of TV satellite channels. Location is near Whangamata town centre and safe and private.
The apartment was spacious, clean & tidy.
There were plenty of kitchen items such as cutlery, crockery and a smart microwave and coffee machine.
The beds were comfortable too.
The apartment was close to the estuary, which was handy for walks.
We loved every minute of our stay here! The room was clean & super comfortable! We were even able to enjoy a lovely evening dip in the spa on site. Super close to the town center & beach. Our host Clare was super friendly and accommodating!
We like the room. It is spacious, the spa bath is excellent, the kitchen utilities are good, amenities are good. Heater and AC are provided. Our overall experience was excellent.
the owners who run the show are absolutely fantastic and very welcoming! the spa pool is hidden away and very intimate too which is nice that it’s not in a big open area!
Location was great right in town. The pool was huge and deep, which we all loved. There was a nice tennis court and a nice spacious safe area for kids to run around.
