Jacobs Creek Retreat - Barossa Valley, hotel in Lyndoch

Situated in the heart of the famous Barossa Valley, Jacobs Creek Retreat is an exclusive property offering boutique vineyard accommodation and organic wines.

Beautiful buildings and surrounding gardens. Rooms were beautifully decorated and I keeping with the aesthetic of the buildings. Nice location - but down a long dirt road. So would not be ideal for little hire car.

Lovely place to stay and explore the area.

Lovely place to stay and explore the area. We were there specifically to visit Maggie Beer Farm shop, it was a birthday gift to me. An amazingly beautiful serene place to visit. Went to the local pub for a meal, excellent food and very large serves.

Lyndoch is a great little town with lots to see and do.

Lyndoch is a great little town with lots to see and do. A trip to the tourist information centre is a must before you begin. The staff at the place I was staying, were most helpful and informative. They were able to assist in providing information about special deals at places to see while I was visiting. Two for one lunch meals, drink specials, days tours of wineries and the list goes on. Helped me to save so I could do and see more. Lyndoch is a great place and I highly recommend to stay when touring the Barossa of South Australia.

The hotel was clean and while it wasn’t luxurious, it had everything one needs for overnight stays. We only had to walk a dozen steps to get into the dining room/bar. Nice and quiet and good value for money

This property is almost impossible to be found when you arrive late at night in the pitch dark. The signs are dark and are unable to be seen from the road. The accommodation was unclean and looked nothing like the advertised pictures. We would not suggest this property to anyone.

We liked that we could have meals onsite. It is quite and close to all of the Barrosa. The pool was lovely but not suitable for older people who have leg problems. It was very hard to climb out. Overall very nice it was my second visit.

The Merlot House is a modern country home with all the facilities you would expect in a functioning home, Nearby is an excellent restaurant. Great food and great staff. Very enjoyable stay amongst the woodland birds and vineyards. Lyndoch, a small country town in South Australia's Barossa Valley is just a 3 minute drive away. The Barossa is the home of wines of worldwide acclaim. Overall, an excellent stay and I will be staying again at the wonderful prices.

The house was amazing, huge and really beautiful. Each of the bedrooms was private with own ensuite, very comfortable beds, warm quilts. The location was gorgeous, very quiet except for the frogs in the pond which was lovely. A couple of the bedrooms incorporated their own lounge area. Excellent communication from the owner. We particularly liked the library and assortment of interesting books. Very close to Lyndoch township and the Green (5minutes)

This was such a lovely place to stay at in the Barossa. We stayed in the Vines cottage which was amazing. The charm of the cottage, the location, the views - everything was perfect! It’s a few minute’s walk from a few local wineries and is also a short drive to other attractions in and around Lyndoch/the Barossa. The owners of the property were so accomodating and made us feel at home. I can’t wait to come back and stay again!

very nice and comfortable cottage in Lyndoch. The decoration is so detailed and cozy that you don't want to leave the place! the kitchen is super well equipped, the bed very comfortable, the fireplace just adds even more coziness to the place, and the mega bonus is the jacuzzi, just awesome to wind down at home. There is plenty of space outdoors to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine in the sun.

The cottage is set in a scenery like no other, surrounded by vineyards with a great view of the distant hills. What goes unmentioned is the astonishing night sky due to the little to no light pollution in the area. Everything included in the breakfast was also to mention, great range with even better flavours. Great place for a little getaway.

1837 is the perfect place to stay in the Barossa. The accommodation was much larger than we expected, with a huge living area, outdoor deck with amazing views, and a wonderful spa. The bed is very comfortable. Nelly was so welcoming and helpful during our stay, and Shali in the restaurant was a delight. Would 100% recommend.

We stayed in the Willows with friends. The surroundings, gardens and views of the wonderful Barossa as well as the close proximity to the town of Lyndoch, made walking or accessing the riding trails very easy. The breakfast provisions were plentiful and delicious. A very comfortable and well maintained place to stay.
