Bit noisy from the pub but not that late into the night. Was woke in the morning by more noise but around 7am.

The system of getting your own breakfast from 2 pm to 8 pm the day before is a wonderful idea coz that way,we could sleep in and still have what we had taken , cereals, milk , to eat for breakfast. Alex at the reception was also helpful .

Decor, quality furnishing, kitchen, quality beds & bedding.
We liked the size of the property, gardens, and outdoor areas.
Located close to Mittagong centre, shops, and restaurants. However, on a very quiet street. Good heating options, good showers and fast hot water system. Well stocked kitchen cupboards.

We just stayed the one night, as a stopover on our way to Sydney. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The shower, however, was a different story. I could have stayed in that shower all day. The showerhead was big and provided a big spray, and the water pressure was very strong. Loved the shower.
We found it difficult to get a home delivery of food.

Mittagong is a pretty town with lots of shops but most of the town seems to close early.
Bowral is only 5KMS so this is worth a visit to amble through the shops and to stop for coffee nd cake or even a meal.

Mittagong is a lovely little town.
Mittagong is a lovely little town. Interesting shops and cafes, including a very well set out Vinnies with quality stock and very friendly staff.
Pharmacy staff were also extremely knowledgable and helpful. Everyone we spoke to was very friendly.
It is a pretty town and has some interesting old buildings. I wish we had had more time to explore the area. Very pretty in autumn colours

A green oasis, we use Mittagong when driving Sydney to Melbourne for the first night - just to break that painful drive escaping Sydney havoc on the roads so we can then just dive down to Melbourne easily the next morning. In reverse, when driving TO Sydney from Melbourne, we drive all day ex Melb, and stop the evening in Mittagong so we can get into Sydney early in the morning.
This suits us.

Loved the time there and will go back for more.
Loved the time there and will go back for more. Not enough time to see all I wanted to. Only managed a couple of walks, some shopping and some lookouts but everything was great. Dined at the RSL Mittagong Ironstone restaurant and everything was fabulous there. Lunched in a cafe in Bowral. It was nice food but overpriced for a small bowl of soup and bread.

Mittagong isn’t as trendy as Bowral, nor as expensive.
Mittagong isn’t as trendy as Bowral, nor as expensive. Information Bureau is very good. Has Woolworths and Aldi, Maccas and a few cafes in and around the town. Mainly suburban area, but a good lake with parking and picnic facilities off the Main Street. Good train service to Campbelltown then to Sydney.
Has excellent accommodation, not as pricey as neighbouring Bowral.
Mittagong would be a good base to have if you want to tour around the rest of the Southern Highlands

The train station is only several minutes walk to the Highlands Hotel and several others, plus, if you liie Filtered water, there is a dispenser in the Anglican church greounds (opp the Hotel) and also at the Information Center.
I realize this must be very pretty in the Fall (Autumn) with the colors of the trees and the leaves at this elevation, Springtime was very beautiful with all the bulb type plants etc. Definetly a nice little town plus others nearby you can drive to. And the waterfalls like Fitzroy etc. Oh, and Lake Victoria, just 7' walk freom Highlands Hotel (strait down from Station Street/train station.
Great location. A short walk to Mittagong town. Immaculately clean. Comfortable bed. Loved the gas fireplace and reading next to it after a long day. The original decor makes this cute cottage an adorable place to stay when one needs an escape from the hustle and bustle. Rod and Kath were wonderful hosts and left treats and a handwritten note, which was welcoming and a lovely touch. Highly recommend!
Lovely location and the history of the place was a great feature. It was hard to initially find our room but it was comfortable. As an old guest house, it was a fun place to stay, with lots of parking and lovely gardens. If one is looking for a modern and plush hotel, this is not the place but we enjoyed the old style of the house and found the room extremely comfortable.
We have a van and enclosed trailer which is 14 metres long and the Springs has a large carpark so we have no trouble parking. The rooms are spacious. The ladies at reception are so friendly and helpful, they are a credit to the accommodation.
Having the RSL bistro just across from the accommodation is great for all meals.
Our room was great. Very comfortable with an interesting green view with lots of birds. Breakfast was both tasty and generous. Shane really looked after us well. The B&B has plenty of nice outdoor spaces to relax in and is conveniently located for Mittagong, Bowral and other Southern Highlands attractions
It meet our expectations. The room was clean, beds were comfortable, we booked a family room. It had a kitchenette with kettle, toaster, microwave, plates and cutlery which allowed us to make breakfast. Decor is what you expect, it not a four star hotel, would stay again if we need a one night stay.
The bed was comfortable, there was a microwave and crockery - other reviews mentioned that there was no microwave. The room was a decent size and was quite clean. The shower had good pressure and a lot of hot water. It was in a good location from town. Staff were friendly.
The family room was very clean, nicely appointed and very quiet. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The location is excellent for a stay in Mittagong. The family room was very good for our family of four. The room rate was very good value.
The location is excellent, right in the heart of Mittagong and a short 5 minute drive to Bowral. The room was a good size and well equipped and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. Wifi was very good.
The family room we upgraded to was so spacious and well equipped. The room was very clean and was serviced to a high standard every day we were there. We would certainly stay in the same room again the next time we are in Mittagong.
The location suited us well - just out of Mittagong, with a pleasant view over countryside, rather than a motel in town. The room was pleasant, spacious enough and the bed was comfortable. The cost was reasonable.
Friendly staff and affordable accommodation with breakfast included is a bonus for an early get away.
Stayed many times now and have recommended Mittagong Motel to others.
very easy to find, nice high ceilings made the room seem bigger and despite it being a Saturday night in a hotel room above the bar, there was not much noise.
