Tyalgum is a lovely spot for a weekend getaway in the country. The food and atmosphere at Flutterbies Cottage Cafe was excellent. There is a great yoga class in the Community Hall on Saturday morning so this was a nice way to start the weekend. There was also a great masseur next to the General Store. It was easy to explore on foot.

Much nicer and well kept town buildings, shops & cafes, streetscape and heritage than we expected. Even housing, except one, was neat and looked after. Poor road access to Tyalgum. Tweed Shire need to get on with fixing it!

Good location and good room. Noise was a big issue. Our family room adjoined the common area where there was a loud group drinking until after 11pm on the Friday night. The room was also above the bar, which was playing loud music until after 10pm on the Saturday night.

I loved Tylagum - felt immediately at home with the people I met. Celestial Dew is gorgeous - a beautiful old house with lots of wood, historical features but everything works perfectly - taps, switches etc. The sauna and outdoor spa are fantastic. Cafe next door has excellent food. Not open for dinner though. We had dinner at the pub down the road one night - very nice and good service. This is a lovely town with connected, creative people. If you're looking for a swanky place with everything at your fingertips this is not it. If you are seeking to explore a unique little town full of lovely people and want to reconnect with yourself and nature, this is it.

Loved the village atmosphere, the laneway and market like area with shops ( displaced after a fire), but great community feel. Good location to do day trips to other locations such as Cabarita Beach, Murwullumbah and Mt Warning.

Fantastic location - Tyalgum is a small but vibrant town, and Celestial View is right on the high street. This is the perfect place to stay for a visit to the town. Although it is central, it feels quiet and private thanks to a clever design and being set back from the road. The house is beautifully built and well fit out. The little kitchenette had enough for us to make a small breakfast, prepare a cheese platter, make an evening cocktail, and of course afternoon tea. Highly recommended for a special weekend away.

I know the hotel so know how to effectively communicate with the staff (who are brilliant) and what to expect. It was record high humidity and high summer tempetratures so quite uncomfortable in most rooms but on request I was relocated to one with a better facing window and given an extra fan. Not a place to stay without aircon in hot tempreatures although I know the hotel is looking at intsallation.

To be staying in an original hotel was like taking a step back in time. Recent renovations have brought the accomodation up to a very pleasing level and having tea/coffee making facilities, books to read and even cards to play really made it a comfortable and relaxing stay. Meal choices were excellent, so to was the $ value.

Can't tell you how awesome this venue is, because I want a room available for my next visit. Can I say that the highlight is actually the people of Tyalgum. Not only the staff at the pub, but the locals. I will be back. It is actually an experience staying at this awesome pub. ❣️🥳😍
