Los Mochis is our jumping off point for the Copper Canyon train. It was a nice town. The botanical garden was the highlight of this city. There are lot of children activities in the botanical garden. Of course our room was fantastic, clean and spacious and the free breakfast was fresh and delicious, as are all Balderrama hotels, but Iliana really put it over the top. I never felt like a guest but rather part of the family, I even got invited to join the Alvarez family for Christmas Eve dinner by Cielo and it was an amazing evening! Overall an amazing stay!

There is a cafe/restaurant beside the hotel so you don't have to venture far for a meal. Room is no thrills, functional. Taxi from hotel to the train station, I was charged 180 pesos.
