Location is superb, we loved the historical features, both building as well as the interior design - we were very happy however, that they didn't stretch the 'authenticity', 'history' to the rooms...the room was very wel renovated, modern comforts, with excellent bed, spacious walk-in shower; cleanliness was of a very high standard; also, as we wanted to enjoy the short period of sun that started shining when we arrived, it was no problem that we wanted our drinks on our little balcony, it was brought promptly to us. Dinner was excellent quality, tasteful, not too salty (!) and presented on beautiful (older?) plates, enhancing the already lovely ambiance. Breakfast buffet, next to being in a beautiful historic room, was very good: well balanced between sweet and savory choices of breakfast items, fresh fruits (no canned fruit), and freshly prepared warm breakfast, our choice was scrambled egg & bacon. Delightful hosts, naturally friendly. We were actually sorry we only had 1 night here, and certainly will come back!

Beilstein is truly a pearl on the river, it exceeded my expectations and the villa has the perfect location with amazing view over the river. Our room was very spacious with big bathroom and very nice bed. The owners are very friendly and helpful with anything you need, there's also an elevator so you don't need to worry carrying your luggage up the stairs. The breakfast is also very nice, served with taste and care.

Especially if you have only 1 night, like we had, it is not only a lovely location with top view(s) of the river Meuse (Mosel), but as it is a very small town, you can get a very good impression just spending a morning walking around.
Weather was too cold (especially since it is supposed to be Spring..), so we skipped the stair climbing walking path to the castle this time. Instead, had a lovely coffee with waffles at a small place which had the largest collection of (old) coffee grinders I have ever seen.
Saw quite some places for having a wine or dine in Beilstein, outside our own hotel. But we were very content to experience the hotel and all it had to offer.

Beautiful small village on the Mosel with an historic castle and history. All of the places to eat I would personally rate as excellent and fantastic wine and beer is on sale everywhere. An ideal central location for sightseeing throughout the area and my family are looking forward to returning soon.

You can get through the town of Beilstein in about 20 minutes! Very picturesque and full of little places to drink wine and have a nice meal. Old castle ruins sits atop a hill above the town and a free ticket to this was included in our accommodation. Definitely recommend staying in this town for a weekend to tour the Mosel valley. Just beautiful.

Hidden gem tucked away nicely between the much busier towns...
Hidden gem tucked away nicely between the much busier towns of Zell and Cochem. The castle seems to be the main attraction at first but there are great nature escapes via the Mosel or the nearby vineyards if you really want your peace and quiet. The restaurants fill up pretty quickly in the evenings, especially the ones with coveted terrace views of the river. The weather was particularly cooperative for early August in Germany so that was also a plus. The Carmelite Church of St. Josef overlooks the town and is extremely tranquil inside. It also boasts a cafe with super views of the Mosel and is open daily. We stayed in Beilstein during the week so the town was enjoyably quiet.

Beilstein is a little gem, set in one of the many...
Beilstein is a little gem, set in one of the many spectacularly beautiful parts of the River Mosel. An old town with many excellent, friendly restaurants. Lots of opportunities for walking, hiking, cycling and sightseeing by river, road or train.
I was truly touched by the genuine warmth and hospitality of the proprietors. I could tell they take great pleasure in extending hospitality to their guests, that it is a joy for them and not a chore. I could tell they take pride in their hotel and in what they do. I also appreciated the safe storage of my bicycle in their locked garage. Also, in general, it’s worth it to spend the night in Beilstein to be able to enjoy it in the evening after the daytrippers leave and again in the morning before they arrive.
Solid, clean and well-furbished house, with good outdoor space and balconies, also providing enclosed space for the dog. We were six adults and it still felt like we had plenty of space.
Easy walking distance to the heart of picturesque Beilstein, and access to the Mosel Valley, but tucked behind the castle, away from the river, town centre and tourist bustle.
Good support from our hostess, and her bread delivery service was appreciated.
Vast apartment, well situated in Beilstein. Great breakfast in the hotel. Very clean and quiet (inspite of more than 300 bikers in the small village!). There is a terrace on the other side of the Schlossgasse you may use any time. Castle Metternich is only a 10 minute walk away with a great view from the top of the tower on the river and the village, nice café with small restauration. The ferry service across the river is very efficient
The host, Sabine, was very accommodating and friendly. The hotel was situated right by the Mosel in Beilstein. We had breakfast every morning on the terasse with views of the Mosel. Breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed the wine tasting at the family's wine cellar. The wine was very good. There is also free parking. We will definitely be staying here again when we return to Germany.
The hotel and its facilities (and host) were absolutely fantastic; location was perfect, breakfast was delicious and eggs were freshly made upon arriving in the morning. We spent a late afternoon in the Spa, which was great; it is very clean and has a large relax area with a view of the streets below and of the mountain. It has been a VERY comfortable stay at this hotel.
The location is perfect, away from everything, but close enough to town if you're looking for something different...Frau Lippmann and her staff are excellent hosts, with a great restaurant serving up delicious breakfasts every morning!
Our suite #105 has excellent views of the Mosel...We are loving our stay here, and could not be happier with our choice!
Gem of a hotel right on the river in this picturesque village.
Rooms are spacious with lovely views of the village, mountains and river.
Breakfast was tasty and well presented.
Staff were friendly, welcoming and extremely accommodating. We had a few requests and they managed to help us with all of them. Thank you for making our stay so exceptional!
Nice location, big comfortable room, delicious breakfast and food in restaurant, good wine. The staff was helpful with any question we had and paid attention to us and other guests. A bus stop is about 2 min. from the hotel, with regular buses to the surrounding villages. This is an excellent way of moving from one place to the other.
Beautiful location with nice staff members. We had a room facing the river so we had a great view. There are nearby enough free parking places and the town itself is also very beautiful. The restaurant that belongs to the hotel also provide good food!
Wonderful family owned and managed hotel. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. Rooms were clean, updated and very comfortable. Good location to explore all of Beilstein and surrounding areas of the Mosel River Valley.
Breakfast was good. Not overdone, but just what you need in the morning. Staff is excellent. Location is superb.
The restaurant is very good. Quality good, selection good and prices good. We kept going back to the hotel for our meals.
A wonderful hotel sitting under the ancient castle. In a quiet spot away from the bustle of the small town. Spotless and lovely bed. Fabulous friendly family and their staff nothing too much for them to help you enjoy your stay.
Big newly renovated apartment with a balcony overlooking Beilstein. Really good breakfast. Host was very kind, she did not speak English but she had a English speaking friend help translate during check-in.
The hotel is really nice and clean. The staff helped out very friendly. The hotel is in the middle of Beilstein which is a typical small old German town. Good atmosphere all over.
