Hameln used to be a lot nicer many years ago, I was based here from 1996 until 2010. Now there are many new apartments where historic buildings used to be and the suburbs have become shabby. It has lost its charm.

Nice small town with an agreeable city center (Alt Stadt) featuring the typical classic German building styles. Many cosy restaurants and shops are available. Parking is easy by underground garages (tief garage) although not well maintained but yet for very reasonable prices. A visit of one or two days should be enough.

The town is a beautiful old town that was full of interesting facts, sites and very clean.
There was a great music festival on which created a nice party atmosphere.
Absolutely lots of eating and drinking locations.

On a wet Monday night arrival it seemed a little dismal, bars closed until 17.00 and a limited number of restaurant available - but with the feel of Christmas on Tuesday it really opened up. Very beautiful and love the way a shopping mall exists in the old town without being loud and revealing itself.
Of course the stories are what Hameln is all about, and loved he fact that the Pied Piper's lasting gift to the town was more than today's tourism. The Allied troops knowing of the 'ratcatcher' story, left the town untouched and enabled it to be so cute today.

A must when in Hameln is a stroll through the Old Town with its historic old buildings if you are into architecture.
A stroll by the Weser River is a must.
There are many cafes or inns where you can pop in to have a coffee, wine or a pint of beer.

Hameln was a real discovery as we did not expect the city to be so amazingly charming. What we really appreciated: lots of beautiful houses with intricate designs and pedestrian streets to appreciate them fully. People are very kind and eager to help. Unfortunately, most of the information provided for tourists is only provided in German.
The location suited me as it was close to both the centre of Hameln and to the people I came to see. The room I had was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. There is plenty of room for luggage and an excellent wet room with a modern shower. Breakfast was impressive with a vast selection of German fare, too extensive to itemise here. For the traveller that literally just wants bed and breakfast, this is an excellent choice.
The staff is extremelly kind and helpfull they made the experience oustanding with their service. The hotel rooms and restaurante are very cute i would just suggest a renovation on the corridor with stairs to the rooms, but is a minor detail. The food in the restaurant is seriously good and the breakfast excelent! All fresh and real scrambled eggs. The location is great, walking distance to town and the area is lovely
We rented the 3 room appartment for 1 night for our family of 5. This was very spacious with good mattresses, more than enough towels, 2 TV,'s And even a baby cot. Bathroom could use a little face-lift. Though it is functional it is a little worn down and iin contrast with the beautiful design of the restaurant and toilets down below in the hotel. All accounted, good value for money.
The hotel is very nice, located in the city centre of one of the most beautiful German old towns, Hameln,. Parking is available. The hosts are very helpful and friendly, rooms are nice, and breakfast is very impressive, one of the best we have had in Germany. You feel at home and wish you could stay more days. Highly Recommended, we look forward to come back
Plenty of room to move about, clean and bright. Both flats laid out well with comfortable furniture. Generally well equipment. Great location, walking distance from town. Perfect to have the two flats so we had more room to spend time together in the downstairs flat, rather than in a hotel where we could only be together in public rooms.
Super friendly staff! i arrived late at night, and they were waiting for me, even if they didn't need to... The room was pretty, with all the conforts needed. and breackfast was superb! and location, just round the corner from everywhere worst visiting in Hameln!
quiet road. sheltered balcony. comfortable bed. 15 mins slow walk into heart of Hameln. modern kitchen, large fridge freezer. good car parking place around back/off road. free strong Wi-Fi’s
no negative comments. would stay again.
The hotel is beautifully located in a forest on top of a hill. Excellent view, very quiet. The room was clean with a modern bathroom and had its own terrace with a view. Petfriendly. Elevator. Free drinks
Probably the most wonderful place I've ever stayed at. Huge and beautiful, perfect location and with lovely views also. Will definitely book again if I return to Hameln, I wish I would've stayed longer!
The rooms were so well decorated and comfortable. Love the Pied Piper theme throughout the entire hotel. The breakfast was amazing and the staff was wonderful! Don’t hesitate to book a stay!!!
The hotel is located minutes from the heart of Old Town. The buffet breakfast is expansive and features a number of unique dishes. There is secure bicycle storage for cyclists.
Location exeptiional. Close to all altstadt points. Very clean and comfortable. Recommended for 4 people's. All café and restorants are in few minutes walking.
