Only truly interesting thing about the town of Triberg are the waterfalls. Other than that, the place has been spoiled by the overly touristy, quasi-Disneyland feel. The are much prettier and more interesting villages to visit in the Black Forest than this. On the other hand, it’s a good base if what you want to do is go hiking. Natural surroundings are great.

So many cool things to do and see in Triberg.
So many cool things to do and see in Triberg. We walked up to the main waterfall, strolled the main street, and bought a nice cookoo clock, designed and hand carved in shop. At night we parked on a back road under the stars and enjoyed no light pollution, taking in the amazing night sky view! Definitely recommend a visit to this Schwarzwald town!

The waterfall is worth the climb, and great that it's included in the guest card issued by the hotel. We also visited the Black Forest museum, which was interesting, although unfortunately our German wasn't good enough to read much of the information with the exhibits. The scenery is lovely.

The Black Forest is beautiful and Triberg is a charming town, if maybe a little tourist-kitschy. There are not a lot of really good dining options -- Cafe Tresor is the only standout -- but there is a really nice grocery store, Edeka, right in the middle of town. The much-hyped waterfall is worth the short but steep hike. It's a good location to explore other towns and attractions.
The location is perfect. The hotel is located just 10-minute walking to the waterfall. There are restaurants and a big supermarket nearby. The room is spacious, clean and quiet. The staff were very friendly. There were not many choices for breakfast but it is good quality. The reserved parking place is very nearby and we paid only 6 euro per day. We got a family pass from the hotel and we used it to visit the waterfall and the Black Forest Museum as well as to take a bus for free. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much.
The Host is super nice, helpful and responsive. He was very welcoming. With two bedrooms with super comfy double beds; one living room with big sofa, dining and TV; and a decently equipped kitchen with coffee machine, toaster, water boiler, oven and utensils - the apartment is really spacious and with the basic necessities in place. The location is also very good, only 5 mins walk from key attractions: Waterfall, Triberg Fantasy, Black Forest Museum, The House of 1000 Clocks.
We made a great choice to stay here in H-Apartment in Triberg. The location of this apartment is superb - just few minutes walk from the MarketPlatz; as well as the Triberg falls.
The host Mr. Jagdev guided us right from the beginning - from arriving smoothly at the apartment, to local siteseeing & restaurant options. Triberg itself is a beautiful town within the Black Forest area and choosing to stay in this apartment was a great choice for us.
The hotel had a friendly staff, plenty or parking for a daily fee, clean and remodeled rooms with tons of storage, and a beautiful view. The location was perfect for exploring Triberg and was only a 10-minute walk from the waterfall and other restaurants in town. The restaurant onsite had a nice a la carte breakfast each morning. I had a delicious salmon filet for dinner one evening. We really enjoyed our time in the hotel.
The property was amazing all amenities were provided, coffee, tea, fan, coffee machine. The apartment was immaculate and beautifully presented, the owners were amazing to deal with and were very quick to respond to all messages. Location to town centre was amazing I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Triberg, Germany.
Everything, it was centrally located to stores and the waterfall. The restaurant was delicious, breakfast too! The hotel had an antique appeal and you can tell they take pride in their jobs. My basic room had a huuuuge shower with dual rainfall heads, tons of space, a huge wardrobe, comfy bed, big windows that let in tons of light or block out the sun.
The apartment is situated in the center of the town, close to the waterfalls. It is very beautifull, cozy and comfortable furnitured. Good beds. The kitchen was fully equiped. There was enough space to store all our luggage.
The hosts were very friendly and gave information about where to go and what to do. We can heartily recommend this accomodation.
The location of this hotel was great - within walking distance of all the sights in Triberg, The host was friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast at the restaurant was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay at Zur Lille!
Just a note for future travelers to Triberg - many of the restaurants are closed on Tuesdays.
The apartment is located right on the main street of Triberg, which makes all the main attractions in a 5 min walking distance from it. The apartment itself was clean, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen had all the necessities. Overall, it is perfect for a short stay in Triberg from 4+ people.
Fantastic stay at Gasthaus Staude. Sebastian was a delightful and helpful with our Black Forest plans. Location was peaceful and easy to get to Triberg. Food was exceptional and likely the best we ate in Germany. Room was perfect for our family of four (kids 6&8). Would absolutely recommend.
Hotel is right at the Heart of Triberg !
In our opinion, Hotel offers good simple rooms with necessary amenities, great view from Balcony, very helpful staff at a perfect location for staying in Triberg.
Great location and really helpful staff. Very cheap by today’s standards. The patio at the front of the hotel is great for a drink, a meal or watching the world go by. Would definitely stay there again.
The location is towards the end of town and about a 5-minute walk to the main Waterfall entrance. The Town is very clean and we loved the atmosphere. The Hotel was beautiful and spacious
The location is perfect to access all of the attractions such as the Waterfall, Black Forest Museum, and the many shops on Haupstrasse. It's close to Schonach too and Schonwald.
Perfect location in the center of Triberg. The host explain us where to park our car for free and sold guest cards to visit the waterfalls and a museum with discount
