We had a wonderful stay. The hotel manager was excellent and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The hotel is situated in a prime location and our rooms had a spectacular view of the lake.

One of most beautiful village in the world. It is just 2 hours plus away from Salzburg. You can plan a day trip. You will get best scenery and it is like childhood fairy tale place. I must praise I have a good dining experience in Simple 169. The owner is so friendly and food is good. Preferable if you can spend one night with light luggage. So that you can take photo with less crowded moment and take an unforgettable 7000 year old salt mine tour plus skywalk visit.

Loved the amazing views around Hallstatt. The salt mine tour is definitely worth it. The views from above are just spectacular overlooking the mountains, town and the lake. Just strolling through the streets everything was so quaint and beautiful. A visit to the church and bone haus is a must its amazing to learn the history.

A beautiful enchanting fairy tale town.
A beautiful enchanting fairy tale town. Set on a lake framed by mountains.
It is very small easily done in a day or 2.
The food is delicious and reasonably priced
Salt mines worth doing 100% but give yourself a few hours as so much to see at the top!
Only down side shops and cafes open late … 10-10.30 am and close around 6.30-7 in the winter we got caught out with nowhere to eat or nothing to do in the evenings

A perfect place to visit with family.
A perfect place to visit with family.
Beautiful lake, landscapes views, snowy mountains and salt mine tour.
Hallstatt is really small and can be walked around comfortably.
Connectivity with Salzburg is easy by bug #150, 542 and 543 in around 2.5 hours.
Tip : Hallstatt old town is costly, relatively cheaper accommodation can be availed in nearby places like Obertraun.

Hallstatt is completely overrun by daytime tourists who just want the quintessential photo of the town. I could have had the same mountain lake experience by staying in a nearby town (and then not having to leave my car in P1 parking then being shuttled to the town).

WAY too many tourists!
WAY too many tourists! Hard to walk around and also find a spot to eat! One night is plenty! Gorgeous town though and easy to get around. A lot of day trippers that once their buses left, the crowds cleared out tremendously.
This Hotel has been done very nicely, It is located at the banks of the Hallstatt Lake with its private bank. The view of the lake from each room is so beautiful. It was beyond our expectations - as it is difficult to visualize the property from the pictures in the website, The atmosphere is quite and in the evenings it provides peace of mind by just watching the lake from the balcony. Car can reach the hotel doors. There is a microwave oven and a OTG in the common area. Cofee machine is also avaliable for unlimited coffee
The hotel is in the center of Hallstatt, 100 meters from the ferry pier connecting to the railway station across the lake.
The room we stayed in, on the 2nd floor, had a balcony overlooking the lake with a table and two chairs. The room was cozy but somewhat cluttered, with too much furniture for the available space. The wi-fi connection worked without problems. The room was quiet, with no noise coming from the other rooms.
The breakfast was varied, and the service was friendly and attentive.
There's no better place to stay in Hallstatt other than Seehotel. We booked the room with lake view and a balcony that I could just live there. It felt like I was on a fairy tale.
Very comfortable bed (not too soft), the bathroom, amenities and bathtub were also great. The room also had mini bar, nespresso machine and tea bags.
The Breakfast has many and very good options. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food was good (but nothing especial).
This place was GORGEOUS. One of the most unique and beautiful properties we have ever been to. The breakfast brought to our room was so good and to enjoy it sitting on the lake was just incredible. The staff is extremely nice, letting us keep our bags there a bit past checkout. This is definitely where I would recommend to stay while in Hallstatt. Also, the bathroom and shower are so clean and quite fancy! Bed is soft and comfortable.
The hotel is located in the center of the Hallstatt old village, closed to the ship station, the church, restaurants. It’s an old house made of wood. Our room is cute, clean and well facilitated. There is a terrace by the lake inside the hotel where you could have a great breakfast with the fresh lake view. The ladies who work there are very nice. We had a really pleasant stay!
The hotel is at the very heart of Hallstatt, in a quiet street. Room was big, spacious and super clean with a balcony with a fantastic view of the town, lake and mountains. Breakfast was super. Although there is no parking onsite, since centre Hallstatt is car free, we had a reduced fee parking with shuttle bus at a nearby parking P1, which was very conventient.
We really enjoyed our stay at the secret hideaway in the historic center of Hallstatt. The boutique hotel convinced us with its minimalistic, rustic and 270 year old charm. The fact that lots of the furniture was up-cycled from original material of this old structure is very impressive and simply beautiful. Thank you for creating such an inspiring place.
The view from the room's balcony of the Hallstättersee was breathtaking! I very much enjoyed having breakfast from the terrace, with a view of the lake. The location is perfect, close to the historic marketplace and right next to the main church. The hotel even has a fully equipped sauna room. I also liked the breakfast buffet very much.
Everything is perfect at the hotel, that our second time to book and stay there , will always recommend it for anyone who wants to be in the center of hallstatt with a great view on the lake and the marktplatz with authentic vintage hotel rooms, the staff is really friendly , and the garden over looking the lake is the best in town
I think this would probably be the best hotel on the ‘island’ of Hallstatt. The view, the cleanliness of the room, the staff, the breakfast , I mean everything. I really loved my experience there. The only problem is that they don’t accept children. I would love to take my son there. Awesome.
we were on top floor with great views. staff very helpful. it took a bit long to take the shuttle from parking lot to the hotel. watched storm lights at night sitting at balcony. Hallstatt is a must. just wonderful. local park is the most beautiful park my kids ever went.
3 minutes walk to Salt Mine Funicular, 4 minutes walk to admire the beautiful Hallstatt UNESCO village. Parking lots nearby with special Hotel Ticket with better rates with extended stay. Great recommendations by hotel staff for the best Thai food in town.
This beautiful and cozy Austrian-style house was situated in the center of Hallstatt and had amazing views of the lake from all of the rooms. The house was big and spacious, and was the perfect spot for our family to spend the winter vacation!
This hotel has the best location in Hallstatt as it in the main square, on the water, and next to the church. The staff were friendly and the restaurant with its outdoor terrace provided exquisite views. Highly recommend.
Enjoyed the restaurant for dinner...staff very friendly and food/wine good...convenient to eat at the hotel. Rooms were charming and we all loved staying on the third floor for the view.
The location of the hotel is right in the middle of Hallstatt. It was easy to reach using the P1 and the shuttle - if you do not have a lot of luggage it is an easy walk.
The hotel I stayed at in Hallstatt left an unforgettable impression, offering a delectable breakfast, attentive service, and a breathtaking view from the window.
