Most people know Austria has a lot to offer in winter, but the same is true in summer. It is perfect for long hikes through the mountains, enjoying nature and visiting the many old castles. Imst is a relatively quiet town, but it offers enough restaurants and bars, especially if you include Hoch-Imst. Take the cable car to the mountains, take the coaster down or go by foot. And don't forget to visit the Rosengartenschlucht. Both very close to Imst.

Imst was well worth the visit.
Imst was well worth the visit. Between Rosengartenschlucht and the Alpine Coaster and the Friday free community concerts there are plenty of things to keep one active in the summer and the place looks built for the winter. The food and staff at Hirschen Hotel are fantastic!

Probably nicer and prettier towns and villages in the valley...
Probably nicer and prettier towns and villages in the valley to visit or base yourself, but if you need amenities then it is has good array of shops, hotels, restaurants and services. Seemed to be a lot of kids roaming the streets on foot and noisy mopeds.
what really exceeded my expectations was the possibility to have my expensive bike locked in the basement. The room is only opened be the staff and only for the guests who have their bike in there. A great alternative to leaving the bike in the car overnight.
The staff is very friendly and their dog "Anneliese" is one of the cutest beings on this planet.
The carpet in the hallways makes it a really quiet hotel, especially in the mornings and late evenings. Gotta love it.
We had an awesome stay in Imst with Desiree and Stefan! Everything was so well arranged and explained. Contact was quick and easy through WhatsApp and little gifts were awaiting us when we arrived (water, chocolates, cat food etc). It really felt at home and the bathtub and the bed were great.. we even asked her where she bought the covers and pillows so we can buy it here ourselves!!
The hotel takes place in an old building and it feels it was there forever. You can really feel the history of the place. Rooms are spacious. Even though the furniture is not new and modern it is very clean and doesn't look oldish. On the first floor it is a beer restaurant but we didn't hear any noise neither from there nor from the street.
the room was newly renovated and wonderful! it was more like a small apartment. the staff was extremely welcoming and nice and all spoke English! we loved staying here! the hotel restaurant had really great food!! the breakfast was just ok. it was a nice little place to stay. thank you!
This hotel has a great location in a wonderful small Austrian town along the Inn River. Our room faced a small stream that flows into the Inn River so we got to experience the magical sound of flowing water out of our bedroom throughout the night. The breakfast was also excellent.
Large unit with 2 rooms and balcony, lots of space to hang out and relax. Great view of the garden and mountains. Good restaurant. Friendly staff. Large parking. A couple of hiking routes directly from the hotel.
loved the feel of the hotel, absolutely fantastic dinner! fantastic family room on top floor with the loft bed. staff were superb and friendly, very accommodating. spa was great, coffee was pretty good.
The staff, especially Eran from the reception, were extremely friendly and helpful. They care a lot about their guests and make the stay special.
The surrounding of the hotel and the view is amazing!
