I loved the beach, it was clean, you have plenty sand space, I mean, this beach will never be crowded because the distance from where the sand starts until where the water is is very long. A small coastal resort outside Alkmaar. Good coast walks and Alkmaar provides the local City to visit and rail transfer facilities to north south and west. We rode the trains to Enkhuisen via Hoorn. Enough bars and restaurants but I guess it would be very busy in the summer months. The local people were great and keen to talk to us which was good.

Very compact restaurant shopping area with an excellent beach. Very busy during tourist season which might tread on the tranquility aspect that it offers offseason. Beautiful spot to leave the car in the driveway and be a local.

The room was quiet, spotlessly clean and well-maintained by the staff. The garage was accessible directly to the hotel so just press a button on the lift and you are there. The breakfast variety was very good with a choice of meats, cheeses, breads, fruit; in short, a well-stocked buffet breakfast. Location on the sea front was ideal. As we spend a fair amount of time in the evening in the room, a good room is important to us. Wifi was very good.

Train ride from Amsterdam for about 30-40 minutes followed by a bus ride from Alkmaar station for about 20-30 minutes. Bus stop is 1 minute walk from the hotel. Beachfront is about 5 minute walk. Food at restaurant is good. Facilities are great - there is a swimming pool (indoor) with sauna (additional charge). Breakfast was extensive as well. Staff were pleasant all the time. Check in and cheek out times are strict.

The yard is surrounded by high fences which gives you a sense of privacy and was perfect to let the dog roam. Good location, only a few minutes walk from the beach and the town center. The owners were so wonderful and the breakfast was super yummy. Echt Nederlands! Very beautifully decorated and spacious. We had a bright room on the first floor facing the main road and it was so wonderful. There was also a lovely kitchenette and a very large bathroom. Super clean!
