This is a studio apartment and the classy black decor was superb, and the overall size of the rooms were a great relief.
Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Hofje van Sint Jan provides accommodation with a garden and free WiFi.

Delightful location right in the center of Gouda. And such a charming house!
One thing to note: it's an old Dutch house, so access to the upper floors is by steep spiral stairs. This is not a complaint, just be aware that you'll have some climbing.
Boasting river views, Goudse Watertoren, ’t kleinste woontorentje van Nederland features accommodation with a balcony, around 21 km from Erasmus University.

The location was fabulous! We were right in the middle of the old town, right next to the town square. The Saturday market and restaurants were a stone's throw away.
The apartment looks newly renovated and was clean and neat. The tiny staircase leading to the 2 bedrooms and bathroom on the upper level was an interesting feature. The beds and pillow were nice and comfy.
It was very nice city. We especially liked cheese museum in city centre where you can get a cheese tasting with wine. Also they sell unique gouda cheese you cannot get elsewhere. On Thursdays there are (check for timeline) cheese festivals. Otherwise it is nice and quiet city with nice city hall and churches.

This town has beautiful architecture, churches, street art, and historical sights. There also many unique shops and wide variety of restaurants. Try sampling the various cheeses, you will probably buy more than you can carry.
There are many other sights of interest nearby, Gouda would make a nice base for the region.

We didn’t have much time to explore as we came for a friend’s birthday party but we had a couple of walks in the old town, really nice. We loved the architecture of the houses by the canals.
Cheese is to die for!

Gouda is a fascinating old dutch town.
Gouda is a fascinating old dutch town. We took our time going through the 30 stations of the self-guided historic tour and thoroughly enjoyed learning about this small yet once very important merchant/trade town. The annual Beach Festival was going on during our visit and we got to watch some beach volleyball games on the market square (on sand that was brought in).
Disappointingly, the Verzetsmuseum was closed (apparently being moved and re-conceptualized) but we could still soak up quite a lot of history--while tasting some great cheese, too!
We missed the weekly cheese market, though. If you want to experience that, be sure to visit on a Thursday.
the room was amazing, except when we went to shower, because the drain did not work so wel and the room was fulled with water. the rooms does have great beds and perfect room climate control enough power outlets and a good internet connection. the walk to the station is only about 5 minutes and there are a couple of places that you can go to to get something to eat. the mall is from the station only 2 stops away so you have a lot of places to go to.
Located within walking distance from the train station on the main canal.
The bed and bedding gave me the best sleep in 4 weeks of travelling. Very good shower. The owner is very pleasant. The tourist walking guide provided was perfect to see Gouda on foot. Private accommodation at the rear of the main house. The kitchen was very well equipped not that I used it. Coffee, tea and milk provided.
The hotel itself is lovely. It's in a historic building dating back to the 16th century, and has been lovingly refurnished and decorated without disturbing the charm of the building itself. The staff was outstanding. Friendly, cheerful and eager to assist. And, the hotel restaurant had recently received a Michelin star, which we took advantage of.
We arrived early and Linda met us to store our luggage so we could explore Gouda. She was very kind and gave us a pamphlet of attractions and a map. She helped us find our key which was actually just hanging on the wall, we didn’t see it. The house was very spacious and clean and in an excellent locations. Would highly recommend!
I love how it was decorated!! Its really cozy and it has everything needed to live there, even spices in the kitchen to cook, pots, etc, even a speaker in the living room to have a nice day with background music. It has everything to have a nice experience while being in Gouda. Nice room, comfy bed, nice bathroom, etc.
Everything was wonderful. Jos & Marleen are excellent hosts and the cottage is in a gorgeous setting and a great location in Gouda! It is fitted with everything you'll need and more, especially if you plan to cook for yourselves. Definitely look no further for a cozy and relaxing stay in historic Gouda!
Small beautiful historic hotel. The opposite of a sterile hotel experience. Location is right in the middle of town and everything was in walking distance. Staff was very friendly and even accommodated a early check-in. I would definitely stay here again and will be recommending it to friends.
This hotel is an absolute gem, with beautiful rooms, beautiful courtyard and fabulous staff. The breakfast was amazing, with a fab selection of menu options. The location couldn’t be more central, with the market square, shops, restaurants and bars all a short walk from the hotel.
Location was perfect in Gouda centre. Great access to train/bus station and all city centre activities and sites. Breakfast was excellent, great variety and high quality.
Family room was perfect for our needs.
The location was great, very close to the centre of Gouda so we could easily walk everywhere we wanted to.
The facilities were excellent, with an easy to use shower, comfortable relaxing area downstairs and.
Very confortable cottage in the middle of the city oof Gouda. Full kitchen and Netflix are perfect, mostly on Covid period.
The owner is really nice. We highly recommend it!
cute and cosy location, but very well equipped- we had everything we needed and more.
the location is excellent, the tiny street itself is magical and Gouda is so great!
Location was an easy walk from the train station , our mode of travel for this trip. We used Gouda was a hub to explore other cities in the area.. Delft and Utrecht.
