GALLE FORT is great for a one day visit.
GALLE FORT is great for a one day visit. The town is small and some shops are repetitive, with the same items for sale, but there are a few unique shops and restaurants which make a visit worthwhile. Sunsets are beautiful; walk along the top of fort walls. Take a tuk tuk to the local fish market just outside of town for vibrant local life and walk back. This Building is 400 years Old and in all our Travels of 30 years we have never lived in such a Colonial Building. The staff compliments the story behind this Colonial Masterpiece and they were Excellent. Service, Quality, Food and Drinks. It was a very Personalized experience living here because the hotel only has 11 rooms. We booked the Suite which was very spacious, Comfortable and Beautiful.

Galle is a city with a combination of a Dutch period fort and beach with all modern facilities. Dutch Fort is a very live well, reserved place with excellent attractions and choices. Walking over the museums and art galleries located in preserved ancient buildings is an excellent experience. fairly good nightlife available with ample choices of fine dining. within Fort, they charge higher prices due to high tourist demand. yet affordable eateries, supermarkets and facilities are available out of Fort within walking distance. Also people in Galle are very friendly, professional and helpful .

Malika welcomed, us warmly with cold coconut juice. Her breakfasts were copious and delicious. We appreciated too the complimentary bottle of water given to us each day. Our room was not very big but very nice. Wonderful bed and pillows. The bathroom was by far the nicest we've had in Sri Lanka. Our stay here was especially enjoyable due to the kindness and friendliness of Malika who is a perfect and very professional host.

Surrounded out of the hustle and bustle and only 5min away from the fort by tuk-tuk. Nestled in nature, gorgeous swimming pool and stunning terrace with reading areas . It’s a true boutique style hotel with gorgeous Sri Lankan artifacts spread accross. If you want a solitude getaway, but still be connected to town I can’t recommend this more. Thank you to the incredible staff who went out of their way for everything.

The room was very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was super tasty and you could choose between 3 types of breakfast. Location was not so central,but 5-8 minutes with tuktuk from the hotel to Galle Fort. They aslo provided us with1 free tuktuk drive to Galle Fort per day! Staff was super super friendly and helpfull.
