The room was beat down and the bathroom wasn’t pleasant. My door knob wasn’t working. I got locked out severally. Stray cats wouldn’t let me have my meal at peace while facing the beach. The meal was poorly done. I ordered some lamb chops in cheese what I got was a plate of disappointment.

Perfect place for business trip. All staff members are friendly and hard working! Angela is very helpful and she has warm hospitality. There is a restaurant, "SOY" at the ground floor and you can have a good breakfast and enjoy good Chinese cuisine at dinner time. Especially, they have a "Combo meal" and this is good for travelling alone.

Great rustic city with lots to offer for all travelers.
Being both Ramadhan and Easter weekend, we had different objectives for our stay. However, it is easier, and probably cheaper if in groups to travel by Tuk tuks (rickshaws) within and around the city.

I loved the tour of fort Jesus and the drive through Mombasa town. We had lunch at a place called char choma right on the beach front in Nyali, they have amazing barbecues. You definitely need a car to take you around Mombasa, anything less than that is not a good experience. Be careful with the locals, always ask the cost of their services before getting yourself involved. Google maps will be your best friend, it lets you know where the restaurants, shopping malls e.t.c are located.

Mombasa is HOT, and I love hot weather so it was fine for me. It is very peaceful, laid back place, and the people were very friendly. A simple NO to a street vendor was fine. We went to Nyali public beach, very nice.

Mombasa, a Kenyan metropolis, ensconced on the cusp of the Indian Ocean, proffered an experience both exhilarating and immersive. The city's historical tapestry, woven with threads of Portuguese, Arab, and British influences, manifested in its magnificent architecture, from the imposing Fort Jesus to the labyrinthine alleys of the Old Town.
My peregrinations led me through bustling marketplaces, where cacophonous haggling painted a vivid picture of the city's commercial heart. The vibrant hues of spices, the aromatic allure of freshly brewed Kenyan coffee, and the captivating calls of vendors all coalesced into an intoxicating sensory experience.
Beyond the urban hum, the pristine beaches beckoned, their silken sands fringed by turquoise waters. Indulging in the aquatic embrace of the Indian Ocean, I found solace in the rhythmic caress of the waves and the mesmerizing spectacle of the sun dipping below the horizon, casting an incandescent ember across the sky.
Mombasa's culinary scene tantalized my taste buds with an explosion of flavors. From the delicate nuances of Swahili cuisine to the fiery depths of Ethiopian stews, each meal was a revelation, a testament to the city's rich cultural heritage.
Departing Mombasa, I carried with me an indelible mosaic of memories – a kaleidoscope of sights, sounds, and flavors that forever etched this captivating coastal haven in my mind's eye.

Beautiful beaches, friendly people, great local food & the fruit is amazing We were away from CBD ( whose heavy traffic hours are crazy!), and enjoyed the slower pace nearer the beach areas. It's quite easy to get around Mombasa & to cross from the North to the South Coast areas & vice versa using the now very reliable ferry system. The little tuk tuk vehicles tend to be popular but fast paced drivers find them to be a nuisance
The staff make this hotel excellent. They are superb and so friendly. Special mention to Liz who was so helpful but the whole team were as well - I just didn’t get all of their names. All of the guys working there were amazing. The guys working in the attached restaurant were also very friendly.
The room is a good size and the hotel is well located. It is possible to walk to the old town but take a tuk tuk which are cheap as the Mombasa heat is crazy. Bathroom good as well and the hotel has air con - super important in Mombasa.
The major thing that I like about this place is its location and value for money. On one side you have the Creek view and on the other hand when you exit the hotel, its easily accesable to the Town. You wont find a place in Nyali at this price with the same services and facilities. The staff is extremly cooperative and welcoming. A very lively place at night, you wont feel bored sitting by the pool and bar with the creek view. Its been years, it has remained my choice of stay in Mombasa.
I can only recommend the Sheratton Beach Villagio. The personal were extrem friendly, the room clean and very comfortable. The location by the sea is perfekt. Next to the hotel you can find "Nero Kite Center", the best kitesurfing school ever. My instructor Armani was able to lern how to water start in just three days and i was able to enjoy the feeling of kiting for a short time. I can only say thank you so much for these wonderful great days. Asante sana:)
The best hotel I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Great location, near to nyali center and malls. and beach is nearby too. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing especial Ary &Jarvis. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. i do appreciate their high quality service. best place overall. I highly recommend for anyone visiting Mombasa.
The location is good - close to the main road and in the walking distance (15 min) to the beach. The studio is quite spacious with a very comfortable bed. There's a nice small hotel almost next door with a nice bar/restaurant (discounts included) and access to small swimming pool to relax.
In general, perfect value for money. And the host, Meggie, was very helpful as well.
When you are torn between activity on the Island of Mombasa & the Pleasures that the Mainland Nyali can provide, this is the best hotel to stay at. It’s a massive complex, yet you get your custom feel around your chosen hotel suite. I liked the color pallet in the rooms – very impressive, Very Private, Good Views of the creek, great staff who have me a massive late checkout!
The customer service was good. The interaction was great from the receptionists. They welcomed us well and allowed us to check in early since we landed very early in Mombasa.
The locations for their beach beds to relax and enjoy the view are unmatched. Great location for a creek view.
Very good location in town
Best hotel you can find in town with a low price and a good location.
A phone in the room to call for different service the hotel can provide.
Security 24/7
Whenever you come back ( even at night) the security open the door for you without any delay
Close proximity to town center
Very friendly attendant
Washroom was great, plenty of water, good sink and generally clean room
AC available in the room was a plus, given the high temperatures in Mombasa
I liked the functionality of the A/C.
I liked the buffet dinner.
I liked the fact that you can access the beach through the hotel
I liked the service at the pool area.
Friendly owner and staff, location (in the middle between city center and Bamburu beach). Good quality for 11 USD / night. My first accomodation in Kenya with a fan :-)
The location and the view outside of the window!!! I woke up to see Nyali beach. soo Gorgeous! There are plenty of tuk-tuks outside to visit the Nyali centre.
If you love old town, then this is the place to stay.
