The hotel is just a short walk from the railway station, the staff are very helpful and friendly. It has great accessibility to sightseeing attractions, using the train, buses, or walking. The room I had was fairly spacious and comfortable.

The ryokan is conveniently located near to the train station and just in from of the beach. I loved immediately the atmosphere of the ryokan and the bath space. The lovely owner made me feel at home and I cannot wait to go back for another holiday.

We loved our trip here. Little did I know, I seem to enjoy travelling in a pretty laid-back city and Ise was just perfect for that. If you're craving for a small city experience, out from the other international travelers, I'd recommend Ise for sure.

I visited Ise to see and experience Ise Grand Shrine. I am interested in the mythology about Japanese shrines and also in the Imperial Family system. My parents visited Ise when they were young and I wanted to do the same trip.

IseShi is an important city to visit if you like Shine.
IseShi is an important city to visit if you like Shine. There are plenty of Shrines and you will have not enough time to visit this place if you want to explore all of the Shrine. Also don't forget to taste the Ise Lobster and the Matsusaka wagyu beef.

The Ise area has so many positives and sights to see! The temples of course but there is the seaside to the north as well as the natural beauty of the whole peninsula that we would love to see more of, we should have booked for a week!
Ise city itself was very tidy, and clearly well organised and set up for tourism with walking streets and beautiful shops on the main street from station to Ise Jingu Shrine. We would still love to visit the Okage Yokocho ancient street area and all the other temples south of Ise!

Meoto Iwa was a good place, but getting there was sligthly confusing (mostly due to me misreading Google Maps instructions and ending up at a different station =);
Ise's shrines were great, I really recommend Okage Yokocho and the Uji Brigde: perfect for a nice walk with great landscapes and sceneries.
Ninja Kingdom was also an interesting experience, but as non japanese I cannot recommend the Real Life Game; so the time spent there was around half a day. From there, the Meoto Iwa is not far, so I would advise to combine both, if found interesting.

Great place if your looking for a shrine pilgrimage (many shrines in the city), especially since Ise Grand shrine is the most sacred shrine in all of Japan. Many shrines to visit (recommend Futamiokitama Shrine as well). There are many fun shops and restaurants/ food stands around Ise Grand Shrine (Naiku). The downtown area around Iseshi station also has a lovely street of shops and restaurants. Many buses and trains that run frequently to take you to many places.
A beautiful, quirky, little place. Right in the heart of the historic Kawazaki district of Ise-shin. Perfect location for sightseeing and the train station. The owner, Yuki (and her partner) are very friendly and speak good English. The facilities are great. There is even a 'water-coffin' in the garden (an outside bath) which is the best way to relax and cool down after a hot day. If I could give this 11/10, I would. Perfect.
It is pretty close to Iseshi station and also close to Ise Jingu. The whole guest house looks very new, and very clean, and I had a really comfortable stay. There is a lot of space in the room to put your big suitcase, and there is also a lot of space inside each bed cabin too. And I also like how they already prepared the bed with bed sheet on, and also provide free towel rental too.
The location is very convenient for Futamiokitama Shrine (Meoto Iwa / braided rocks), a few minutes on foot. It is not far from a JR station and bus stops to visit the big Shrines in Ise. The room is a traditional ryokan one. Mine had individual bathroom. The hotel has also common baths (furo), which, I always enjoy.
In a small town like Ise, this hostel is located close to the train station and bus stops to visit the famous shrines in the area. The facilities were kept clean with well-heated for those cold winter nights. The welcome drink was a nice gesture and the breakfast portion was perfect to kickstart your day!
Everything about the experience was great. We arrived early and the staff allowed us to drop our baggage off and leave it until check in. When we left, we asked if the hotel would hold our baggage again and they said it was fine. The breakfast was also great as well. Would definitely stay here again!
The staff was very friendly, we checked in super late at 11pm, she greeted us with a smile (with a mask of course) and had the room ready for us already! The hotel location was easy to find, just need to leave from the side exit of the station and walk for about 3 to 5min!
They provide free coffee and sweets in the afternoon and evenings. We could chill in their library cafe enjoying the coffee as well as read the books and play board games. it’s really near the Iseshi station and the shopping street that leads to the Ise Outer Shrine
I chose this place for its walking distance to Ise Jingu Naiku and Oharai-machi and Okage Yokocho. Around winter solstice and depending on the weather, you'll have easy access to Ujibashi at the Naiku entrace to catch sunrise over the torii gate!
It was super clean and tidy, very friendly and attentive staff, they speak english making it easy to communicate with foreigners. Location is good to visit ise and it's multiple shrines, walking distance from 2 train stations.
It looked like the hotel had been renewed recently, so the interior was very nice and modern. The staff were friendly and the laundry was free to use (nice). ¥100 for the dryer (10 mins). Price was decent.
The location isn't far from the station and Ise geku.
The staff are so friendly and helpful.
The ryokan is so aesthetic and amazing. It made us feel like we were in the Edo period. We love that so much.
Comfortable room, decent size, and great amenities including a nice breakfast and shuttle service to the Iseshi station. Staff was wonderful and very accommodating. Absolutely nothing to complain about!
Short walking distance from the Ise Outer Shrine that we came to visit, with frequent bus service from there to the Inner Shrine. Property is clean with friendly helpful staff. Wooden installations.
The building was very classic and had a lot of history. The courtyard in the middle was very beautiful. Overall the hotel was quite nice and an excellent example of a Japanese Ryokan.
