A comfortable accommodation in Goris. The staffs don’t really speak any English, but it was not substantial as google translate was available. What surprised us the most was the food. We ordered in on our first night as we were too tired to get around and it was so good we decided to order the exact same thing the next night.

Goris is one of the least discovered places in Armenia by tourists. I would say it is the only city with original architecture surviving. The scenery is outstanding and you see greens everywhere you walk. The pointy rocks in the mountains are unique. People are very friendly BUT the taxi drivers charge tourists double! Make sure you have a taxi app like Yandex.

Goris is a great base for exploring nearby towns and monasteries. Do get a marshrutka timetable from the information centre (open mon to fri) as there are several different bus companies and you might not get all the information from a particular marshrutka office.

One of the best place in Armenia for a very natural view .
One of the best place in Armenia for a very natural view . Supermarkets are really affordable . Drawback is communication in English. Rest you can get everything in center of Goris except the supermarkets beside the hotel. Very clean and smooth roads. Swinging bridge is one of the tourist attraction.
When searching for a hotel, you always read most reviews with a grain of salt. But I must say I was quite impressed by the genuine nature of the ones I read. I'll keep it simple : if you go to Goris, just stop at Asour hotel. You will not regret it. The tenant is amazing. The rooms are new and in the best condition I've seen in Armenia (have been in quite some middle tier and top tiers hotels in Yerevan) yet (have been here twice and for monthly stays). I'll be back.
Small , clean hotel in Goris with very polite staff. Good place to visit most beautiful places in vicinity.
Good bathroom.
Parking for free, a lot of shops nearby.
Very tasty breakfast, aprox. 6 eur per person , worth to order.
Be sure to order dinner from the hotel chef as well, fantastically tasty and huge portions.
There is really no good place to eat deliciously in the city itself, therefore dinner in the hotel is super option.
Hayi Tun means armenian house, and that's exactly the feeling you'll get upon arrival. Nice, comfy and secluded. Very quiet. The Host Mr. Gerard was incredibly helpful and gave me tips for best timings and other little hints about must-see locations in the area. Sadly I do not speak Armenian (nor Russian), but we were able to communicate nevertheless and everything went really smoothly.
- Lara Hotel is a family business. At the time of our stay in April 2024 (off-season), there were no other guests at the hotel. Nevertheless, the hotel provided us with an extensive breakfast (Armenian style) and offered dinner in the restaurant.
- The hotel and the room were in a well-kept condition. The room had a balcony with a beautiful view. The hotel facilities are adequate.
A small family operated business in the heart of Goris. The location was easy to find. Extremely clean with all the necessary amenities. Though we were late for breakfast, Hasmik, the land lady, offered us full breakfast with home made jams and dairy products.
A very nice hotel with a beautiful terrace that has a stunning view of the town. Facilities are clean, modern, and staff is nice. The food in the restaurant is good and the restaurant has a wonderful view as well.
The kitchen is amazing here. Being a fan or Armenian cooking, I sampled the restaurants and other hotels. I found the kitchen was head and shoulders above the rest, serving incredible home cooking. Top notch.
Mira is a very friendly and welcoming host. Breakfast was delicious & the outdoor area is beautiful where we spent an afternoon with a bottle of wine. The hotel is in a great, central location of Goris.
If you want to feel the Armenian soul and hospitality stay at this place! Comfortable and clean room, amazing breakfast and the most welcoming hosts you could imagine! I totally recommend this place!
There was everything to like about this hotel: perfect location, excellent breakfast, professional staff, and clean, comfortable rooms. Excellent value. Highly recommended.
Beautiful facilities, very cosy, beautifully decorated with antic items. . Staff were absolutely great. The garden was very beautiful, typical central Armenian garden.
