Kutchan is a lovely city with friendly locals and widespread English proficiency, making communication easy. There are plenty of options for renting or purchasing snowboard gear, which is convenient for enthusiasts. Overall, I will definitely return to Kutchan.

The ingredients and the cooking is first class. The staff is the most welcoming staff we ever met in Japan - and that is something. The open Bath is just great. The water is original onsen water. Relaxing in the rotemburo watching the clouds on Mount Yotei is paramount. The design of the room is a fantastic mixture of Japanese tradition and modern architecture. The room, the equipment, the furniture- all fantastic.

The owners were extremely nice and communicated everything well. There a bus stop for both directions at the entrance making it very accessible to either town. When I got hurt and had to go to the hospital the grandma at the property who used to be a nurse helped re bandage my ankle after the hospital didn’t do a good job and everyone checked on me every day. They also have free fans to use in case the room isn't cool enough for you. also a plus they have a restaurant inhouse for breakfast and dinner. Onsen is a super plus!

This is an unmanned hotel, instructions needs to be followed to ensure a smooth check-in. The staff can be contacted over the phone at the front desk and they use a translator.
