Beautiful beach with the best sunrise view.
Beautiful beach with the best sunrise view.
Driving there from Senai is good with the nice view of the bridge.
There are small township not too far away from the Desaru Coast area, so u can still get cheaper n more varieties of food n necessities there instead of limiting urself to eat in the hotel.
Cycling is good around the area, less car n good challenging route, so bring your road bike next time.
Food at tge Restoran Nelayan is good, food within Westin is superb.

The public beach was outstanding.
The public beach was outstanding. Totally glad to pay the RM8.00 for the parking as it obviously went to maintaining the toilets and wash-up facilities. There was lots of clean water at good pressure to clean up properly. The beach has always been long, wide and beautiful. And it was totally rubbish free, which was very welcome. Definitely worth visiting just for the beach alone. Loved the thundering waves hitting the sand, and foaming around you.
A short ride down from the public beach are the restaurants at the tip of Sungei Rengit. We tried Restoran Sin Kong - local lobster & crab - very fresh but the cooking style not so good. The seafood was a bit overcooked. And the chili crab sauce wasn't tasty. The steamed variety with egg white and chinese wine was pretty superb on the other hand. The seafood fried rice was very good, with tender seafood bits and good wok hei. The lemon chicken was so-so, but I guess we just had too much food ordered. There was a Restoran You Kee opposite but we didn't see many people there so I don't know if it's good. The most famous of all is Jade Garden Seafood Corner. But it was closed on Mon, and we didn't get to relive our seafood fantasies from the last visit 2 years ago.

I think this is a good escape place for loners of just a quick trip. I would come here alone if i need to unwind.
I even slept at the lounger by the pool. It is not crowded.
They said it is fully booked but the hotel seems to be 25% occupied.

since i was staying at four point sheraton, i need to go public beach to enjoy the view of desaru beach. however the beach is under someone management . The beach is open from 8am-6pm only. Entrance fee RM8. a bit disappointed because we cannot go the beach at night. So my advice if you want walking by the beach at night, you must rent hotel that got private beach. thats all
Breakfast was really good. Room was good enough for the price we pay. Love the facilities. The water park was super fun for the kids! The lazy river was the highlight of our trip. The seafood restaurant by the beach was really good too. Staff were all exceptionally good and friendly and helpful. The only thing I have mention is the small additional fee for extra pax. Just be aware of that. It’s inexpensive and I understand why management has to do it. Lvoe the vibe at night too. Thanks for a great stay!
My stay at Westin Desaru was amazing! The room had a stunning ocean view and a spacious balcony. The beach was lovely and expansive. The staff were friendly and efficient during check-in and check-out. I accidentally left my laptop bag in the room, but they quickly found it and returned it to me. Plus, the breakfast service was awesome with a variety of delicious food options. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend Westin Desaru for a relaxing getaway with great service.
The development is very new. There is a neighborhood mall just behind with Japanese restaurant, a kopitiam and Mr Dollar for cheap groceries. Short drive away there are ample other options for food and supermarts as well. Though have to drive further out to the beach and water park, it is a much cheaper than staying at hotels or resorts near the beach. It is a good choice for us since we drove there. Good WIFI during our stay.
The Lotus is an old but very well run hotel and is perfect for a short getaway with friends. The breakfast selection is huge and there is ample space for all the guests, even during the busy Hari Raya weekend. The beachfront access is definitely a plus. We loved the verticle gardens that they have on the grounds where you can see them growing all kinds of fruits and veggies. The staff are lovely and can speak English well.
The first impression in Malaysia was a best impression. This is my second time to a same location in this huge malaysia. Its due to you and your environment hotel desaru penawar.A best place located in a nice environment for and affordable price. Love you desaru penawar hotel. We will come to stay in you soon.🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️
We are a family traveling with kids and we love the vibes at Hard Rock Hotel. Also the friendliness of hotel staffs and the quick services that delivered to our room. We also love the Adventure Water Park that can be reached by walking distance. The foods are also great. We love the nasi lemak and laksa as well.
Location was more functional than scenic in the sense that we had access to a lot of small shops and eateries (Dominos, Pizza Hut, etc.) nearby but I cannot call it beautiful compared to the hotels we saw next to the beach front. Rooms were very spacious and nice. On the whole it was more bang for our bucks.
Everything d accomodation rooms foods library except d ember beach under maintanance dat we cant enjoy dat..beside dat everything was superb n d staff was vry good helpful polite n friendly..we really enjoyed our stay at One & Only Desaru coast..may repeat d trip if we can get a good deal..tq..😊
I went desaru for my anniversary trip. The staffs are very welcoming and friendly. And suprisingly i got the anniversary voucher as well consist of slice of cake and hard rock gift shop. Overall, i really enjoyed our trip and definitely will come again in the future
1. The general atmosphere was welcoming with great staff friendliness.
2. The beach was nice.
3. Food arrays were good with sufficient spread.
4. Quick response from hotel upon request.
5. Great SOP in place during these times.
I like the location most. It was short driving distance to Desaru Seafood Corner, SKS mall, Desaru Fruit Farm and Desaru Adventure Water Park. These were the places me and my family visited and it was so convenient. Thanks!
Located in the heart of Desaru, Bandar Penawar, not too far from Desaru Coast and main hiway, easy to get manoeuvres around the area. There were lots of restaurants, sundry shops, and laundry, and it was very convenient
We love the beach. Our room (triple sharing) was decent with a nice view of the beach. Understood that it is an old beaten up hotel, so we dont have high expectation. The location of the hotel is good and quiet.
The room was huge, spacious and comes with a view of the beach. The area around the hotel is quiet and peaceful. The resort has its own private beach, away from other the public.
