Location was excellent, ski-in ski-out to the green Family quad lift, just above the ski pass shop. Short hill walk to the main street with restaurants and food vans. The Family lift and slope is also accessible late into the evening for night skiing so less of a concern when timing our exploration to get home. We very rarely had to wait for any lifts across all 4 ski areas, although we did hear from staff and other skiers that there are very long queues during peak Christmas/New Year holidays. March was beautiful weather with snow almost daily (usually overnight), with bluebird days, so we enjoyed powder snow skiing plus excellent views of Mt Yotei from our hotel room and from the ski slopes. Hirafu area was the best of the 4 areas in terms of ski slope variety and lift accessibility, and I'm very happy to have booked our stay here for our first Niseko ski holiday!
The front staff were friendly and helpful, providing recommendations on ski passes and slopes for different abilities. The hotel provides discounted ski pass ticket which must then be exchanged for the actual pass at the ski pass shop. They were also very kind to gift us a bottle of sparkling wine for our honeymoon stay and ensured we had one of the best newly refurbished Western style rooms. The price of our stay was excellent for ski-in ski-out and in-room onsen!
The room was huge with a sofa, two super-single/small double beds, and a tatami area presumable for adding a futon if required for more guests. We had full-length glass windows and two in-room private onsen baths with magnificent views of Mt Yotei. One was a foot bath with a ledge and cushions to sit on and no attached and the other a normal onsen tub with attached shower. The tubs were clean and the water is drawn from real hot springs from Mt Annupuri with a slight mineral smell. Soaking in the hot tub after a long ski day and enjoying the sunset view of Mt Yotei was definitely one of the highlights of our stay!

The peoperty is very comfortable especially the rooms were amazingly devided! The bathtub with mountainview was devine.
The restaurants were one by one amazing. The little cafe is as well a plus. They could add a little general story in the hotel, however when i asked for a band-aid they imediately brought it to my room. I could for ever how everything was amazing!

Niseko is the place you go when you want to travel/ski but want to feel like your still at home with all your comforts. The mountains pretty nice and not as busy as I expected in the late season.
Hirafu is stupidly over priced for accomodation and food. it's the Whistler of Japan. Lift tickets are expensive compared to most other resorts in Japan.
I only came because I had to do some training at Grand Hirafu.
I ended up staying in Kutchan for 5 of my 10 days as its more affordable and has more of an authentic Japanese feel, although you then may have to wait for buses and you'll be sacrificing the night life if thats what you're into.
Overall I would not return to Niseko unless it was a powder day and I was riding with some friends. Theres plenty of other options to choose from in my opinion.

Niseko is great for snowboarding.
Niseko is great for snowboarding. We were here for the powder and didn’t do much else. The mountain is not huge, but it is bigger than any other we have been to in Japan. The price is higher also. But you get some fun runs in and the tree areas are uncrowded. Would be great if there were more restaurants in the area that are halal or vegetarian friendly advertised on google maps. There are seasonal shuttle buses that operate in the area and the online maps and real time display of bus location is pretty good. Afuri has vegan ramen which was pretty good. Home Made Udon Goroku had vegetarian options also pretty delicious.

Hirafu (the main town around Niseko) is a vibrant ski town with lots of restaurants. I loved it. The skiing was great and so was the nightlife. You do not need a car if you stay in Hirafu. The only caution is that the town feels less Japanese and more “western,” with lots of western food and visitors from Australia, US and Europe. It felt less Japanese than I was expecting. For some visitors, that could be a plus. For others, it may be a negative.

Niseko is a very nice ski resort.
Niseko is a very nice ski resort. Everything is very well organised as in most Japanese ski resorts. The size of the ski resort and number of lifts allows to stay for a 2-3 days without feeling you rode this slope 10 times already. Connection with Niseko Village is not very convenient as you have to get quite high to move across. If you get there during peak season, book your restaurants way ahead otherwise, you will end up getting your food from the food trucks and Lawson. A mix of both will allow to manage your budget. Things are globally more expensive here than man other resorts.

Very heavily commercialised.
Very heavily commercialised. Not a lot of Japanese culture to experience and very dominated by westerners. But having said that, communication in English was made very easy because of this! Incredible resorts, facilities and views. I can see why it's so commercialised and westernised though - because it's a geographically incredible spot. Probably one of the best snow resorts on the planet.
Firstly, they were happy to receive my skis in the post and they were ready in the foyer of the property when I arrived. Skis and boots were all kept in the foyer or near the entrance which made access really easy!
The room was very comfortable and clean, and the bath was lovely. Breakfast was a nice simple buffet with western options. The owners were helpful and the atmosphere was cosy and very family friendly.
The hotel is walkable to the Annupuri lift and buses around the area.
Thou its not near the snow activity but they do offer the shuttle to the downtown village which is very helpful. The room itself is superb with a japanese style room and the bed is sooo comfy and everything is super clean. They also do a washer and dryer in every 2nd floor which is very nice.
The breakfast yet simple but delicious.
The surrounding at the back of the hotel is so nice, we had a good time playing snow in there. Definitely will come back there.
1) The check in was quite seamless. Waited only a short while at the reception for the host. No keys or cards which is great, just a pass code, same one for the ski storage areas near the gondolas.
2) There is a drying room/coats room at the entrance. Love the tatami mat dining room
3) it’s a ski in/ski out property, super convenient!
4) comfortable transport is provided to move around Niseko village, bus to Hirafu town center.
I liked the location, a very convenient shuttle ride to the slopes and town of Hirafu or an easy late night walk (not in ski boots). It was a little off the beaten path which made it quiet . The room was clean and spacious by Japanese standards. I love that they have a small gym on sight and very much appreciated the common space on each floor that allowed you to cook some meals and do laundry.
Breakfast is a great value before hitting the slopes. Location is perfect. Shuttle bus to Grand Hirafu is in front of the hotel. It is the first stop, so very good chance of getting on. Easy to walk home after skiing if you don't want to wait for the bus. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of great food options, all within walking distance.
The receptionist is very nice and helpful. There is free parking, skin rent shop, ski information, onsen, massage service, mini-bar and restaurant in the hotel. The hotel near hirafu parking of ski slopes, near ski rent shop, gift shop, restaurant and convenience store that you can walk. The room is clean and large. I recommend this hotel.
- amazing and spacious room, very comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen, a great view of the snow and mountain, cleaning every 2 days, ski valet, and direct access to the slop and chairlift of Niseko Village. The staff is kind, especially Genesis who did our check-in and was really helpful. Facilities are very premium and clean.
The staff was very friendly and had great communication. They picked us up and dropped us off at Hilton Niseko Village which is the nearest lift and places to eat (kinda limited and expensive). There is a restaurant (reservations required) and a tiny coffee/cafe next to Snow Dog Village but the hours of operation is very limited.
Slowlife lodge was an amazing experience. Chad and the rest of the staff/owners go above and beyond to make everyone feel at home. Highly recommend this lodge for your Niseko stay. Breakfast is amazing and there is plenty of entertainment at night to keep you wanting to hang out and never leave.
The property is connected to the family ski slope in hirafu. Parking space is available if you drive up the mountain. The ski locker is convenient so you don’t have to carry all the equipment up to your room. It also has an 24hr onsen which a lot of the properties in NISEKO doesn’t.
Very new resort in Niseko Hirafu, quite modern hotel with onsen in hotel , 300 meters walking distance to Ace family lift , convenient. Ski locker room is very nice and very easy to access. Room is quite nice and good size , breakfast quality is good .
We loved our stay at MyEcolodge! The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Rooms were small, but comfy and had everything we needed. The hotel shuttle service was a bonus.
I highly recommend staying at MyEcolodge if you're visiting Niseko.
Located right smack infront of mount moiwa ski lift so you can walk from the hotel front door to ski lift directly. Plenty of parking and front desk staff was very helpful. There is shuttle bus to annapuri niseko available at limited frequency.
Great place to stay that's super close to the slopes. Breakfast every morning was great, and the hosts were super helpful. They really went above and beyong my stay! Highly recommend if you're looking for a place to stay in Grand Hirafu!
Comfortable stay and was the cheapest option in Niseko compared to others. The hotel is a 25min walk to town which may be difficult to do if it’s snowing heavily. Nice common room for people to use as well with kitchen etc.
Great breakfast, heaps of options. Beautiful onsen - one of the most peaceful hotel onsens from our trip! Great ski/boot storage. Good location walking distance to Grand Hirafu
Everything!
Perfect location, the cabin is adorable and very spacious compared to Japanese hotel rooms!
Definitely will be booking again on the next trip
