Lovely Staff. Very welcoming & helpful.... a locking front door means they let us in and out with the push of a button. For after hours there is a key-ring fob that opens the locked front doors.

Penang is my late dad’s hometown, so i’ve been visiting and staying in the Island many times since I was a child. I’d say that its capital George Town has it all; beaches, historical sites, shopping places, cultural centres, you name it and they got it.
One of the must-visit place in Malaysia whenever you’re in the country; please take note that it’s not that close to Kuala Lumpur/KL. If you’re driving from KL, it’ll take around 4-5 hours drive (and longer traveling hours train). Alternatively, you may take a 45 minutes flight via KLIA.
Oh, and skip the fancy clothing when you’re in Penang. It’s hot for the most part of the year. There’s no need to suffer in the name of fashion.

George Town is the perfect destination for those looking for a weekend getaway from the bustling concrete forest that is Kuala Lumpur. It is also perfect for those who hold a deep and special appreciation for cities that preserves their rich history and heritage. As you walk around the city, you can find yourself surrounded by many amazing street art and cute heritage sites, such as temples and other old Chinese architecture. And don't forget about the plethora of amazing and affordable street foods you can come across during your walk. Definitely don't end your day early and make the most of your evening as there are many night markets happening daily.

During our recent stay, Alan went above and beyond to ensure that our requests were handled efficiently and that we felt heard and valued as guests. His professionalism and dedication to his role did not go unnoticed, and it significantly contributed to the positive experience we had during our stay.
Exploring the local culinary scene, including Teksen Restaurant, Plus Eatery Cafe, Uncle Lim’s Kacang Tumbuk, and many others, was a true highlight of our trip. Having such a diverse selection of dining options nearby added immense value to our stay.
Thank you for providing us with a comfortable and convenient accommodation experience. We look forward to visiting again and indulging in more of the delicious offerings near your hotel.

UNESCO site, old buildings well kept, very clean streets all around. Friendly neighborhood, most business operators are very welcoming too. CAT Free shuttle bus service is excellent. We had great time visiting Kek Lok Si, The Habitat, Penang Hill, Peranakan Museum Penang, Blue Mansion, War Museum.
"The Top" at Komtar is very disappointed visit though, staff are not welcoming, very bad attitude. facility around is poor too, access to entrance is somehow confusing. Overpriced & not worth the visit.
The city council should pay serious attention in maintaining walkway of shoplots as we noticed many of the shop operator blocked their front walkway by using huge pots & plants, chairs, signboard, motorcycles and so on, forcing pedestrians to walk on the road side & fight with oncoming traffic, which already packed with double parked cars, potentially causing unwanted accident, this to me is totally unacceptable in such a beautiful city.
Tourism board/City council should erect more signboard for main tourist attractions too, it definitely helps tourists to walk around.

Charming city with a long history.
Charming city with a long history. The local food is amazing! Try the hawker stalls, local nyonya food/ restaurants. But if you want something fancier like modern western food, there are many new restaurants opened by the younger generation. Lots of coffee cafes operated by young people and they are great! It is easy to get around Penang in a Grab, and cheap too. Spend 1/2 day in Penang Hill - take the train up. Its only 4.5 min over a 2 km steep climb. The visit is worth it.
Honestly one of the, if not the best interior design for a boutique hotel in Malaysia. I love the view of the air well facing from the bed which its roof reminded me of my kampung house.
The bed was super comfy and I had the best sleep. The check out time is 12 pm which is nice.
Alot of essential facilities such as a ceiling fan, a mini fridge, an ironing table and a flat screen TV is available inside the room. The hot water runs consistently throughout.
Throughly enjoyed our stay at the Penang Marriott hotel. The service provided by Ivan and the team was exceptional. Everybody was attentive and nothing was too much trouble to make our stay even more special.
The location of the hotel perfect, away from the hustle of George Town. The hotel rooms good size and clean. Buffet breakfast offered a good variety of choice.
Would highly recommend this hotel to make stay in Penang extra special
This was my second time staying at the B Street Hotel, and it was just as cozy as the first time staying in Penang. The entire staff was welcoming and friendly, always smiling and eager to help. The location was right near all the popular sights and many restaurants and cafes, definitely a prime location. I ended up booking another night here at a later date when returning to Penang from Langkawi, and I'll stay here again for future visits.
The hotel is a hidden diamond, we had the premier plus room, due to availability. The room was huge and has a balcony, a fantastic bathroom and powerful shower. You get one free mini bar during your stay but obvs no alcohol. The cleanliness and brightness of the room was fantastic. The staff and manager literally could not do enough for you. The locations is great and walking distance to all the attractions in George town
it was exceptional. such a unique and great experience. to be in the heart of George town in a traditional yet renovated building with so much history is enough to have a local taste of the city. the rooms are comfy clean and spacious and quiet considering the busy and narrow street where the hotel is located.
and the ladies running the place are all wonderful, helpful friendly and smiling throughout the whole day.
Location, room size, cleanliness.
After feeling like in a prison cell in a hotel in Singapore, I came to this spacious hotel room in George Town. At least 10 times as large, half the price. I usually stay at a hotel in Chulia Street when I come to Penang, but my regular hotel was not available, so I booked this one nearby and was not dissapointed! I will probably stay at Attic Hotel when I come back next time!
We absolutely loved the superb architecture of the hotel and the amazing furniture - the whole place is like an exquisite piece of art. It was an experience of a time travel into the fascinating past of Penang. The room itself was beautiful as well. I can't imagine a better place to stay while exploring the amazing multicultural George Town and its rich heritage. Absolutely a magical experience.
I got good deal coz booked the hotel via Booking.com so no big complain. However if I pay walk-in rate I will consider again.
Stay 1 night here.
There is a Malay Thai restaurant in front of the hotel (bonus no need to drive 👍🏻)
Plenty of car park space.
Overall, i paid less than RM50 for family deluxe 👑
Definitely the apartment cleanliness, swimming pool and security. Louise was very accommodating to our requests and make us feel as welcome as possible. The location is quite good with a short grab trip to George Town, Gurney Drive and Kek Lok Si.
Excellent location, super charming hotel. offers great comfortable rooms and a very nice common area including relaxed pool area.
staff was outstandingly helpful and super friendly. best stay in Malaysia, highly recommended!
Bill was extremely helpful in terms of check-in as well as providing recommendations for things to do in George Town. The Hotel building itself was very welcoming and artistic. The room was nice and clean.
A boutique hotel but took care of all basic needs for a guest. Check in was seamless. Toiletries were provided. Rooms were clean. Most impt for us the toilet wet and dry areas were well separated :)
Attentive, helpful staff (all of them). Comfortable, stylish. Large bedrooms. Well situated to visit the historic sites and interesting streets of George Town (20-25-minute walk to the former).
wow what a value- right on the beach- super fun pool. traditional food court is immediately in front of hotel for copious food selections . inexpensive 15 minute ride to George Town.
The hotel is in a great location for reaching all of the attractions and restaurants of George Town and the staff are really friendly and happy to help with any questions or issues.
