Vasteras is a midsize town on the shore of what to me seemed like large lake, later I realised it was see deep in the middle of Sweden with beautiful islands, deep forests around. The city center is small but nice.

Fifth city of Sweden, located at a big lake. The city is not very big but has some nice park and canals. There are two nice cosy recreation harbours with nice eateries like Argrill and Bryggans bar. The Steamhotel is very impressive and very well renovated. It also has a sky bar with a great view. Sauna facilities could be used for non hotel guests as well. Restaurant Limone is one of the best places to eat pasta’s, during lunch time prices are more attractive. You can easily travel from Vasteras cs to arlanda airport by buss nettbuss or flixbus. To Stockholm a train is a better option.MichielNetherlands

Although the room was small,.it had private toilet and shower, linens and towels were included, beds were comfortable, tv and wi-fi worked well.. rooms were well heated. Easy check-in and breakfast was substantial, had ample options to chose from and filling. For the price of the stay it was totally worth it. Location is good for the views but it is a far from the city if you are walking. Food was excellent and the activities like pool and shuffleboard just perfect for a stay at the hotel.
