This hotel is located in the old town of Appenzell. It’s a short level stroll from the train station. My bed was very comfortable & the bedroom had traditional paintings & features which added to the charm. I found the staff to be welcoming & helpful. The breakfast was delicious & a great start to the day. I was really, really happy that they were able to provide some extra gluten free products for me as I am a coeliac. I stayed two nights here & thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The property is exactly as described on the website.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. We loved it so much! The room and view were amazing, bed comfortable and the staff were so lovely and gave us good tips for what to do! Better than expected. Trails nearby. Easy parking. Room was very comfortable and updated. During the summer, it was nice to have a fan in the room. We had a great dinner on one night. The host and staff were all very friendly and helpful. We would gladly stay here again.
