The location of the hotel is superb, ask for rooms with balconies and the scenery is stunning. The breakfast has excellent choices and is available until 10:30. Very good coffee too. Flims is as good for walking (mountain trails and forest walks) as it is for skiing.
Just 800 metres from the Flims Cable Car, Alpenhotel Flims offers a balcony overlooking the mountains in all rooms. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas.

Our room had a lovely view and was spacious with balcony outside. The bedroom and adjoining bathroom were clean and welcoming even if the decor was a bit dated. Breakfast was limited to continental breakfast, but had lots of choice. The restaurant had lovely views over Flims, which looked especially beautiful in the evening. We didn't use the wellness facilities, but the outdoor pool looked most inviting. It is heated so you can swim in it even in winter. The hotel manager and staff were kind and helpful. Hotel bus drove us to the Bergbahn. Also a local bus stops directly opposite the hotel.
The family-run Hotel Vorab - Kulinarische Vielfalt is located at the entrance to Flims, just 700 metres from the Flims Cable Car. It offers 3 saunas, a hot tub, and a solarium.

One of the older hotels there, more like a hostel, probably in need of a renovation soon. On the other side, one of the cheapest ones of the region. Location is amazing!
Just 50 metres from the cable car and 200 metres from the Yellow House, the Arena Guesthouse can be found in the centre of Flims-Dorf. It features a spa area and a nice lounge.

Nice ski village, fantastic scenery, restaurants outside of hotel not great or varied as far as I can see. Hotel lovely and that makes the difference.
Does need more free and frequent ski busses, particularly to cross country skiing. Flims convenient on public transport from Zurich.

Flims was a nice surprise for us.
Flims was a nice surprise for us. The restaurants near the hotel were excellent and there were plenty of wide open easy to moderate hiking trails from which you could see spectacular views of lakes and the Rhineschluct areas.

This is my 2nd trip to Flims/ Laax. Cos i really love it here.
The view of the alps in this area is so majestic and stunning.
It offers exceptional quality and well maintained lifts. And its pistes are absolutely great for both snowboarders and skiers.
Love NoName cafe up at Crap Sion Gion. Delicious home made soups and their vegan panini is out of this world.
The people at the hotel, restaurants, ski rental and school have been nothing but super friendly and helpful during my stay there. As a Singaporean with options in Japan and Korea, I'd still fly 13 hours to Zurich + train transfer to enjoy snowboarding in Flims/ Laax.

The positives: the village is set in beautiful surroundings with lovely walks, hikes and lakes on your doorstep.
The local public transport system is not easy to understand and not frequent enough. You have to pay for parking everywhere. The guest card which entitles you to some reductions can only be used via an app that you download but which is rather complicated and not straightforward to use.

What a charming, beautiful gem in the Swiss alps!
What a charming, beautiful gem in the Swiss alps! I’ve visited Graubünden many times before but this was my first stay in Flims, and I wish I’d known it earlier. Absolutely wonderful for families - there is so much to see and do, in nature and indoors on rainy days. We have a 5 and a 3 yr old who had a wonderful time here too; we loved the Connbächli (calculate at least 4h), Caumasee and Crestasee, Trutg dil Flem (upper half) and another trail from Naraus to Foppa. Public transport is easy and grocery shopping too; the Crest bakery has delicious breads and pastries, sandwiches and warm drinks. Café Ella is a nice stop after long hikes or bike rides, and Stenna Mall has something for everyone of any age. Can’t recommend Flims enough - go before you overthink it!
Hotel had an excellent selection of in-house dining options that left everybody happy — from our younger son, who wanted familiar comfort food, to our older son, who wanted a large piece of meat, to the adults, who liked somewhat more sophisticated dishes.
Good accessibility of rest of village, staff provided competent advice and discounts to many attractions.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant for breakfast and half-board evening meal was great. The Spa, with a heated outdoor pool was a nice bonus. Quiet area of Flims with easy access to Caumasee, Flims Dorf and the gondala station. Perfect location for the local hikes.
Location is the best thing about the hotel
General cleaning in the room was good and bathroom towels and bedding were decent
Great bakery and bar across the street, very near to a supermarket, bus stop and the base station
Bed was comfortable
Mini fridge in room
Balcony
The staff at Arena are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are big enough as long as you don't have too much luggage. The wellness/sauna and the ski boot heating room are very convenient. Parking was easy in the underground garage. Location is the best.
Staff are really friendly and you couldn't get a more convenient location for skiing with ski hire, ski room with boot warmer and ski lifts all in walking distance on same level. The hotel design is also nice. Breakfast was good too.
Great Spa, beautiful room and outlook, classy hotel. Very rich Breakfast and stylish Graubündner style lounge. Price of room (reduced). Were offered flexibility (+30mims if needed) around already generous check out times👌🏻
Amazing location - right in front of the ski lift area. Good breakfast included. On the last day, late checkout was not allowed, but the staff kindly allowed to visit wellness area to change and take a shower after skiing.
The hotel is extremely central and close to the main skilifts in Flims. Many restaurants and shops nearby. It includes a nice pub with a friendly/young crowd happy to chat to strangers.
Friendly hotel at Flims. Nice room with a small balcony, from which you have a beautiful view at the mountains. Helpful assistance at the reception desk. Great breakfast.
The hotel is very well run, everything just works. If something doesn’t, they will attend to it. Impeccable cleanliness. High quality breakfast food. Well run spa area.
