Our room had an amazing view of the lake and alps! Close easy walk to ferry.
Comfortable clean room and the staff were so lovely, helpful and welcoming!
Nice little village situated halfway the mountain.
Nice little village situated halfway the mountain. No cars allowed but the trains stop right in the middle of the village and the cable car to the lake is almost as close. Hiking trails are very nice and provide plenty of views.
Not many restaurants but the one open provided nice food. There is one shop with all necessary items. A bit expensive but when food approaches its overdue date, it's offered with 50% discount.

Mount Rigi is one of the most beautiful areas on Earth.
Mount Rigi is one of the most beautiful areas on Earth. Rigi Kaltbad is a start point of hiking with the breathtaking views over mountains, lakes and alpine meadows. It is a car-free area, so one enjoys clean air, clear views and bio berries and vegetables grown on the alpine slopes.
Rigi-Kaltbad means pastoral landscapes, peace and absolute harmony.

For being on top of a mountain, there are a lot of things that are easily accessible. We did some very easy hiking along a wheelchair accessible trail as well as a couple of side trails. The spa is pretty special, as long as the pool going outdoors is open. There are a couple of good restaurants and a couple of mediocre ones. Everything costs what it does in Switzerland: a lot. But it's possible to find pretty decent hotel deals.

Beautiful mountain that has fascinated visitors for centuries. Great walks at all different difficulty levels, one long path is even stroller and wheelchair accessible they say. However, weather can be unpredictable and if there is rain or fog you may see nothing and have no idea where you are.
Breakfast was just great. I enjoyed the coffee, bread and the croissants. On most days, a plate with some nice cheeses, meat and some nuts/dried fruit was presented.
The staff was more than willing to help with anything, and was eager to share tips for things to do and restaurants to eat.
The views from the room towards the lake are just stunning. Hiking starts right in front of the hotel.
Especially nice was the (not included) dinner. I would definitely recommend this to anyone staying here.
The location was just stunning with an endless view of the Alpes from the bedroom and the breakfast room. It was probably one of the most peaceful hotels I've stayed at - it helped that the rooms are well insulated, there's no TV (or at least there wasn't one in mine) and it was 5-min away from the centre of the village. The room was simple but comfortable and sparkling clean. The breakfast was rich with good Nespresso coffee. The staff was very kind and made it for a perfect stay.
Outstanding view of Lake Lucerne and surrounding mountains. Great staff. Kudos to Andre, Pascal, Rosa, and of course Chico! The walk down and up into and from the little village is tough. The hotel is some 150' altitude above the village. Unfortunately, no restaurant yet, but the breakfast was included and was excellent!
Perfectly clean rooms and showers, comfortable beds, very friendly and helpful staff. Amazing view from the rooms facing to the lake.
There is a very steep hike from the cogwheel station to the hotel. It's a really good exercise but depending on your fitness level it maybe challenging especially with luggage.
Lovely staff, very helpful. The hotel is nicely located not to far from a train station, and with an amazing view, we could only enjoy it a couple of hours as we were unlucky with the weather, but it was really beautiful.
Restaurant also offers good diner and delicious breakfast. perfect for a little getaway.
This is a very cute hotel on Rigi specializing in local food and specialities from the area. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is nice, we ate there for lunch and stayed one night. There are a lot of nice little touches in the hotel/ rooms. Many positives but My feeling are a bit mixed about the place.
Fantastic chalet style hotel with retro elements in design. Breathtaking view over the lake Lucerne from our room and from a restaurant where the breakfast is served. Very friendly staff, family style. Ideal place for romantic escape and "digital detox" (no TV in rooms). Spa center in 5 min walk
The onsite Spa was huge, well designed and comfortable in temperature - a great place to relax after hiking in the mountains.
The restaurant prepared great food and the food price was reasonable.
The location is convenient for great hiking or watching beautiful sunsets.
Pascal is a great host, and is very enthusiastic about the hotel and the area. The room was very recently renovated, and we had a room with a bath/shower, which was an upgrade to what we had booked. Location is great, of course, with excellent views, and sound of cow bells.
The spa and sauna was the highlight of our stay. Booking one night we had access to the spa for both days which was nice. The hikes areound the hotel are really nice. The room was clean and the breakfast was tasty and with a good variaty.
The location is absolutely breathtaking, the hotel is not the prettiest but is very well decorated and clean. The rooms were fine and bed was super comfortable. The staff were very helpful and polite, both in the hotel and restaurant.
The hotel is beautifully located. The view is breathtaking. We had a nice time overall and thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool facilities, they were modern, spacious and well designed.
