The place is amazing - great for solo travelers and couples. It’s name states perfectly what it is an exquisite tower, well furnished and located in Visp.
We had a meeting with my husband this morning, so the location was key to us, but we were surprised to find also a well furnished appartement were we could stay for longer than just one night.

The price is quite fair for what it offers, there is a parking lot and the bed was really comfortable. The room is cosy when you light the fire. We stayed there just one night to go skiing at Saas Fee.
Free WiFi and limited free parking are available. All rooms at the property are fitted with a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a bathroom. Some include a balcony and/or a view of the palace.

The person responsible for the check in came at almost midnight because the self check in was not working, she was fast and very nice. She also organised the breakfast a bit earlier than normal for us

The Adaastra Boutique Hotel offers a curious blend of futuristic check-in processes and traditional comfort. First things first: the automated check-in process needs a spotlight warning when you book. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate a bit of modern efficiency, but after a long journey, the last thing you want is to wrestle with a temperamental machine. You’re expected to input your reservation number, personal details, and then hope the machine graciously decides to issue your room card. My own battle with this digital beast ate up 30 painstaking minutes - far from a warm welcome.
Despite the rocky start, the hotel does redeem itself once you step past the lobby. The interior of the elevator and the room itself present a stark contrast to the frustrating tech. I was genuinely impressed by the meticulous craftsmanship and thoughtful color palette that greeted me—this isn’t your run-of-the-mill, cookie-cutter hotel room but a sanctuary of high quality and taste.
I appreciated the exceptional quality beer from a private brewery in the area available in the room - an interesting regional feature.

Very beautiful area with shops & restaurants within walking distance of the hotel we stayed in (elite). Bus trip up into the mountain villages was excellent & very reasonable priced.
Lots of nice restaurants in Visp. Local wines worth a try.

Visp is a small town, and doesnt offer much in terms of tourist attractions. But it does have some exceptional dining options. The one I particularly liked was "Restautant Fux" which has a fantastic dining menu and drinks :-) Other notable restaurants worth a visit are: Restaurant La Poste, Staldbach and Restaurant Elite
If hotels in Zermatt or Saas-Fee are sold out, then Visp would be one the ideal places to stay. In Visp, I would recommend Hotel Elite or Hotel Baxter as one of the best options to stay.

Would be dead, like the Welsh valleys, if it wasn't for Lonza A.G.
The trainstation however is very well served and is a jumping-off point for Saas Fee and Zermatt.
There is a regular express train to/from Romanshorn, which calls at Bern and Zürich.
The main/only real road, Kanton Strasse, runs almost the length of the Rhone valley.

a perfect location for visiting the Matterhorn at Zermatt also the excellent Furka Pass steam railway at Realp. The rail network is so efficient that a day trip to Lausanne with a boat trip on Lake Geneva was straightforward. Visp is an excellent base for the Alps.

I used Visp as a base for travels in the region, including Zermatt. Visp has enough places to eat and shop if you want to. It is well connected by rail. If you buy a regional travel card rail excursions are free (after you have paid for the card) and discounts are available on some attractions. I found this worthwhile.
We were particularly surprised by how good the restaurant was! The menu had very nice and interesting choices, the food was excellent and the staff provided very good service. The rooms were basic but exceptionally clean, modern, well-kept, and had everything we needed for a short stay. The hotel is pet-friendly. Breakfast was also good: good quality and sufficient, if not overwhelming in options. Overall, a very value for Switzerland and I would highly recommend anyone stay in this hotel.
We stayed in two different rooms and loved both of them.
The staff was very polite and useful with information we needed during our stay.
The rooms and the facilities were clean and spacious. The location of the hotel is at the center, walking distance to the train station, bus station, restaurants and shops.
The breakfast was fresh with good variety. The parking garage is across the street, make sure to inform yourself of how to proceed before arrival.
The staff was extremely kind and helpful during a pretty stressful portion of our vacation. We stayed here unexpectedly when my husband had a ski accident requiring surgery at the nearby Visp Hospital. The staff was willing to print paperwork for me and was flexible with how much I kept extending our reservation. The rooms aren't anything fancy, but they are clean and comfortable. The patio was really great when you needed some fresh air.
The hotel was excellent as usual.
The staff is friendly and helpful, the room modern but cosy and the bed comfy. Everything is super clean, and a bonus is the kettle.
I love the breakfast buffett, full English breakfast, combined with the best of Continental. Lovely fresh buns and muesli, fruit salad and even some veggies. Unfortunately at 7am I'm not really very hungry.
I always come here when I work in Visp.
Very friendly atmosphere, and a place I will most likely come back to in the future. I had a single room, which was not that big, but comfortable. And for once, a decent pillow!
The Wifi worked very well.
The restaurant have very good reviews from other guests, and I can only agree!
This hotel is close to a big road, but it is by no means a disturbing factor, I could not hear the traffic at all.
Very functional room, very clean and quiet. There's a balcony. The bathroom had everything I needed and was spotless. The self check in worked well, and the checkout was super fast. Overall, a great place to stay 1-2 nights for business. The location is good, it is a bit uphill but you get to see the entire Visp which is nice. I didn't have breakfast, so can't comment. I am sure I'll be back soon.

The hotel is located next to the train station, which is convenient. Restaurants and bars are located next to the hotel. The Breakfast is on the 6th floor so you are enjoying good breakfast and amazing view at the same time. Friendly staff
Hotel did meet all the descriptions. Quiet, simple and well taken care off. Do not expect luxury, but all basics are in place. Good Bed, clean shower, lovely terrace, well functioning WLAN, friendly staff.
The owner, as well as one of the chief of the hotel, come to pick us up at 10pm because we took a bus in wrong direction and there is no more bus for us to take. Thank you so much for giving us this ride.
The appartment was charming, very well equiped and perfectly located in the second floor of the ancient house in the city centre of Visp with nice views. We felt here like at home. Thank you Olivier!
The appartement is centrally located in Visp and easy to access from the train station. It's spacious, comfortable, and luminous. Alina is very friendly too, I would like to come back anytime 😊
