The staff was really friendly. The breakfast was very tasty and the bungalow was incredibly nice. It felt safe there, because all people coming in would pass the staff. It's directly next to the beach (although when it's flood you have to go about 15 minutes to the next part of the beach to lie down as the water here is too high then). Also a beautiful garden. We had a great stay!

Sansi Kae is an amazing resort. We loved our time there. Right On the beach. Great Pools. Great Staff and overall a great stay. The massages were amazing. The night activities were a lot of fun and created a great vibe. The way the staff treat you is like royalty. We made friends with lots of the staff and had some good laughs and learnt a lot of the language from them. They always went our their way to make sure we had everything we wanted and more!
The external company that handled the booking of activities were great too. We swam with dolphins and went to feed sea turtles in a cave. AMAZING experience. We also did the tour of prison island and stone town which were also great experiences.
The resort is a bit of a drive from the airport but the taxis got us there no problem. On the East side of the island where its not as commercial so it wasnt too busy. We heard that the North side is madness. Especially when doing tours like the Dolphin swim. We had 4 boats around us vs what i heard some people say its mayhem with over 20 boats as an example.
For a chilled getaway to relax and spend time at the beach or pools was amazing. I would recommend Sansi Kae to all.

International breakfast was the norm wich was tasty and can make europeans feel at home but local breakfast could be arranged too if requested wich I loved so much and was SO filling. Dinner is priced reasonable, a little higher than surrounding places but portions are HUGE and quality and taste is 20/10. All dishes are very fresh and the chef is a sweet soul. The owners are very transparant and well organised. They have trustworthy connections to arrange all activities you can think of and are very happy to help any time. The place offers a sense of privacy wich I loved. I can imagine it also being a very good place to celebrate with a group of friends as they offer the facilities (swimmingpool, bar, line wall, high quality music installation, game are). I really felt looked after and will definitely visit them again. Cleanliness and hygiene is 20/10, the place always looks and feels polished. Rooms are well equiped, for hot nights, beautifully designed and mosquito protection can be bought from them (wich works well and is way cheaper compared to buying it at home if you travel from Europe). Excellent location and such sweet and caring staff. Couldnt have felt more safe here. Wifi is free and very high speed.

This small resort with about 20 rooms was recently renovated. ( OBS the photos at Booking.com show the rooms before the renovation!)
The rooms were nicely decorated and the beds comfortable. We were even offered the spacious bridal suite for our 9 days stay; it had a balcony with a view of the Michamvi bay. What a nice surprise!
The food is good and varied, and the three course dinners (with both fish, meat and vegetarian options) are served at different locations every night.
The female manager Shirley did an excellent job, and she was supported by a whole team of pleasant and service oriented staff members.

Michamvi is good for relaxing and enjoying . There are few vendors and they are not disturbing you and friendly. We stayed 25 days at Kikoi Boutique Resort and arranged all excursions on Zanzibar as well as a Safari with Sir Alex at Kikoi for reasonable prices and with good service . Their Cook Mister Mahaveer Sing is a real Master Chef and we enjoyed every meal he prepared us . Compliments to all the people working there. You made our stay unfogettable. by walking distance you could reach Kae Funk, which is lovely place, with party, and amazing sunset view. Is right place for whom are interested for The Rock, by taxi it takes aprox. 25 min, the same to Paje beach. Michamwi is calm and full of nature. Unfortunately the ocean is full of seeweeds and is not pleasant to swim here.

It has some really nice beaches in the area and wonderful blue ocean as far as the eye can see. It's also quiet and very tranquil. We enjoyed a nice long walk on the beach with little to no interruptions from beach boys of sellers.
Great hotel and staff, food was excellent and always cooked to order, my wife has certain food allergies and these were also catered for.
Nice extra setting up stairs and good to get a welcome breeze at the end of the day while having a relaxing drink.
Housekeeping was excellent and every night the beds were turned down and mozzie net lowered, and the girl always sprayed the room just in case a mozzie got in.
Thanks Anna and the team for a great stay, I can
highly recommend this hotel
A great hotel for a family holiday. Feel like you're at home, silence, birdsong, rest, enjoy the 24/7 swimming pool, enjoy the best food and at the same time exciting themed evenings that the hotel restaurant offers in the evenings.
In addition, the hotel offers great trips to discover Zanzibar. As a bonus, just a super super team. The hostess Olena welcomes you like an old friend, and the rest of the staff is just great.
We loved our stay at Kae Beach Resort! It was more than we expected. The staff is really polite and they took good care of us. The room is spacious and super clean, and the maid cleans it 2 to 3x a day. The food was good and not too oily, but it took very long at the Bahari Restaurant to be served it was the only low point. The beach is perfect! I would recommend this hotel for sure.
I liked with helpfulness of the staff. Also, the venue beside the resort with music, entertainment, and shisha. The location is about a hour and a half outside of anything you could possibly do. They ONLY take cash on the property. All 5 Star Hotels and Resorts take cars OR cash. The food choices were minimal. The best thing I ate was pasta on the last day.
It was a lovely place, located on quiet beach. With just 12 rooms, its perfect for a quiet getaway. The aesthetics are very nice, coming from an Italian owner. The food was superb, especially for Vegetarians, which can be a little difficult to find in Zanzibar, but to top it all, their craft beer was out of the world. Didn't expect such amazing craft beer.
The room was nice and big. The staff was great and did everything to make us feel good. The room was cleaned every day. The breakfast was good, there was a choice of eggs cooked in different ways, french toast, cereals, fruits, very good mango juice and coffee. Hotel has a big pool and it's 2 min away from the beach.
The special thing about the hotel is that you can watch a great sunset in the evening, which is rare on the east coast of the island!
A very calm and relaxing place
The restaurant is very good, with refined, well-crafted dishes.
Comfortable room, beautifully decorated.
Lovely smiling staff!
We had a wonderful 7-night stay, absolutely an Excellent place to feel Zanzibar. Everything was just perfect. The staff was helpful, the accommodation was beautiful and the breakfast was superb. It couldn't have been better.
Will definitely come again to this place.
We have nothing but praise for our stay at Qambani! Everyone was so charming and helpful, delivering a sterling service that matches the beauty of the property which is a little heaven nested away on the Eastern coast of Zanzibar. We had a lovely time!
The best place in Zanzibar! lovely and nice people, great atmosphere, very helpful. Beautiful place with a beautiful garden, fire in the evening.
Good Zanzibar breakfast,
Rooms very comfortable. We highly recommend a perfect place to relax!
Set on a headland above the India Ocean looking east from Zanzibar. The rooms are magnificent. The staff were efficient and friendly. Requests were dealt with rapidly and easily. The quality of the food was vey good.
The territory of the hotel is very tidy and clean, the room was fabulous, the view from our unit was unforgettable, we were charmed with the tide going up and down. The service was good, all staff very pleasant.
That is the best hotel experience in Zanzibar. We are all enjoyed. All of staff are very kindly and the room are very clean. Good viewing in any where. The vegetable and fruit are from own farm.
super friendly staff, family atmoshpere, helpful owners and extremely cheerful bartender of the nicest girlish laughter on the whole zanzibar, the best mangos on the planet for breakfast
The hotel is beautiful! The staff are absolutely amazing. Everything about our stay there was on point! I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Zanzibar
It was just perfect! The location right on the beach with a lot of palm trees. The bungalow with private pool was the perfect choice. Best place we stayed in Zanzibar.
