clean, spacious room. Good wifi. Great food. Mega friendly staff
The Old Rectory is a 19th century bed and breakfast building set in the heart of Annan. It is built with the distinctive red sandstone, local to the area. There is free parking near by and free Wi-Fi....

We had a lovely stay. A very reasonable price. A great, comfy room with everything we needed. It was a really nice travel cot (with a good mattress!) for our 1 year old and the single bed was great for our 3 year old. A delicious breakfast that we all enjoyed (children and vegetarian included!) great facilities and a friendly, helpful host.
Situated just 10 miles north of Gretna and well located in a scenic area of south-west Scotland, Kirkconnel Hall is a magnificent 15th century manor set in extensive gardens and grounds.
This quiet licensed guest house is situated in the hamlet of Kirtlebridge. Located off the M74 motorway, it is 6 miles from Gretna Green and 9 miles from Lockerbie. There is a residents bar.

Annan is a small town but has lovely scenery and a good walking area by the river. It's great if you use it as a base to go to Gretna and Carlisle both accessible by train. The station is only about a 6 minute walk to the town centre. Cafe Royal make an amazing fish n chips dinner, portions are huge. I don't play golf but saw a sign for a golf course. Also a sign for a distillery. Annan oozes with friendliness. I will definitely be going again.

A mixture of 17 Th Century red sandstone buildings with a wide Main Street indicating an old market town. Many buildings had references to Robert Burns. It’s got a harbour and lots of “old fashioned “ individual businesses. Worth at least a day on its own or 2 to 3 as a base if you want to explore Dumfries and Galloway !

A nice place to stay for one or two nights.
A nice place to stay for one or two nights. In this small town you can get a really good fisk and chips.
You can have a great evening at the local pub and have a chat with the locals.
There are two places worth visiting if you enjoy drinking alcohol. Annandale destillery. Very nice place to take the tour and the local gin destillery.

Nice riverside walks. Powfoot close by for seaside walks.
Nice riverside walks. Powfoot close by for seaside walks.
Only a few shops in the main street. Due to covid, lots of empty buildings.
A few eating places.
The Bluebell inn is a nice, quiet and friendly pub, worth a visit.
The corner house hotel where we stayed serve snacks at lunchtime, which are very nice and reasonable in price.
The Powfoot Hotel is located on the beach of the Solway Firth with stunning views.
The hotel exceeded our expectations.
From entering to leaving the hotel we were made to feel welcome, the staff were friendly and helpful
Dinner which is based on a tapas style menu was extremely enjoyable with a wide range if dishes,
meat, fish and vegetarian. Probably the best meal I have had this year.
Will we stay again? Absolutely and looking forward to it.

What wasn't to like! The room was comfortable and clean and had everything I needed. Top marks to the housekeeper who does a fantastic job and apologies I've forgotten your name. Paola deserves a special mention, from reception duties to breakfast, excellent service. Don't lose her it wouldn't be the same. The hotel is slap bang in the middle of the High Street in Annan too, so central for everything local.
Perfect location to many attractions around. I was so surprised they had Cinema and omg loved it so much! Also plenty of walks around so if you have a dog and want to have relaxing holiday and eat great food ( breakfast and dinner were so delicious! I had the best desert ever! ), this place is for you. Hotel is dog friendly, everyone are super nice and room was clean. Will be back again!
The room was large and had the corner view over the high street. It was incredibly clean and the room was serviced and towels replaced after one night, even though we were only staying two nights. The staff were all friendly and very obliging. We had tickets for the Annandale Distillery tour and we walked the easy 1.4 miles from the hotel and back with no bother.
.Great welcome from Dave..just a lovely little B&B in lovely Annan. Owner allowed me to store my bike safely inside the property and provided a hearty gluten free breakfast
Room was clean, spacious and a good temperature with a super comfy bed.
Great stay, thoroughly recommended
Warm welcome. Careful covid-19 precautions.
Idyllic situation. Warm bedroom with wonderful views over golf course and solway firth. Breakfast excellent. Inventive 'Scottish Tapas' evening menu. Adjoining golf course but doesn't feel like a golfing hotel, an advantage in my opinion
The owners were lovely, very welcoming and accommodated me arriving early - which was greatly appreciated.
Id say the best option in Annan if you’re looking for freedom and comfort!
Home from Home, everything we needed. We stayed as we where playing golf golf at Powfoot Golf Club. Nice and quiet and not to far from Annan Town Center. Would definitely stay again.!
The welcome from the staff. So friendly.
The hotel seems to be trying hard to modernise , hope they have ever success.
Delighted with our stay, will return. Highly recommend.
