If you don’t want to drive there is a bus service with stops close to the holiday home. Some lovely shops and eateries in Auchterarder. Easy to get to the nearby little village of Dunning, Perth, Falkirk, Stirling etc if you can drag yourselves away from the Gleneagles estate. Lots to do there - including the golf of course - or just sit back, relax and enjoy a good book in the natural surroundings. The holiday home has excellent facilities for self catering or alternatively the Gleneagles Hotel offers excellent dining facilities and is only about 500 yards away from your base.
Would highly recommend.

The Jubilee walk in and around the Town plus beautiful parks, very easy to gain access to all shops and restraunts.
All the eating facilities looked excellent but we did not frequent them, as the facilities in kitchen were excellent at Craig Rossie Cottage, so we did not need to eat out.
There was nothing that we didn't like or needed to avoid

Avoid room 8, The headboard is on the stairs wall and the room is above the restaurant.
Lovely grounds with information boards about the different trees etc.
The leisure facilities are brilliant with the best massage in Scotland in the opinion of my wife.
Stunning location and just a 5 min walk to the hotel. Mike was extremely helpful and met us on arrival. Apartment was very comfortable, a few little extras left for us such as bread, milk. biscuits, tea, coffee etc which were appreciated.
Hotel is amazing, we treated ourselves to afternoon tea which was lovely and indulgent.
Even got to see Deer running around and to watch the falconry training, all from our apartment window.
Recommend Hendersons in Auchterarder for dinner which was about 1.5 miles away
Friendly, helpful staff. Very clean, had everything we could need and more, it really was a home from home. Felt relaxed as soon as we got in, location is great as it gives you far more options for things to do being between two bigger areas. Plenty of space for two adults and a child, huge benefit of two bathrooms, would love to come back in summer time with our dogs and also make use of the lovely private outdoor seating areas.
Beautiful setting, with easy access to Trossachs and Stirling. Well equipped cottages, very clean and organised, we even received a breakfast bundle which was a nice touch. Hotel facilities were great, there is a games room for the children and toys for smaller children, activities were put on for children throughout the day too. Would highly recommend for families and friends. We will definitely be back.
Apartment was stylish and very clean. The location was ideal for us to celebrate an occasion at Gleneagles hotel. The rooms were all great in size and the huge bed was very comfortable.
Pleasant views from the window and with binoculars were able to see many birds including a woodpecker. We also saw deer grazing in the woodland.
Beautiful, luxurious accommodation in a perfect location. Our hosts were so welcoming and did everything to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. I highly recommend a stay here and if like us you go at this time of year and see the famous Gleneagles hotel decorated for Christmas, well that's the icing on the cake.
The forge is a fantastic guest house in a beautiful location.
Lesley is a wonderful host and could not be any more accomodating.
The breakfast was beautifully prepared and plentiful, the room was modern and tastefully decorated, a real home from home.
Would not hesitate to return again, when we are in the area.
Very comfortable stay in a spacious, very well-appointed cabin in a quiet, peaceful setting. A short drive to the nearby village of Auchterarder.
Nicola responded quickly to queries and offered helpful suggestions about nearby places to eat/takeaways. I would recommended.staying here.
Great location, in the grounds of Gleneagles and hotel only 2 minutes away. Over looking woods with great bird life and red squirrels. Spacious and recently done up throughout and looking great. Everything you could ever need and in first rate condition. Really helpful re key pick up.
We have stayed at Gleneagles Hotel Numerous times and wanted to return for our 25th wedding anniversary but just couldnt justify the hotel prices….. do glad we found “The Beeches” stunning accommodation a stone throw away from hotel
The location was perfect for us as we had booked Golf at The Gleneagles Hotel. It was a 8 ish min walk to the hotel and the surrounding area was beautiful. A lovely walk to town too which was approx 50 mins.
A very warm, comfortable, clean and stylish hotel with friendly helpful staff. Dinner and breakfast were super as was the garden room they were served in.
