Does what it says on the tin. It’s a resort hotel and performs the task well.
With fantastic views of Rothiemurchus Forest and the Cairngorm Mountains, the High Range Lodge Hotel offers spacious rooms with original artwork by local artists.

The location was convenient and it was very easy to get to our room. The beds were comfortable and the towels superb.

The hotel is a old 'modernised' Inn in the Victorian times and that twee charm has been retained. The room although a single had everything in it that I needed. Lovely ensuite bathroom looks very new. The breakfast was really good, quality ingredients cooked very well (steady on, on the bacon though :)) It's a lovely, quiet setting overlooking the loch Albie? Very friendly, attentive staff. The owner was very accommodating very late booking/check in so I was grateful for that. I hope to return on my visits to Aviemore!

A really warm welcome. Any queries through messages were answered promptly and very helpful. For a quick, one night stop over during a long jour6 home. It was perfect. I would hugely recommend.

Amazing place in summer. Clouds, mountain, green surroundings and local restaurants, everything is exceptional. Small city so a short 1-2 days stay is sufficient. Tesco and Aldi are nearby railway station. Easy train access from Galsgow.

Really tidy and comfortable beds.
Really tidy and comfortable beds. The location was perfect, walking distance from the centre and the walking and cycling pathway.
The only bad thing was the water was warm for only a few minutes causing the rest of the family to wait for the boiler to reheat but it was still cold even after that

It was far bigger than I was expecting. Very well serviced by local buses to surrounding towns and villages. We travelled everywhere by bus. Lots of places to eat in the evening. Local people always ready and willing to help with travel advice.

I liked the central location of the Highland hotel and the activities for the children. The Winking Owl Aviemore is by far the best place to eat. It has such a huge choice of dishes at reasonable prices and great choices for celiacs and vegans. The staff at the Winking owl are lovely and there is a great atmosphere.

The town situated within the Cairngorms National Park in the Highlands of Scotland. There are beautiful views of all the mountains, forests and lakes. Not far from the legendary Loch Ness, it's hard to spot a monster. Amazing fogs.

Walking in and around Aviemore views scenery beautiful but my advice would be to go self catering if you can eating out is way too expensive for food and drinks
We love the area but didn't have a great experience in eating out .
Our experience was of poor quality highly priced food
The room was spacious, clean and bright. The bed comfortable and an extra duvet and pillows were at hand if needed. Tea and coffee making facilities were much appreciated as was the fridge to store some cold beverages and snacks. The hotel is well located close to and in walking distance of all the local amenities, as well as the main roads leading to and from Aviemore. This was a short stay but I would not hesitate to come back to the High Range Lodge Hotel for a longer stay.
The location was nice and quiet😀. There was a path nearby, which lead up to Boat of Garten, which I walked😀
Kaz was helpful when I had a bit of difficulty getting into the lock box😀
I had everything I needed and the co-op was just a 2 minute walk😀. There was a bus stop nearby, but I chose to walk into Aviemore, which I didn't mind doing😀
Plenty of shops and eating places. Public transport easy to access😀. Will book again cor summer so I can go exploring longer.
Cairngorm hotel is a super good hotel with all facilities. Good rooms, good breakfast, good food in the restaurant. Furthermore, there is a nice pub that you can visit while waiting for a table in the restaurant. We have stayed at the hotel several times and always get a good treatment. The hotel is well located if one is going to Speyside on distillery visits. We can highly recommend the hotel. And when we are in this part of Scotland again we will stay here.
We were in the lodges this time and decor is very very tired. Big, clean lodge but just needs modernised (thread bare carpets isn’t appropriate for a £300 per night rate)!! Now been to Highlands & Aviemore hotels and still enjoy Aviemore as a location. Glad the swimming temperature is better in summer as very cold when we usually visit in January. Breakfast lovely and resort entertainment crew excellent, especially Rory!! What a hoot.
The breakfast was really excellent (you need to select your choices and time the day before) and the staff very friendly. The location is great for exploring the Cairngorms. It is a short drive away from of Aviemore town center, so you don't get the crowds and traffic, but close enough to pick up things you need. There is plenty of parking and a lake right near by. The restaurant serves a nice variety of dishes.
Dated Hotel not much work done since it’s original build 1965 it’s like going back in time.
Booking in if not for been early would have been an hour plus in a long queue.
Pool not available even the day before checking in.
Food is prison standard (assuming) as not been inside.
Poor staff made up for it, management none existent. To me the Hotel owners running it down until no longer fit seems evident.
Location is really good and walk to hotel is fascinating. Also, railway station and m&s kiosk which is 24x7 open makes location perfect for stay in woods.
I will give thumbs up for very friendly staff who goes over and beyond expectations to make your stay perfect.
Another point to be noted is few restaurants are available nearby that help you to save some time.
The hotel was quiet and the staff were friendly. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and had all the right amenities for unwinding after a long day of travelling. The reception desk even held our luggage when we checked out before our train arrived. I would consider staying here again if we ever find ourselves revisiting Aviemore.
Really enjoyed our stay at the Park Guesthouse in Aviemore. The hotel is located 10mns walk from the train station. The room was not big but quiet and really clean. Many options for breakfast were proposed and it was good overall. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Aviemore, it was a perfect place to explore the area.
Small Country Hotel, great staff with very friendly relaxed attitude. Food was excellent. Pleasant strolling in fields behind with your pets as dogs and cats welcome. Only a couple of miles from Aviemore where there are plenty of activities. Not to mention skiing!
Altogether a very pleasant stay and would recommend to anyone
Location is great. Grounds of the hotel are lovely and nice to go walking through the day. Super close to shops and to get around Aviemore. Rooms were clean and most of the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Friendly staff, excellent food (had breakfast and evening meal) good parking facilities, hotel bar had huge choice of drinks especially malts and beer at decent prices.
I was many, many times in Aviemore and always stay in hotels, and that was a mistake! Perfect place for holiday ! You can find even board games and lego for kids 😉
The suite we had was great for three. The bathrooms had high quality fittings. The hotel is well-situated for exploring the town. We really enjoyed our stay.
