Excellent location for visiting Loch Lomond. Accommodation was clean and had everything we needed for a short stay. We ate in the pub restaurant in the evening... lovely staff and enjoyed our meals. Would recommend.

An absolutely stunning hotel on the shores of Loch Lomond, in brilliant and spacious grounds. Service was impeccable, as you should expect. Valet parking and the bags taken up to your room on request.
Breakfast was excellent, with great porridge and masses of choice. A wide range of restaurants to choose.
Lots of extra facilities (some chargeable) if you wish; including a marina (with its own restaurant), a sea-plane, a golf course a short drive (on the provided shuttle bus) away. Spa, pools etc.
We were fortunate in that a client had a boat at the marina, and so he kindly took us out for 5 hours on the Loch. Definitely recommended if you can find a way to get out on the water. The loch is magnificent.
Close to Balloch Castle Country Park, Woodvale is situated in Balloch and has a garden. Free WiFi is offered. A flat-screen TV and DVD player are available in some units.

Brilliant location. Very useful for accessing the town, Loch Lomond and the stunning surrounding area.
No more than 30 minutes from Glasgow and the airport although you would never know it in Balloch.
Large, very comfortable room.
Kevin our host was really informative, extremely friendly and couldn't do enough for us.
The breakfast was fantastic.

What a lovely place to stay and a wonderful host who couldn't do more for you. She catered to our toddler and left little surprises for him. The cooked breakfast options were also great and nice to have different options. We really enjoyed our stay and thought it would be a great spot in the summer (lots of outdoor sitting areas with fire burners).

Location was great. Near the centre. Didn’t expect that the room we booked had plates, utensils and microwave inside. Very good and worth for the price you paid.

Beautiful scenery on the walks to Loch Lomond shores, if you can get on the boat tour then I would definitely recommend, so tranquil. The Tullie Inn is directly next to the train station and across the road is the boat trips booking office. We’ve stayed here a few times. Pleasant staff, cosy, comfortable and clean spacious rooms.

We have stayed there before. Like where it sits on the Loch.
We have stayed there before. Like where it sits on the Loch. Easy access to parking. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Food good and great variety. The only downside is there is no sitting area away from the restaurant at night. Could do with a little bar to have a quiet drink before going to bed. You can easily access anywhere else in the Balloch area.

Didn't spend a huge amount of time in Balloch bit did a Loch Cruise with Sweeneys which was very pleasant. Also took a walk through the Castle Park and saw a Red Squirrel there, park is beautiful too which also has a walled garden. Lots of places to eat in Balloch and big Coop open 7 days a week until 10pm

Apart from the House of Fraser shopping centre there was not much else. Ideal for walking an=round the area but the town itself is in need of investment as it was pretty shabby, poor example of the gateway to Loch Lomond

Very nice area, we ate and drank in a couple of the bars/...
Very nice area, we ate and drank in a couple of the bars/restaurant in the area but by far the best was 'the dog house' and 'Mavi' where we we greeted like locals and had a good afternoon drinking, before continuing into the Mavi for drinks and Scottish Folk night which was excellent. The staff, owners, and customers alike were all very friendly. I wish it was easier for us to go back!
Excellent host who was willing to fulfil our special request of a very late check-in - a request that we found very hard to accept by other hotels or guest houses doing in-person check-in in that area.
Fantastic breakfast menu you can choose from the evening before. Even better the taste and quantity of served meals we were not able to finish.
We had a very short but the better stay at Gowanlea Guest House I would recommend to anybody. If coming back to Balloch and surroundings, definitely going to stay at Gowanlea again.
The apartment was very spacious and comfortable, within easy walking distance from Balloch. Lovely to park outside, there was a table and chairs outside at the front too. Lots of restaurants and shops in Balloch and you can walk to the river and catch a ferry or tour of Loch Lomand, also near to Loch Lomand Shores, worth a visit if you like water sports, adventure playground for children, Sea Life and a few shops.
It was lovely to have space, rather than cramped hotel rooms great value for money and very clean.
Felt a real home from home! Rooms are on top floor of family home. Rooms very clean, lovely friendly family running it. Brilliant location in central Balloch. It’s halfway between a B&B and a hotel room, perfect balance of independence and yet still people around if you need them. Nice communal lounge. En suite, 4 comfy beds in our room, plus tea, coffee, fridge & microwave in the room. Car parking but also near train station. Couldn't ask for a better location and a friendlier family!
This was a great place to stay that provided a hotel that was in in Glasgow proper and a bit north but was easy to get to after getting off an Intenational flight when your brain is not working. It made the trip north the next day so much easier as we did not have to sit in Glasgow traffic and were already a bit north. The Pub was very convenient and appreciated. We were exhausted and appreciated the very kind and accommodating staff.
Overall we had a lovely stay at Lomond Park hotel, Room was clean and had good amenities and shared bathroom was cleaned often. Perfect location, is only a short walk away from the Loch and Balloch train station. There are a few lovely restaurants near by and eating downstairs was great too. Breakfast included was a big plus, wasn't a full big breakfast but was a continental buffet which was perfect for us.
The breakfast was the best I have had and that includes stays at 4 star ⭐️ hotels Better than expected. The location is fab as it is next to the Balloch train termination stop. Next to local bars, disco, restaurants, chip shop local shop, cruise boats etc and on the banks of Loch Lomond with Balloch country park and Castle within walking distance. I would well recommend “The Anchorage”
Stayed in the small apartment. It was perfect as everything is provided. We had a great weekend and there’s an outdoor seating area you can use. Great sleep as pillows and bed so comfy . The best breakfast served from any B&B that I have visited . Thanks for my favourite Stornaway black pudding . Thanks for the tips on visiting other areas next time we visit .
We found the staff very friendly and willing to help with anything we asked. The hotel was ideally located for seeing the local sights. We were there to get my spouse to hospital first thing for a surgery and it was perfect.
The room was well decorated with a comfortable bed.
We were in room 3. Very spacious and got a good nights sleep. Plenty of choice for breakfast and piping hot.
Mid week break so probably quieter which we liked. Staff were lovely. Location spot on for exploring Balloch and surrounding area
Very good location. Cheap for the area that we stayed in. Had everything we needed for our stay. Lovely room and very comfortable bed. We will definitely be looking to see if this accommodation is available again for future visits.
Lovely hotel with very friendly owners. Within walking distance of all Balloch amenities. Hotel was still being renovated when we stayed so the restaurant wasn't ready, but would love to see the hotel when it is finished :)
We really enjoyed the location of this hotel! It's very convenient to walk to restaurants, Balloch Country Park, and the train station which was great for us. The bed was also clean and comfortable enough for one night.
We have used the restaurant many times. It is one of the reason we like to visit this part of Scotland. But this is the first time we have stayed in the Hotel and it will not be the last time. Fantastic
Beautiful location. The breakfast area and restaurant were stunning and the food was lovely. Staff were all really friendly and polite. The aesthetic of the hotel is spot on, the decor is lovely.
Lovely hotel, lots of character with a touch of modern in places, ideal location near lots of activities, good food, very friendly staff always happy to help
