The quality of food was very high, very well presented and delicious. The room was comfortable with some thoughtful welcoming touches. We particularly liked the radio tuned to Jazz FM and cookies in a jar next to the bed. All staff were polite, courteous and helpful. We had a lovely stay.

Hotel was an atmospheric old pub very conveniently situated in the middle of town near bus stops and railway station. The single room was comfortable and the breakfast menu was good

It was actually East Boldre we stayed but it was really in Beaulieu. It is well placed to reach anywhere. Many places of interest on the doorstep. We went 20th June and there were loads of foals and young donkeys who were so cute. I love the fact that animals have the right of way - and humans have to wait for them to move. We visited Brockenhurst, Lyndhurst, Ringwood, Beaulieu car museum and Bucklers Hard and they were all worth a visit. Many picturesque villages in the New Forest.

The approach to Beaulieu through the New Forest is magical in its own right. The Village is quintessentially British and very charming. One could spend hours meandering along the streets windowshopping. For lovers of old cars you will be in seventh heaven.

The food was excellent but not a great deal of choice, if you want a room over looking the river you need to be very adept as its difficult to climb the stairs, these rooms don't have showers only baths that take for ever to fill. We was fortunate that the hotel didn't seem to be full, if it was I think you would wait for ever to be served in the restaurants and bars.

Go with an open mind and you won't be disappointed.
Go with an open mind and you won't be disappointed. Hotel reception set in part of the old buildings, as was the bar area. Previous (to my knowledge) the display of historic scenes had been moved and are now mainly within the Museum just up the hill. Tea rooms up the hill further were well stocked, clean and airy.

We liked Palletts tea rooms and the shops.
We liked Palletts tea rooms and the shops. The shops didn't stay open long enough for us.
Beualieu Motor Museum is very close and I thoroughly enjoyed it on a previous visit. My wife enjoyed Buckler's Hard and I went bird watching.
The Master Builder's at Buckler's Hard is a lovely hotel in a very pretty and peaceful spot. It's right by the water and is surrounded by beautiful countryside - there's an amazing walk from Buckler's Hard to Beaulieu (2.5 miles each way). The Mater Builder's is a dog-friendly hotel, and they even provided a bed, a bowl, poo bags, and some Lily's Kitchen treats for our pooch. The staff were all very friendly, and the room was very nice - comfy bed, decent bathroom, and tea/coffee making facilities etc.
The location was stunning. the hotel was just amazing and felt like we had gone back in time with all the history that surrounds it. our bedroom was clean and cozy and just beautiful. The staff were all helpful and friendly. we ate dinner in the evening at the river view restaurant, the food was amazing as was breakfast, we took the boat trip and took a walk along the river, can’t believe we had never heard of this place. was the most perfect stay.
The property and location are both very pleasant. Pear Tree Cabin is located beside a private house with secure gates in Fursey Lane in the middle of the New Forest. One definitely feels squarely in the ancient territory of some very entertaining four-footed friends. The colour scheme, beds, fittings, bathroom and bedlinen are all excellent quality. It feels like a hotel suite. The host kindly provided us in advance with milk, butter and eggs.
The location of the hotel was peaceful, with just the sounds of the various seabirds. Our room was wonderful, with good views of the river and a very comfy bed.
The terrace is a great place to sit and enjoy a drink or a meal, with a garden leading down to the riverside, and we enjoyed the river cruise and the walk to Beaulieu for lunch.
The location is so peaceful and the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was lovely. Although I wasn't a fan of the room, the bed was large and the bathroom had a bath. The location is by far the best thing about this hotel, with the walk to Beaulieu and river cruises right outside, and the garden terrace for sunny days.
Beaulieu is a very picturesque and busy little village well located for visiting the New Forest.
The hotel was wonderful as were the staff. We stayed in the Walnut Suite which was very comfortable for our 6 night stay. Breakfast was excellent, if a little pricey. We enjoyed the Terrace restaurant too.
The cottage is charming and is located right on the high street making the location ideal for several walks from Beaulieu including to Bucklers Hard. Ed and Beg are lovely and we had lovely evenings chatting to them and sharing stories in the gorgeous garden.
Beautiful little country cottage in a perfect, quiet location with walking routes on the door step. Close to Bucklers Hard and Beaulieu - the prettiest part of that forest. The cottage has everything you could possibly want and we will definitely be back!
The staff were exceptional, all of them. The location was great, walked to Bucklers hard from hotel. Grounds were so well kept and a lovely area to sit out. The room was warm and bed was comfy. It had a lovely ambience about the whole place.
Quiet, peaceful location. Clean, well equipped, main room, good shower room, plenty of hot water, huge TV, comfortable bed, Phoenix the horse!
Good location with easy access to Beaulieu, Lymington, the coast and forest.
The hotel oozes character , the staff were all extremely professional, especially Vincent , who excelled in providing a 5 star experience .
we would highly recommend as the perfect New Forest hotel .
The location is stunning and the hotel is a very interesting, quirky old building with a lot of history and character. The bed was very comfortable and we slept really well.
Perfect location for exploring the New Forest, especially the beautiful Beaulieu and Bucklers Hard. The self contained unit at the property has everything you need.
