A favoured holiday spot since the Victorian era, Blackpool is a traditional English seaside town. Amusement arcades and crazy golf courses line the promenade and dotted between them are plenty of places to pick up fresh fish ‘n’ chips and Blackpool rock.
On the 5-mile sandy beach, children can enjoy Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides. Old-fashioned entertainment at its best. At the other end of the scale is the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a fairground complex comprising a variety of rides, including The Big One - once the world’s tallest and steepest rollercoaster. They actually had to get permission from nearby Blackpool Airport to erect it!
More seaside pursuits are on the town’s 3 piers, one of which is Grade II listed. However, the most recognisable landmark is the Blackpool Tower which houses a circus, 4D cinema and a world-renowned ballroom, to name a few. Modelled on the Eiffel Tower, it is spectacularly lit during the annual Blackpool Illuminations, when the whole town is bathed in bright lights. The trams plying the prom are also lit. Look out for the one shaped like a ship.
A popular stag and hen do destination, Blackpool offers accommodation ranging from North Shore hotels to South Shore B&Bs - see Booking.com for the best choice.

We really enjoyed the Blackpool Dungeons and the experience was truly amazing.
The beach was lovely and we really enjoyed taking daily walks up and down it.
They was high winds while we was there but we never allowed it to stop us, we wrapped up and made the most of the time we had in Blackpool.

Great place for kids. Can be expensive.
Great place for kids. Can be expensive. So I would recommend only suitable for a short trip. Such as a weekend or few days. My son loves Blackpool as everything on your doorstep. However entry fees can be pricey so bare this in mind and choose wisely when booking events and things to do. The staff are always friendly everywhere I've visited and we go down every Easter

We enjoyed our stay in Blackpool.
We enjoyed our stay in Blackpool. There are plenty of places to eat to suit all tastes. I would recommend the Ardwick pub. It's not far from the Blackpool tower. The beer, larger and stouts are £1.80 a pint.

I took my Granddaughters to the plessure Beach and we had an amazing day. The hotel was on the promenade and we used the trams a lot to get a bout . The team stop was just out side our hotel. The second day we were going up the tower which was cancelled as the lift was not working. I think 2 days in Blackpool is enough time to do what you want

Not what I heard, nothing good to say about Blackpool nor what offer for the money you pay nor hotels or pleasure Beach hotels restaurant up to lowest standard I could have travelled to Paris or New York for the same money you spend in filthy hotels and town of Blackpool
Location was spot on and where we wanted to be the hosts were amazing and very friendly and so welcoming the room was amazing bed comfy and room was quality and the bar in hotel was quite cheap for Blackpool you were 60 second walk from hotel to seafront about 2 minute walk from south pier and about 5 mins walk from pleasure beach and 30 secs walk from south pier tram stop where you can get the tram to town or through the illuminations trams were every 15 minutes quality couldn't beat it
The proximity to the beach and main entertainment venues of Blackpool - only a short walk from Blackpool Tower and the seafront. Excellent full English breakfast. Friendly bar and staff. Limited free parking in front of the hotel. Struggled to find parking near hotel on New Year’s Eve, but managed to find parking at
Caunce Street/Church Street Car Park, Cookson St, (Open 24 hours)
The next day I managed to find a spot in the car park adjacent to the hotel, which was a bonus!
Conveniently located hotel, in a quiet neighbourhood. It takes a nice 40 min walk on the seafront to get to the Blackpool Tower.
Modern and very clean room of a decent size. A bit hard, but comfy matress, and comfy pillows. A nice selection of tea and coffee in the room. Spotless bathroom. Excellent breakfast in a form of an open buffet, with a great selection of options to choose from. Friendly and helpful staff. The Polish-speaking receptionist checking us in was just lovely :)
Fantastic host, welcomed us in and showed us to out room explained everything about the hotel to us.
Great sized room with big TV, robes, slippers shower gels and got drink making facilities. Hotel is situated in an excellent location pretty much in-between the tower and the pleasure beach with a tram stop nearby if you don't fancy walking. We come to Blackpool around the same time for a few nights every year and this will be the hotel we will look at first going forward.
From a very friendly check-in to leaving, The hotel ticks all the boxes for exceptional value.
We stayed half board, The food was really tasty, plentiful and had everything you need.
The rooms are very compact but provide everything you need for a comfortable stay, Very warm, hot drinks tray, flat screen TV, fluffy towels and extremely good quality bed, pillows and linen. We'll definitely making this our first choice when in blackpool.
Keep up the hard work!!!
This is a wonderful hotel. The rooms were cozy but had everything we needed and everything was spotlessly clean. Location is great, on the North Shore and away from the noise but with Blackpool’s main attractions easily accessible. The breakfast was fantastic and they were so accommodating. The best part of this hotel is the family who run it - they are so lovely, nothing is too much trouble and they immediately make you feel welcome. This is a Blackpool gem!
Great location, with parking onsite which is a big bonus. The staff were excellent and very friendly, couldn’t do enough for us. Room was large, clean and bed were comfortable. Breakfast was tea or coffee, juice, choice of cereal, toast and a full English, very enjoyable. We only stayed the one night, but we were allowed to leave the car parked at the hotel on our leaving day for a few hours longer whilst we had more time to explore Blackpool.
Second time I’ve stayed in this hotel, absolutely amazing and friendly staff. Bar is pretty decent priced too also. Location is okay, if your staying south shore but if wanting north it’s about 10-15 walk to tower.
Basic small rooms,( twin) but that’s all I wanted as literally just went to hotel to sleep as was always out.
Very very good for groups, or if you wanting a piss up in Blackpool
While the room was more than a little aged and cramped and a hot shower was a gamble, the Walford more than made up for it with their very welcoming staff and superb breakfasts. Within a single morning, we all felt like family and were very well looked after. I’m sure I’m misspelling their names, but Lynne, Gary and Gail are some of Blackpool’s best!!
Ben and Ian have done a brilliant job with the hotel. it’s perfectly placed on the front, the rooms are spotless and so comfy, and the breakfasts!! omg… They also have the best stocked bar in Blackpool. To cap it all, they are two of the nicest, most genial hosts in the business. Can’t wait to come back….
clean room, family friendly accommodating staff, even made breakfast early for us as we had to rush off. Located close to the seaside and pleasure beach. Public parking nearby. For a cheap hotel in Blackpool this hotel deserves 10/10
The owners and staff were outstanding. They made such an effort to make me feel special for my birthday. The hotel room had everything, iron, hairdryer etc. The breakfast was delicious and great location to Blackpool attractions.
One of the best hotels we have stayed in at blackpool. The family room was a great size for the kids too. Anything we asked the hotel wasnt a problem at all either and already told friends and family about the hotel
Great location on the seafront in central Blackpool and near to Blackpool North station. The hotel was very stylish. One of the comfiest hotel beds I've slept in for ages!
