Beautiful location with fantastic attention to detail. The walled garden rooms were sweet and perfect for a short stay. The main house was wonderfully inviting with lovely staff. A highlight was seeing the two highland cows that live happily on the grounds!

Location and comfort. Food was excellent in the pub. There was a problem with the hot water in the morning, however once it was reported we were recompensed and an engineer was on site quickly.

Our room was good - a fine size, with a big, comfortable bed and very clean. Towels were refreshed every day. There was a hairdryer, fan and iron situated inside the wardrobe for guest use. Electric sockets were in good proximity to mirrors. Tea, coffee and biscuits were provided. The bathroom was modern, good light up mirror above basin. One slight downside was that the shower was in the bath and the side was quite high, it wouldn’t suit everyone.
Breakfast was very good. Large room to the side of dining room laid out with buffet. Plenty of choice and replenished often.

Food excellent….staff went out of their way to help…. We took our dog and he was so fussed over and looked after!!! We took friends with us and their room was above the kitchen extractor fan which had been left switched on overnight but the staff were so apologetic and made sure it didn’t happen again.
The staff also set up a table in an area outside the dining room so that our dog could join us for meals.

Great base for visiting attractions in the Highlands, quite a lot of place's to visit in the area.
Great area if you area a walker.
Train station just at sidecof the hotel, so not far to walk. Be aware that there are not a lot of places to eat in the area.

We had breakfast at the Old Water Mill, a must! Excellent breakfast and the bread is to die for.
The Atholl Arms was good, service a little slow, but we were in no rush.

It's a beautiful area with lovely walks and the sun has always been shining on my visits, even when it was near freezing.

The bedroom was not as displayed on the booking .com and their own site, and the bed was very uncomfortable as you could feel the springs through the mattress. The bathroom was updated and looks lovely the bedroom was large but in need of up grading the tv was old and small the remote did not work as it was not the remote for the tv so you had change tv station/sound manually. At breakfast the link sausage was hard to cut and the potatoe scone was not cooked.
The evening meal in the Bothy bar was great and the staff were attentive.

This hotel is not a five star hotel and there was no evidence of deep cleaning or indeed any professional cleaning. It is understaffed and there is certainly not the ratio of staff to clients that is required by a 5 star rating. We purchased an expensive bottle of white wine (£65) which was served warm and we had to give instructions about chilling it to the right temperature. This hotel is not only not worthy of its price point but is not professionally managed or overseen. We left a day early because our stay was so compromised by the lack of facilities and the cleanliness issues which we felt presented a real risk to health.
Beautiful property with very friendly staff. We stayed in one of the smaller stable rooms, and while it was a bit cramped with all our bags, the bed was very comfortable. The reception spaces in the main house were lovely and the grounds were really beautiful. We enjoyed the experience of meeting other guests in the reception room for drinks before the delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant. The hotel staff were so welcoming. It was a luxurious experience! We only stayed one night, but I would love to come back and stay for several.
The beautiful entrance and the ability to park and access the hotel from the rail station. The welcoming we always receive as well as our many friends who stay there as the hotel are very group friendly. We enjoy using the internal bar and impressive dining hall for our events. A nice recent touch was the fire which was on in the evening in the open fireplace. It was a cold evening so it went down really well. Breakfasts are great and traditionally Scottish. We all love staying there and are looking forwards to our next stay.
Large semi detached house, very clean and comfortable. Log burner in sitting room and open fire in large dining room.
Courtyard to sit out and a front garden.
Very friendly golf club with a Restaurant and area for drinks outside; minutes walk from the house. Shop and hotel near by.
Blair Atholl is situated in a very nice quiet country area, very peaceful to walk around.
We had a short break, didn't have time to get to the Mill for coffee and a scone.
Coffee Shop at Rannoch Station is a must visit.
Breakfast was very good and had plenty choice for my husband who had cooked breakfast both days. I don’t usually eat large breakfast but had small size on Sunday morning which was great. The location was suitable for us as we visited house of Bruar and Pitlochry for shopping. We also visited castle and was very interesting. The hotel was busy on Saturday night but did not hear any noise from room. Would defineatly visit again.
We stayed three nights to attend a wedding at Blair Atholl Castle, and the property was ideally located for the venue and the train station. There is a useful shop moments away, and we enjoyed a pleasant meal at the Atholl Arms where staff were very friendly and food was tasty. The cottage is very clean with decent facilities and comfortable beds.
Beautiful location by the river, many lovely walks around. The owners left us some very welcoming surprises and kept in touch. A warm, clean, extremely comfortable and very nicely furnished lodge.
Excellent food served in both the golf club and on site restaurants by very friendly staff. Nice coffee served by a toasty open fire in local hotel.
Spacious, clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Easy car parking on the drive. Ducks in the garden. We enjoyed the spooky trains passing. 12 minute drive to Pitlochry. A few minutes walk into Blair Castle. Highly recommended. We never return to the same place but it’s so good that we are talking about booking it again.
Ptarmigan is a beautiful house in a beautiful setting. The room was so spacious and comfortable. The owners are very friendly and they serve up a wonderful breakfast. Blair Atholl village is lovely with a few places for food and drink. Can not fault this place. Go!
Very nice secluded location in scottish countryside. Deluxe King room was really nice with huge bathroom and really nice bath and shower. We didn't have breakfast or dinner at the location so can't comment on that but we had a really nice stay at the hotel.
A great location within Blair Atholl. The chalet was exceptionally clean. It was bright and the outside balcony was an added bonus. The owners were on hand to answer any questions we had during our stay and had a lovely welcome gift for us.
This is an absolutely beautiful hotel, positioned in a quiet area surrounded by greenery and the mountains. It’s lovely and peaceful. The room itself was decorated to the highest standard with comfortable furniture.
It's a decent enough hotel for those on a budget looking to stay in the area, and includes brekafast in the fee which is helpful. One member of staff was very friendly, and the common afreas are spacious and cosy.
