Great location for walks but it’s SO quiet in the evenings! Not much option for good food except greasy ‘and chips’ places.
Next time would stay somewhere within driving distance of the Brecon National Park. Expected Brecon to be at the hub of things but wasn’t. Saying that it’s a pretty centre.

Lovely picturesque town, plenty of shops etc
Down side absolutely shockingly no transport!!!
You have to get a cab and that was almost impossible, they really need to improve transport links, I had to book a cab from abergavenny which cost a small fortune just to be able to catch train home.
It's better if you drive

From the town with independent shops to the breathtaking walks this is a lovely place to spend some time to take in the Welsh scenery. There is plenty of parking and places to stay and prices are reasonable. The museums and community centres are not to be missed.

Our visit to Brecon was to meet friends and celebrate a milestone birthday. We had a fantastic bit short trip and regretted not having more time to explore the town more as well as the local countryside.
The cottage is located in a small hamlet which is so peaceful. It is equipped with pretty much everything you would need for a stay away. The location meant that you were within 10-15 minutes of Brecon town centre & the surrounding hills.
The standard of finish was exceptional & I would recommend it to anyone, also we’ll be certainly going back, as there’s plenty of walks to do in a wonderful part of the country.
Josh & Jess were perfect hosts who made sure they were on hand to meet us on arrival.
We had a fantastic long weekend stay at Vale Farm. The location was perfect - about 10 mins from Brecon and within east reach of the Beacons. The scenery was stunning and the children loved playing in the field with the dog. The owners were really friendly and helpful with local information. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and the pool and hot tub were a huge hit with our 11 and 9 year olds. We will definitely be returning!
Excellent communications before we even arrived. We were greeted by the owner Tony who looked after us really well. The room (in fact the whole place) was beautiful, clean and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable - we slept very well. Breakfasts were just superb with an extensive choice, all cooked to perfection. Great location as well close to the town centre. We really had nothing to complain about at all!
Owners could not have done anymore, she was extremely friendly to all guests, nothing was too much trouble.
Very dog friendly allowed in all areas of the inn.
Brilliant breakfast catering for all needs, as I am vegan I had a good choice of for the hot breakfast.
A simple but decent pub food menu, good pitstop before carrying on to our other destination
Great breakfast in the morning, the full English includes a continental breakfast too which was nice. The showers were hot and clean, room and toilets were warm and clean too. Plenty of free parking and a great location to explore the Brecon Beacons national park and really helpful staff, who suggested a good circular route from the door up to Fan Frynych.
A very warm welcome on arrival: very easy parking and convenient for the town. We had a double/twin room with a spectacular view over the Brecon Beacons. The room was immaculate and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were simply excellent - with plenty of choice. It is one of the best B&Bs we have stayed in - and we certainly hope to go back.
We had a really enjoyable stay with Nigel and Myfanwy, who were wonderful, friendly hosts. The bedroom was spacious, stylish and spotlessly clean and the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast cooked by Nigel was top class. The location was perfect for exploring Brecon town and the surrounding beautiful area.
Very convenient location, just 10 minutes walk from the town centre. The room was large, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The views from the bedroom window were wonderful. There was a good choice of food at breakfast and the quality was exceptional. The owners were very welcoming and friendly.
It was a lovely quaint but spacious property with everything we needed for a 6 night stay. Nice decor and all mod cons, good WiFi, great garden to relax in. Situated in a convenient location in which to explore the Brecon Beacons. Excellent contact from the owner throughout. Would recommend.
Brecon isn’t a big place so everywhere in the village is within walking distance. Christine is fantastic. She’ll help you with anything you need.
The room was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed.
Breakfasts were fantastic.
Second stay in this wonderful Inn, the staff are always friendly and the food is delicious! The rooms are comfy and have all the usual amenities. The location is ideally suited for the Brecon Beacons and surrounding areas.
Spacious room with very comfy large bed and fab view of Honddu and the Brecon Beacons. Friendly staff and a good breakfast, if limited in choice. Close to town amenities; easily walkable. Good value.
The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Lovely shower. Breakfast was great with lots of choice. Location was really good, within walking distance of Brecon town centre.
Beautiful location in the Brecon Beacons, close to the town centre and integrated into the medieval castle. Excellent breakfast and great venue for a party!
