Everything about the guest house and our hosts.
Mathew was brilliant a fountain of knowledge giving advice on best places for evening meals or a drink. Rosie and Mathew were very welcoming helping with our luggage and the room was perfect with a lovely seaview. The choices for breakfast is outstanding including home made yoghurt, marmalades, and even home made peanut butter. Nothing was a bother I will definitely return can't recommend enough

Location was great, is just a 15 minute walk to Brixham harbor from the property. Property is in 2 halves, great for us as we had 6 adults so we had lots of space, there are 2 bathrooms, 2 kitchens and 4 double bedrooms. We were in Brixham for a family wedding at Berry Head so location ideal. Hosts were amazing, very accommodating and flexible with good communication, thank you Bruce. Lovely personal touches like the cream tea and milk left for our arrival. Would highly recommend.

The location of the property was excellent, just minutes from the main harbour (although the stairs were hard work!)
We loved the roof terrace and the whole house had a homely but quirky feel.

The house was located on the main road which is made of stones. You can't open the window because there is incredible noise from 5 a.m., especially cars driving on these stone or people passing by. A huge mess

We liked the town very much, although it was pirate festival so not seeing it under normal circumstances. We ate at Beamer's and The Berry Head Hotel, both excellent. There is a vibrant working harbour and the whole place is very walkable. The pirates were fun too!

Brixham is a working fishing harbour, so if you like eating fresh fish it is a no brainer. The centre is based around the harbour and there are some short flat walks round the harbour and along the breakwater. There are several good restaurants (not all fish), two or three nice pubs, a wine bar and a cocktail bar. There are some wonderful views if you walk up to Berry Head and the old fort. You can of course walk the coastal path north to Paignton and Torquay or south to Kingswear and Dartmouth. Or instead take the ferry or book a longer boat trip. There is also the steam train from Torquay to Dartmouth which you can intercept at Churston.

Great choice for places to eat.
Great choice for places to eat. The walks around the area are so scenic but hard going if you are not used to hiking. Lots of places where you can just sit in peace and quiet. Worth a walk up to Berry Head and the forts. Some nice nature walks as well. Also walk up to the Battery and the coves just further along the coast path.

Beautiful harbour area and stretch of the South Coast Walk.
Beautiful harbour area and stretch of the South Coast Walk. It's a lovely town that does not have the winter shut down feel of some other coastal towns in the UK, probably because it is also a working port town so never really completely switches off.
We ate in La Petit Maison and Rock Fish; both fabulous restaurants that I can highly recommend and drinks/cocktails in Liberties on the Harbour front; also very much recommended.

We were returning to visit relatives.
We were returning to visit relatives.
Brixham is an historical fishing village with a great deal of character. There are many lovely places to visit in the area which are not too far from Brixham.
The coast is lovely with lots of places to walk and enjoy the seascape.
During the summer you can take a trip on the Western Lady crossing over to Torquay.
There are a selection of local shops were you can stock up on provisions without the need to go too far.
You can also enjoy a trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway, joining at the station stop on Dartmouth Road.
Kingswear is a short drive where there are beautiful views of the River Dart and neighbouring Dartmouth accessible by car or foot passenger ferries.
This property has been beautifully converted to provide a small but perfectly formed home for a couple to stay in. Everything is brand new and of high quality. The bed was very comfortable, and the property contained everything you needed for your stay. Emily left us a cream tea and homemade shortbread on our arrival, which was a nice surprise! We particularly liked the fact that the property had its own dedicated parking space and outdoor area with fantastic views over the harbour. We will definitely return if we come to Brixham again.
This was a fantastic guest house, extremely clean, very welcoming with car park spaces on the property. The room was lovely with tea and coffee facilities, hairdryer and a very comfortable bed. Brixham town / harbour is a 10 minute walk away or there are regular buses outside the house. The hot tub was an added luxury which I highly recommend using and the breakfast was amazing with a fantastic choice. Linda and Joe made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived and nothing was too much trouble.
The location was so convenient, 5 minute walk into the centre/harbour. On site/free parking was a massive positive in Brixham. We stayed at number 6 - it was modern, clean and had everything we needed inside. Jihan was always a message away, fast at replying and so friendly. We told her that it was a get away for our early anniversary and we were welcomed with a card and a few gifts! I would definitely recommend and come back to Wavecrest. One of the best places we have stayed!
Breakfast was made to order, you had to order on a form the night before, before 10pm. 15 minute walk to the left into Brixham. 10 minute walk the other way brings you to The Berry Head Hotel. Breakfast was excellent, couldn't thought it. Rooms all ensuite, we were in room 4, we had a side sea view. Gary and Sara very friendly and welcoming, they live next door, but you have your own keys to come a go as you like. Views from rooms are wonderful.
Lovely clean caravan, nicely decorated and everything you need! Great location and good on site facilities whilst still being a nice quiet break. Passes to use the pool etc came in at under £10 each for the week. Sharkham point carpark is the best place to park if you don't want to walk down to St Mary's bay and it's free. Would love to stay again!
Great location with views over Brixham harbour and the English Riveria beyond. Very good breakfast and very attentive and friendly staff. Parking is only a couple of streets away (in a car park dedicated to the hotel) and dropping bags off at the hotel first was pretty easy, especially if you drive up to the hotel from the harbour.
Stunning Lodge, clean homely those extra bits that go the extra mile. The view are outstanding. So quiet. We can honestly say it was amazing perfect for a quiet break but close enough to the stunning brixham harbour. Lots of places to eat and drink, all dog friendly
This has to be my new happy place, can not wait to go back
Lovely clean hotel in the heart of Brixham that made us smile as we drove in with a great big pirate on the facade. A fantastic breakfast was included making it incredible value for money. Table and chairs came in handy for our fish and chips takeaway. Would definitely stay again.
Decorated and equipped to a high standard. Very clean and good communication with host. Walking distance to the harbour, shops, bars and restaurants. Host was very helpful and friendly and made sure we had a great stay. Would definitely recommend it. 😁.
Pure luxury. Heavenly bed, sumptuous bathroom, perfect get away.
The calm ambience of the room contrasts with the hustle and bustle of Brixham Harbour below and it is possible to immerse yourself in comfort listening to the sounds of life around.
Great location overlooking the harbour. Comfortable, and with all equipment that you would need. Plenty of room for our group - just four of us. Expensive - but possibly worth it for the location and comfort.
A very well equipped apartment and located well for access to the harbour, local shop and bus stop. Sharon ensured we had a comfortable stay and we were left an extensive Welcome pack. Very good value for money.
The public areas are good, and the ‘snug’ a revelation stairs and lobbies are in need of updating but the lovely food and very helpful and friendly staff make this perfectly located hotel a must revisit.
very sympathetically and lovingly restored
good location, at the harbour in under 10 mins.
excellent proactive owners, made to feel very welcome. good value.
The accommodation was superb, with possibly the best balcony view in Brixham, fantastic location for the town and harbour, the welcome pack was spot on.,
