Brockenhurst was a great location for us as we were visiting Beaulieu motor museum. We wished we had stayed for longer as we would have had time to explore more like some of the beautiful walks. On our way to the motor museum we drove through the national park the scenery was lovely. We had evening meal at The Filly Inn the food was excellent.

Can get very busy and crowded during peak holiday periods. Best times to enjoy the New Forest are probably early Spring or Autumn. Parking a car or larger vehicle can be very frustrating at peak times and electric charge points are very limited in public access areas.

Brockenhurst is only a small forest village but it has lots of fantastic pubs and even a hotel.with a spa. It's central for visiting the new forest and the train station makes a day trip to Bournemouth car free!
Lots of walking on the doorstep, period houses, ponies and donkeys walking about and a great bakery for picnics .

The snakecatcher was a great place to eat along with the local curry house.
There was plenty of places to get your food shop done and the people of Brokenhurst are so friendly.

House was in perfect position just by local shop.
House was in perfect position just by local shop. Very clean and had everything we needed. Wasn’t sure how washing machine worked but as stay was short wasn’t used. Perhaps instructions would help. But thanks to host it was all perfect. Would recommend
We absolutely loved our stay at Forest Acorn. The apartment is truly exceptional in terms of comfort, facilities, warmth and location. Brockenhurst is a lovely place to base yourself to explore the New Forest with lots of lovely restaurants and cafes nearby. Our host was very helpful with local tips and was very friendly and accommodating. I knew there was a welcome box but was surprised to see it included bacon and sausages, really lovely touch. On a rainy day we even enjoyed the games available. Thanks for a lovely stay!
Good central location for visiting the New Forest and Dorset coast. The property had a dishwasher and washing machine. The street parking worked well for the times that we were at the property. A parking clock was also provided for guest use in New Forest District Council car parks. It was pretty cool to be right in the heart of Brockenhurst among the hustle and bustle of the main Street.
This hotel is a bit of a gem. The highlights for me:
1) Location - It is right on the edge of the New Forest National Park
2) Food - the evening meal was excellent. I ate there 3 of the 5 days and was not at all disappointed
3) Staff - friendly and helpful always
4) Hotel - full of personality in its own right
I will certainly be returning - both for business and pleasure
Forest Park is a very peaceful and comfortable hotel on the edge of Brockenhurst and is almost surrounded by the woods and a common. Our bedroom was very warm and comfortable with no noise at night, either from outside or inside the hotel. The dinners were mainly excellent, especially the cottage pie which was so good that I had it twice. The staff were helpful and friendly.
We loved the location of the hotel. It is right in the heart of the New Forrest. Great for walks. And close to Brockenhurst village centre. All the staff are exceptional, friendly and most helpful. The Cloud hotel is also dog friendly. This was our second visit to the hotel, we will definitely be booking again in the future.
The location of the Huntsman was suberb right in the centre of Brockenhurst so easy access to local shops and for walks in the new forest.
The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was spacious with a nice big bed and tea and coffee facilities which were replenished daily.
This was a self catering let. Very clean and well presented accommodation. Well equipped kitchen/dining facility. Comfortable sleeping/bedding and very good bathing and shower facilities. Central to Brockenhurst and very close to shops so no problem if you run short of milk etc.
All of the staff were super lovely, the hotel itself is gorgeous & very cosy, our room was lovely and modern (shower etc.) and bed super comfortable. Lovely touch to have the room smelling of lavender when we arrived and the radio on. Breakfast was also super tasty!
Cottage was well equipped, clean and welcoming with several extras and treats. Garden areas to sit out in,welcome as very hot during stay.
Ten minutes walk to pubs and restaurants, five to shops.

The grounds of this hotel are spectacular, with views of deer and horses. The new forest is on your doorstep!
The room was very well equipped and clean. The location was just right for exploring the new forest on foot. The breakfast available at the retreat across the road was excellent. There were plenty of shops and restaurants available in the area.
Beautiful location in the New Forest. Lots of scenic roads of course. The restaurant was exceptional. We invited friends for afternoon tea and it was delicious. We also dined in the restaurant - superb! Breakfasts were great.
Lovely room in the heart of the New Forest just steps away from the Brockenhurst train station. I stayed here twice. Tracy, my host even gave me a deal on my second stay. I will absolutely stay again.
