The hotel has a fabulous location overlooking the harbour and bay in Portballintrae. The dining room is beautifully appointed and the view is lovely. We had evening meal here which was filling and tasty, though it was focused on meat and potatoes with virtually no vegetables. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful.

If you're visiting the Giants' Causeway or driving around Northern Ireland / Ireland, this should be a serious contender for your business. A warm, beautiful haven in an often rainy and cold if starkly beautiful place, Gray's was a delight when we got there on a very drab afternoon. The room was huge, the facilities new and clean, and the restaurant served us well-prepared fish that probably came from just miles away. And while the wind howled outside and the ocean foamed wildly within view of our windows, we were happy to be inside in a nice (and truly vast) room. You will be, too.

Very friendly host, clean and spacious room, breakfast was good, although not a full irish, but I got bacon and eggs and a continental breakfast buffet. The house is next to a gas station and just a few minutes from the city Bushmills, but there was no noise, it's been quiet. I think there are 10 rooms available, so it's definitely something professional. . Would definitely stay there again, thanks!

Small quaint town. Not much to do, especially during Easter weekend. You must get a Bushmills coffee and Stickey Toffee Pudding from the Bushmills Inn. And visit the Distillery and Giant's Causeway. Take the red trail and then shepherds steps down. Great views (and not terribly difficult)

Conveniently located near the Giants Causeway and the Carrick-a-rede bridge. Not many restaurants to choose from and most close early. If you can't find an open restaurant get the pizza from North Coast Pizza. We also had a good meal at the Bushmills Inn. The distillery tours seem to book up 4-6 months in advance but a tasting in their bar is just as good. Get the hot toddy!
The location of the Causeway Hotel could not be better for visiting the Giant's Causeway and doing some coastal hiking. We loved our time there and had a great time exploring in the wind and then warming up in the bar of the hotel. The rooms were adequately sized and very comfortable and being that it's still cold outside the radiators did a great job of drying out our wet shoes and socks. :-) The breakfast included with the fare was delicious and the food we had each night in the bar served its purpose with friendly staff.
Great place to stay. This family run guest house has helpful, friendly staff. I was thrilled to find my room had a bathtub, not the usual tiny shower. A hot bath after a long hike was wonderful. Breakfast was very good. When I asked about walking to Bushmills they suggested walking along the train track, which has a trail all the way along it. It beat walking on the road. It is fairly close to the Giant's Causeway and the Causeway Hotel The Smuggler's Inn is also fairly close by for a good lunch or evening meal.
Very comfortable accommodation which felt very homely. Simon was a great host and made excellent recommendations locally. The location was perfect - close enough to walk into Bushmills for a meal and a distillery tour and an easy drive to so many beautiful places on the north coast. We were so close to the Giant's causeway, which meant we were able to go early (at 8am) and be one of the few people there before the busloads descended! We stayed 2 nights, but would have loved to stay longer.
A really convenient spot to use as a base to explore the stunning coastline of Northern Ireland. The accommodation was really comfortable and beautifully decorated. The host,Ann, was most welcoming and accommodating. Our breakfasts were expertly cooked with everything anyone could possibly want. Loved it. Our bedroom and shower room were most comfortable. The entire place was Covid secure. We felt very safe.We will come again. Thank you to our hosts.
The apartment is perfectly situated in Bushmills on the Main Street near several cafes, supermarkets and restaurants. Rooms are clean and spacious. Showers hot and with good water pressure. Reliable Wi-Fi. Access to Bushmills Distillery is a relatively short walk and the Giants Causeway can also be reached on foot or by the old tramway near by. There are also buses to the Giants Causeway although we have no experience of them.
We are so glad we picked this place to stay for the weekend. Spotless and newly renovated (and a stone throw away from The Giants Causeway) Grays at Bushmills did not disappoint. We recommend having a bite to eat at the Smugglers Inn, the cosy pub inside the Hotel. The food was delicious, (I would recommend the slow cooked pork) The breakfast also is not to be missed!! We will definitely be back.
The accommodations were comfortable and it was certainly quiet.
I must have been a little late for breakfast the first morning because there was no one there. I had cereal, which was just fine. The second morning, I met the manager, who was very nice and he made a fine, cooked breakfast.
It's only a few minutes' walk from the main street in Bushmills, so it's very convenient.
The apartment was set in a block of several others bordering the town of Bushmills. There are plenty of amenities on hand with various shops for food supplies, cafes and a great pub or two.
great location to explore the Northern Ireland coastline.
The local people are accommodating and friendly.....
The area where hotel is situated a short walk & you are onto the cliff walk at the Giants Causeway.
It's a beautiful isted Manor house, with lovely bedroom rooms make it a very relaxing stay.
The food is always excellent.
This is our second time staying, will certainly be back!
Charming Irish countryside location with a view of the farm fields and ocean in the distance. Few minutes drive from Giant's Causeway, Bushmills and Carrick a Rede. Wonderful host who was accessible the entire time. Charming and clean rooms with more than the basics!
The cottage was perfect for group of friends. The house is clean and plenty of space for 6 people. Can't beat the location in the North Coast. Short drives to Bushmills, Dunluce, Ballintoy, Portrush...We walked to Giant's Causeway and to the hotel for pints.
Absolutely stunning location, perfect base for exploring Northern Ireland. The stream/river behind the house is visited by heron and otters and there's even binoculars for you to use to get a better look. Great stay!
Great location next to bushmills inn, house was lovely, clean and updated. Simon our host was great - very responsive and helpful- were coming. Also close to everything and causeway.
Nice furniture, linens, towels, water pressure in shower, central heat. Convenient walk to Giants Causeway, Old Bushmills and the nice restaurant at the Distillers Arms
